When they showed up (on time) he inspected my chimney flue with a mirror and light and informed me that there was no creosote buildup in the chimney at all therefore no cleaning was needed. They could have very easily pretended to clean it and charged me but didn't. He saved me about $180. Thankfully they were honest with me. That type of integrity is rare in the business world today. Can we give negative stars??…read more Our roof and chimney had been leaking for years and caused the wood to rot, needing extensive repairs. When A Sweep Above pointed and repaired our chimney and installed a new liner we were impressed and asked Jon to repair our roof as well. The red flags started when we were asked to write the checks to Jon personally and not the company. He explained that the company had recently opened a new bank account and they were unable to deposit checks for a certain number of weeks...big red flag but Jon is good at what he does...convincing you that doubt is wrong and offensive and has no grounding. They checked our roof and gave us an estimate and began to work...late, almost every day...late...very late! The trucks they use were broken down (they looked and sounded like this was more than likely), they needed to finish a job that suddenly came up, or some other excuse was given. It was so bad that they worked into the night...10:00 to 11:00 pm. They had powerful lighting set up in the front yard so they could work...who works on roofs often enough at night to warrant owning large lighting sets?? Red flag! After they tore the top third of the roof off and began the repairs, Jon told us that they found additional damage that would need repaired and said that if we didn't do it we'd be paying more in future. So we told him to go ahead. Another check was written...again to Jon and more late days and late night work was scheduled. After they got the second section of roofing off and had been working on it awhile, surprise, surprise...the rest of the roof needed to be done. If not, it would cost more in the future...and we said no. We had been systematically pressured to continue and knew our roof was in bad shape. Our problem is not that it didn't need fixed, it's that he didn't tell us when they did the initial inspection. Instead they happened to find more damage after we'd written each check. Red flag!! When the team left the job they left a wake of debris and dirt in our attic and a mismatch roof that has already needed repair (less than 9 months later). The shingles are different colors (we knew some would be close but not exact but even those didn't match each other), the vent and peak are poorly done with nails that are too short and the wrong type of shingles were used in some places. The chimney which we were so impressed with is not properly sealed and we are looking at thousands of dollars of work that needs to be done to fix our roof...AGAIN!! The roofer who did an inspection yesterday said that we have more than enough proof to take Jon to court to get our money back. Do your homework...research online and, if this has happened to you, please post your review where others can find it. If you're reading this review...BEWARE!

Oksana kept me apprised of the date of installation and ETA. They were on-time, and polite, took photos of the materials and final installation on the roof and hook-up in the basement, and sent them to me. That evening the boiler never came back on so I texted the installer (Walter's son) and he put me on a Facetime call to help me find the switch. When that didn't work he called Walter to report the problem and then let me know that Walter would be here in about 45 minutes ... they wanted to be sure I had heat overnight. Walter arrived at 9:15pm and quickly rectified the problem by finding the "reset" switch. The boiler immediately started up. Within two hours I was blown away by how quickly my old 2-story house had gotten toasty warm!! I've put a lot of money into repairs in this house but this investment showed an immediate improvement in energy efficiency! Thank you for a great job!

They took a $2,000 deposit on my job and gave me a start date. They showed up several days later and immediately said it was going to cost an additional $1,300 which I gave them. After countless promises of random days they would come finish the job they told me they wouldn't come finish it until I paid them the final 2000 payment. I reluctantly gave it to them on the owners word it would be done. Now 2 months later, they have now ghosted me and I have a half a stucco wall and missing bricks on my house all for the low low price of $5,300. I am reporting them to the BBB and the PA chamber of commerce. I hope nobody else falls victim to their dishonesty and inability to schedule and complete work.
