I would really like to thank the nurses and anesthesiologist. (I'm sorry I don't remember their names). They were so kind and caring. The nurse after I woke up really helped me and seemed to genuinely care. All of them did. When I was being put under anesthesia, I was really scared, crying. I'll never forget before I fell asleep the nurse but her hand on my shoulder and told me don't worry, I'll make sure you're taken care of and nothing happens. It was sincere and truly made me feel safe. I'm still sore today which is expected. But I just really wanted to say thank you to the nurses, the anesthesiologist, and the nurse who took care of me when I woke up. This has been a better experience than what I've had at Kaiser. I was very scared not to go to Kaiser. I'm happy I did though because these nurses really truly care. read more

I was very pleasantly surprised by this location!! my surgery time was supposed to be 9:30am, and I was out of surgery before 9am! Super quick and efficient, all of the nurses were amazing and made me feel super comfortable. They made me laugh a lot before I went in and after also. Our calls to the medical staff phone number were answered, and the medical staff members provided helpful information. Our preteen grandchild, however, has more honesty and consideration for others than the office staff at Glenwood Surgery Center on Magnolia Avenue in Riverside, California. Our calls to the office staff (including billing) went straight to voicemail, and we received no return calls to our inquiries. After completing half of the colonoscopy prep on the afternoon prior to the procedure, I received a phone call at 3:41 p.m. on May 26, 2026, from a young lady informing me that my procedure time had been changed because they needed to squeeze me into the schedule. I reminded her that I was the first on the schedule for Dr. Negusse. She told my husband and me that Dr. Negusse had gone on vacation. I asked who the substitute provider would be, and she told me it would be Dr. Zhen. When I asked if Dr. Zhen was a woman, she answered: "Yes, see you tomorrow." Click. My calls this morning proved two falsehoods: Dr. Zhen is male, not female. Dr. Negusse was called away unexpectedly. She was not on vacation. This lack of transparency as a new patient at this medical center concerned me. I cancelled the procedure. I have elected to have my procedure elsewhere, dealing with both a competent medical staff AND office staff. Extensive training in office etiquette for current staff members is seriously needed, or a complete replacement with competent office staff members would be advisable. I have worked in administrative positions in hospitals and medical offices, and we returned calls within 24 hours. This treatment was inexcusable. read more

Referred to Glenwood for a procedure. At first I was dismayed that this facility was 45 minutes from my house, in traffic. On arrival however, I was seriously impressed with the cheerful and welcoming demeanor of everyone, from the reception staff to the medical professionals responsible for my care. My family has always used Inland Surgery Center in Redlands, a ten- minute drive. A good choice too; however, if I get the chance to use Glenwood again, I won't hesitate to make the drive! read more

Seems my Dr disappeared, no longer in the Corona office or even in the city ‍ but I thought this is where I had my last procedure upper GI done so I called in hopes to find him & there was an issue w/the phone, it gave me a flashback & I almost felt, yes I had the right place, she acted like she couldn't hear me then hung up. I just wanted to find out how long it had been & if they knew where my dr was. I just saw my old review. So yes it was the right place/surg center. I Never have issues w/my phone but I bet if I call, she will not hear me (again)... who knows maybe it's the building. There is an anesthesiologist working here named Rieker I believe. If you get him RUN. I met him before my procedure and he seemed like he was either having the worst day ever, or was just a genuinely unpleasant person. I kept trying to lighten the mood and be polite, but I wasn't mistaken. Before he put me under he gave me the first drug and then YANKED the pillow out from under my head so hard my head hit the gurney with a thud. You could see the nurse Alfred's eyes go big. He didn't know how to react. I woke up with cuts in my mouth, a black eye, and a bruise on my shoulder. I was more sore from the way I was handled while under than I was from the procedure I went in for. read more

I had surgery procedure there on Oct 5th 2023. My surgery wasn't until 1:30pm and I was on a 2 day fast, but they took me in at 1:00pm and when I went into the back area to prep for procedure, the nurse staff were so very friendly, and I loved how organized they were. They made me feel so relaxed and comfortable there, the whole time from start to finish. My Doctor, Dr. Choi, is so nice and loved the haircut by the way. Good staff but very dirty unisex bathroom in waiting room--I waited and used the clean bathroom in operating room.

