Hello friends, I just would like to let people know about a wonderful place to go if you ever need surgical procedures. Unfortunately I've had to go there twice now. Both experiences have been amazing. At least the staff that I dealt with. I've dealt with a second nurse now and her name was Antoinnette. They seem to be really good at hiring people that comfort you before you go into surgery people are super friendly and you would feel like you have known them all your life. I was so so blessed to have this nurse before I went under. Otherwise I would've probably been an exciting filled wreck. Praying never have to go but if you do need to this is the place that would make you feel safe and comfortable. Mine were just for surgical check ups but I still had to go under. I was scared and both times each nurse were just amazing.. Just an FYI. Thank you Antoinnette

    Ooof. Still swollen.

Man, was I ever nervous about having surgery. I've been with Kaiser for over 40 years, and when I recently broke my foot and got a trimalleolar fracture of my ankle, I was already bummed to have to have surgery, but then I learned I would also not be having the surgery in a Kaiser facility. I read all these reviews and you people really messed me up, talking about rude people, a horrible receptionist, hours of wait beyond your scheduled surgery, and rushed out with no recovery time. Cripes. I was so nervous going in. However, my own experience was absolutely fantastic. Very, very professional and kind staff, friendly smiles, help at every turn with my scooter and accommodating my husband and son who were waiting for me in the waiting room. My nurse (Tori) was a doll, very sweet and spent time making sure I was comfortable and was made aware of everything that was happening. She stayed with me for a while telling me the story about her own recent break and reassuring me that I was in good hands with my surgeon and anesthesiologist. She seemed to really care that I was relaxed and reassured. She even laughed at my stupid puns and half-assed jokes. I met with both my surgeon and anesthesiology and MAN, were they nice people. They answered every one of my questions, found out answers for concerns I had that they weren't in charge of, and absolutely reassured me at every possible turn to be sure I knew I was going to be okay. I'm an ultra fast metabolizer on top of all my worries, and the anesthesiologist listened to my every concern and explained to me how exactly the sedation and being under general would affect me before, during, and after the surgery. I went in to the surgery very confident in these men who had my health and ability to walk in their hands and it went off beautifully. I'm now in a surgical splint and after the expected first few days of pain management, am doing just fantastic. I would absolutely recommend this facility, the staff, and the surgeons and medical staff. :)

From the very first consultation to my recovery, Dr. Ku and his team have been nothing but professional, compassionate, and incredibly skilled. At 41 years old, I feel like my life has just begun since my surgery. My only regret? That I didn't find Dr. Ku YEARS AGO! The results are beyond what I could have imagined -- I feel and look absolutely amazing. Not only has my confidence skyrocketed, but I feel lighter, healthier, and more comfortable in my own body than I ever thought possible. Dr. Ku is a true artist and a perfectionist in the best way. He listened to all of my concerns, answered every question with patience, and delivered results that exceeded my expectations. His bedside manner is warm and reassuring, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his patients' well-being. If you are even thinking about a breast reduction -- stop waiting. Don't put it off like I did. Schedule your consultation with Dr. Ku TODAY. You will not only be in the best hands, but you'll be giving yourself the gift of a brand new chapter in life. Dr. Ku, thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving me my confidence, my comfort, and my life back.

Summary: I regret…read morechoosing Dr Ku to perform my tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) and two separate arm lifts (bracheoplasty). I definitely don't recommend Dr Ku for those procedures. I'm unhappy with the results, detailed below. Details: First in 2022, I had a tummy tuck and an arm lift, both during the same surgery. Tummy Tuck Results: The left and right sides of my stomach didn't match. The stitches were tighter on the left end of the incision, creating a muffin-top effect only on that side. Arm Lift Results: My arms didn't match either. My left arm was itself unevenly proportioned, and it was larger than the right arm. (See photos) At post-op visits, I mentioned these concerns. Dr. Ku repeatedly responded by saying "the body is not naturally symmetrical". I felt like I was being dismissed. In my opinion, it's fair to expect matching arms after plastic surgery. If I were getting breast augmentation, I would absolutely expect my left and right breasts to reasonably match. I expected my arms to reasonably match. About a year later, I paid Dr Ku for a revision surgery. I had another arm lift. And I had abdominal liposuction to blend and smooth things out. The results: My arms still don't match. Also, the second surgery created a new fold on the back of my left arm near the armpit. Dr. Ku said the section had been "over-tightened". (See photo) Worst of all, now I have a very noticeable dog ear on my right elbow. A dog ear is an excess of skin and fatty tissue that pokes out at the end of the stitches. It's very embarrassing to me, I feel like it calls more attention to the scar. (See photos) Dr Ku said that in order to correct the dog ear, he will have to extend the scar further down past my elbow. So that would mean no chance of hiding the scar under short sleeves, which is very upsetting. First, he estimated that he could do the dog ear correction under a local anesthetic for a "few hundred". Later, after he saw the fold on my other arm, he said it would be fully another revision surgery. Well, I just couldn't afford a third surgery at that time. Call me crazy, but I had not anticipated needing two revision surgeries. I asked for an extension on his revision price policy, but Dr Ku said no. I could not understand the issue with giving me more time. We were already two years into this. I had been very patient with him! And I had tried so hard to stay positive! The whole situation felt very unfair to me at that point. I realized it was a bad idea to consider a third surgery with Dr. Ku. I was just blinded by the revision price. Fast forward to now: I seriously regret the arm lifts. Now, my arms are scarred, plus they don't match. I've been wearing long sleeves for three years, even in triple degree summer heat waves. I'm just so embarrassed. And I don't even know when I can afford another surgeon. I wasted so much money, time, risk, stress. Don't risk throwing away your dream surgery. Just choose another surgeon. Two stars because the staff is great, and the facility is nice. I felt safe having surgery there.

