When the fireplace broke, Maddie discussed options with us to replace the fireplace and then scheduled Ryan to come by soon and give us an estimate. When Ryan came, he discussed fireplace options and installation concerns with us. Ryan also took the time to investigate, clean, and fix the fireplace before he left. Now we have a working fireplace to hold us over until we can schedule its replacement. We were very pleased with Fired Up Fireplaces and would recommend them to anyone looking for a new fireplace to maintain/repair an existing fireplace.

Came out in a timely manner. Checked the unit and got it lit almost immediately. Asked what the problem was and he joked saying that it was magic. We discovered later that we weren't using the remote correctly which was why the igniter wasn't sparking. He was there about 1/2 hour. Said he would send us the bill. Got the bill a few days later for $169!! Obviously, I was shocked. Seems they should have told us before taking on the service call that they charge $300/hour. The invoice stated, "reprogrammed the remote". I sent them 2 emails advising of my question regarding the charges, but they never gave me the courtesy of a response. I cannot recommend this company.

Jason at J&J answered the phone and scheduled an appointment. He and his wife came out and inspected our 2 chimneys. Photos from inside the wood stove chimney showed a large build up of creosote partially obstructing the chimney. this is likely why the smoke had been blowing back into the room. It showed me that the prior chimney repair company had done a poor job of cleaning our chimney. J&J chimney removed the blockage, put in a steel liner, did repairs on the other 2 chimneys, and did so for a better price than i had been quoted before. they brought a vacuum and cleaned up after themselves. i am pleased with their work and will use them again and again, and recommend them to others. it's hard to find people these days who do a good job, are honest, on time, do what they say, and answer the phone.