Only one receptionist was friendly when going through paperwork with my family member. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous and while there's a sign disclaimer of the varying times they're still not transparent with the patients. We received a call and had us come in early and the receptionist had no idea of the phone call when we arrived and still waited an hour to check in. Every family member is told to remain jn the waiting room anticipating that the procedures finish early, however, i've waited more than 2 hours for my family member when this was anticipated a 30min procedure. When i checked in with the main receptionist to ask for an update on my family member she did not even look up from the computer to speak with me. I'm a healthcare worker too so i understand not being able to predict the doctors schedules but the lack of communication within the secretary staff is laughable read more

I had my gallbladder removed here yesterday with my Kaiser surgeon and Glenwood Staff. The staff here took care of me every step of the way. They don't allow any family to come with you so they'll have to wait in the car in the cover carport. I was nervous because I thought I was going to be alone but my nurse traci was there with me before my surgery and another nurse was also helping me. My OR Nurse and anesthesia nurse were very kind and explained everything that was gonna happen. My surgeon held my hand while I was put under and I woke up in recovery with 2 more nurses. The recovery nurses were very kind to me and were patient with me. They help me get dressed and help me out of bed to my wheelchair. My nurse went over discharge with my mom downstairs once I was in the car. If I ever need another surgery I would be happy to have to done here. read more

This is my fathers words. He had surgery today, he was extremely satisfied with the service he got. They were nice from The minute he was greeted in the lobby till the minute he left. Dr. Nurick was great as usual. From my experience I helped fill out all of his online stuff ahead of time it was simple and every thing worked right. They emailed me back confirmation and information. I was asked if I needed to be contacted and I didn't. He was contacted day before to run through everything. He felt comfortable with the staff and what was going to happen. Day if we came in I signed a waiver saying I'd pick him up, they took him up. They called me about 20 min before he was ready to go letting me know it all went well and he'd be ready to pick up in 20 minutes. Went to pick up called when I got there and they had him out in a few minutes. The nurse gave me all the details. My Dad was comfortable in the situation, with the staff and that meant more then anything. read more

They don't return your phone calls, but they certainly make sure to call you to get payment. I called twice to cancel a procedure. Nov 3rd & Nov 10th & they continue to send pre reg instructions. I call & tell her in pre op and she proceeds to ask me "what is my question?" Seriously? I then tell her " why do you continue to send pre reg instructions when I cancelled twice?" I am writing as a family member of someone having eye surgery. Be warned, this facility does not allow you to wait for your loved one on site - despite having a spacious waiting room. You either have to sit in your car or drive home and come back (not a reasonable option for us given how far away we live). We were told to arrive at 12:15. At 1:00 my family member was still waiting for a bed. In the days leading up to the procedure I had staff call me twice. I'm not the patient nor do I live with or near the patient. They were confused about which eye procedure and which eye. I would never have a procedure done here. No matter how great the surgical team may or may not be. Support staff are too disorganized and there is no place for your person driving you to wait. read more

I was scheduled for Carpal Tunnel Surgery early Friday morning, the staff that was there was welcoming and all smiles not to just me, but to all those in the waiting room. Called back for preop interview, the nurse was warm and friendly. She brought me back to the preop area, Liza, welcomed me and explained everything. The entire nursing staff made me feel comfortable while waiting for my procedure, checking on me asking if I needed anything. This was my second surgery here at Glenwood, all the staff there is Awesome. They followed up today with a speedy recovery card signed by those who assisted me. read more

Had surgery done on Thursday and it's 5 days after I'm on pain but of course that comes with any surgery. The staff, doctors and nurses at Glenwood were all amazing! I get major anxiety when it comes to produces getting done and everyone was so nice. My Ent Dr. Gabarine is simply amazing from calming down his patient to making sure the parents or partners of patients were okay. Dr. G referred me here as this is where he does is surgeries. DO NOT RECOMMEND. My boyfriend went here to have his clavicle surgery done. First issue was how late they started on him with zero updates. They were supposed to send a text after the surgery letting us know he was in recovery. We were told the surgery would only take an hour but 3 hours passed by and they still had not updated us. Turns out the doctor was running late while we were worried for his life in the waiting room. Woman in the front was very rude and would not give any updates despite our concerns. They rushed him out of recovery within 15-20 mins (supposed to be in there 45 to an hour). Did not clean him up whatsoever. Not to mention, they did not use a proper bandage over his stitches. The bigger issues began once he arrived home. When he began to gain coherence, he expressed his concerns as the nurses confused him with another patient prior to surgery, were discussing their personal lives loudly with disregard for patients, and made it known that their technology was "old school." Oh, and they also said they had no idea what to do for ice as they didn't even have any ice packs. The Doctor did not prescribe the correct dosage of medication or the correct type of medication, leaving him in excruciating pain for 3 days straight until this problem was identified. Don't go there, I am not emotionally driven, I am a healthcare professional, I cancelled my procedure after waiting for 3 hours, as I couldn't handle waiting more, the worst thing was nobody has any information to share when I will be in for colonoscopy procedure, fasting for 28 hours, poor communication, bad waiting area. They do schedule patients procedures after each other directly and may be 3 at the same time, I was in the waiting area with two more patients, and I swear that the other two patients are slept for at least an hour time, the understand money language but not patients care. Friendly advise... don't go there, I have told by one of the employees to see another place as the physician there is always wants to have many patients waiting so he guarantees maximum number of procedures in one day... all about money read more