She asked me financial questions first, "will you be paying this cash or insurance." I said, insurance, and then immediately, Tracy, said "we don't do that procedure for that insurance." I was confused, and I'm thinking if my insurance approved this referral surely they should take it. She was huffing and puffing and scoffing trying to ask me questions I really didn't know. I remained cool and calm, and even thanked her for her "help." I was completely disappointed that a person with such a terrible customer service could be called "manager." There was a language barrier and she was completely frustrated and rude. Perhaps, I couldn't understand what she was trying to communicate. I could understand her words (they were not that broken) but she fell short of articulating her point. I went back to my PCP office to tell them they denied seeing me and please transfer the referral to someone else they told me they were within network. So I bravely called again and I was met with a frustrated attitude saying, "ma'am, we may be in network but our surgeon does not work on that procedure." I finally understood, what I'm being referred to is not his specialty. Which is weird because on his website he does indeed have an arm portfolio. Meaning he is taking on arm lifts. Unsure if their dishonesty is due to my insurance type which is discrimination, or just them not wanting to deal with the paperwork. Tracy, if you cannot find the words, I understand, take a moment, breathe and think of the words to communicate effectively instead of being rude to a potential cash paying customer/ patient. This has left a bitter taste in my mouth, so much, that I'd steer away from ever recommending this office or Dr. Vu. The manager isn't only rude but dishonest.

I have also taken my daughter there for laser hair removal treatments for several years, and we have always appreciated Angie, who has been wonderful, professional, and one of the main reasons we continued returning to the practice. Unfortunately, my most recent experience left me extremely disappointed. During my daughter's last appointment, only one of her three treatment areas was treated due to sun exposure concerns. Despite only receiving a partial treatment, I was charged a $50 fee. As a long-term client who has spent thousands of dollars at this practice and referred others, I politely requested that the fee be waived. The office manager, Nadia, brought me into her office, closed the door, (which I found odd) and refused to waive the fee, explaining that the office had "lost business." Yes, my appointment was rescheduled for a later time per my request but they had an opening and they accomodated. I asked if I could discuss the matter with Dr. Bennett, but the Office Manager, Nadia stated that she handles the financial matters and would not put me in contact with the doctor. After a subsequent phone conversation, I requested a call from Dr. Bennett specifically to discuss what I felt was unprofessional treatment. I also asked if I could speak with Angie, as I value her opinion and trust her judgment. Nadia's response was, "She's just a nurse," which I found dismissive and disrespectful. The tone of the conversation was upsetting enough that I began recording it so I could accurately relay my concerns to Dr. Bennett. Once I mentioned I was recording, the tone of the conversation noticeably changed. I was also told that 1.5 hours had been blocked for my daughter's treatment, despite her appointments never taking that long in our years of experience there. It is disappointing that a practice would risk losing a loyal, long-term client and future referrals over a disputed $50 fee, especially when we still have prepaid credits remaining on our accounts. What concerns me most is not the fee itself, but the manner in which my concerns were handled. After many years as a satisfied client, I never expected to feel so disrespected and unheard. I sincerely hope management and Dr. Bennett review how long-standing patients are treated, because patient loyalty and respectful communication should matter. Dr. Bennet, I hope you get all sides of the story. Your front desk receptionists were helpful, Angie is amazing, but all ruined by your Office Manager.