I want to give a special shoutout to "One Poke Peggy", as she was able to set up my IV in one shot. A task for some due to deep rolling veins. Yesterday was my first visit to Glenwood surgery center. Bryanna was my intake MA. She was wonderful! She made me feel so comfortable and was always smiling. Andrea was my prep RN, she was also amazing. She explained everything and made me feel comfortable and at ease. She answered any questions and was so personable! After my surgeon arrived (he was late due to delivering a baby) I was passed to Lezlie, my OR nurse..Amazing nurse! So caring! My post OP Nurse was also great with me but I cant remember her name, oops, (maybe Dena) anesthesia got me! Lol. My experience was great. Thank you to all the staff of Glenwood for taking such great care of me. I would definitely recommend this out patient surgery center! read more

My daughter just had a procedure done. We couldn't be any more happier with this place. From the front desk to the recovery nurse. They were all super nice and caring, compassionate and understanding. They made us fee very comfortable once they wheel my 8 year old daughter away. One of the nurses came out into the lobby to let us know that our daughter had just been put to sleep and that she was ok they started an I.V on her once she was asleep so that she wouldn't be scared. We are so pleased and happy with the extra attention and care they gave us. They when as far as to changing the channel in the tv to a kids show. We got there at 9:30 and we were on our way home at 11:30. My baby girl was never scared or ensured at any time. read more

I am currently here waiting for my husband to have his final surgery in an hour. We are checking in, ready to pay another expected copay of $329.90 and the front desk woman hands us a bill saying we have a balance in the amount of $130. We paid over $850 in copays the first surgery not expecting to have to pay this place yet more money. Now look....I'm a reasonable person, I manage a dental office & fully understand how Insurance, deductibles and claims work. So when I asked the front desk woman why there's a balance she says it's inside a packet of paper. WHAT??? So wait a second, you're telling me that you're asking us to pay even more money than we expected to pay you and HAVE NO SKILLED WAY TO EXPLAIN IT TO US? Aren't YOU the one who is working on the other side of this window? (Dumbfounded) Sad to say but the first experience with nurses and back office staff was above wonderful but today, within a matter of minutes I have fully lost trust in this facility. When it comes down to money and you work in the medical field and you are in a position to ask patients for money, you better know damn well how to explain the "whys" behind it. A joke. NEVER recommending this place to anyone I love or care about. So I walked in to this lovely place called Glenwood Surgery Center I had my appointment for a surgery at 9:30 AM The placed looked pretty busy. The front desk signed me in and told me to wait. In a few minutes I was greeted by Peggy, OMG what a lady full of energy, she took me in and introduced to Tracy They both took really good care of me for the initial set up. Kept on checking if im doing good and need anything. Then came Dr. Brar who introduced herself, she was very polite and explained what she will do and what I should expect. We also talk  about our home land. It was really nice meeting and talking to her. After that I was just sleeping and didn't even knew what was going on. The surgery went good. No pain. The doctor did a great job. The entire staff was really helpful and took really good care of me. I would recommend this place to everyone. I wish I could give them 10 stars. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I'm here with my husband for his surgery which was scheduled at 9:00am and they didn't take him back until 11:30am. Not only did they take him back later they told him he needed to pay $760.00 or he can't have his surgery. Unfortunately I couldn't be there because of COVID so I was in the parking lot outside waiting when he called me. So lucky we were able to pay it but we weren't told or aware of anything before hand about having to pay that much money. So that about a hour and a half later I received a call that my husband was done so I went to park in the pick up area and than waited 2 more hours for them to bring him out. So after calling and calling nobody knew what was going on and I asked if he was ok they said yes he is awake that they would have the head nurse call me, for what I said and than she hung up. So she didn't call so I called again and they said they are having a hard time waking him up after they told me he was up and fine over a hour ago. Never have we had such a horrible experience with a doctors office/surgery. Every person we talked to had no idea about anything. They even said they were calling my number and I didn't receive a call and asked her what number do they have on file and she wouldn't tell me. The worst staff and experience ever!!!!!!!! read more
