I had been a loyal customer for years when Nina owned the salon, but I will never return under the new management. From the moment I called to make an appointment, I should have take that as the first red flag. The female employee taking the call struggled to understand what I was saying, even after I repeated myself several times. She never even asked for my name before "scheduling" the appointment and told me she'd be doing my nails in replace of Nina. The male technician who sits at the front right of the salon at table #8 was extremely rough with both my child and me. While doing my child's nails, he made several of her fingers bleed and then aggressively pressed oil into the cuts instead of acknowledging what happened. She was in pain the entire time she said. When he did my fill, the experience only got worse. He repeatedly drilled and filed into my skin and underneath my nails, put his long fake finger nail into my cuticles multiple times breaking the acrylic from my skin, gripped my hands and fingers painfully tight, and constantly jerked and pulled my hands around. He also couldn't understand what I was asking for, which led to an argument with another employee before he literally yanked my hand away from her. By the time I left, my fingers, hands, nail beds, and even my joints were aching from how rough he had been. My child and I sat in the car afterward and cried. I've never left a nail appointment feeling scared, sore, and upset before. It was an awful experience, and we will never return or recommend this salon to anyone. If you choose to go here, I would strongly advise avoiding the male technician who sits at the front of the salon at table #8.

She never asked me what color I would like my case to be and ended up using a builder gel already tinted pink (very NOT natural) so I had to work with that as my base color whether I liked it or not. Everytime I asked "am I ably to file my nails shorter, or make it less boxy, she would just look at me, look at my nails, and then start speaking to her coworker. I feel like if she asked me questions along the process rather doing her own thing; I wouldn't have to voice myself so much :( I'm not from the area & needed my nails done desperately but I definitely won't be coming back. Had to go somewhere else to get them more natural/less thick/fix the shape.

That said, for the price, there are a few things that should be more consistent. I usually get the Volcano pedicure, which is listed at $75 and includes an additional 10 minute massage. About half the time I receive the full 10 minutes, and the other half it feels closer to 6 to 8 minutes. I realize that may sound minor, but when something is specifically advertised, I expect it to be consistent. It is less about the time itself and more about the expectation that is set. Overall, I still return because my experiences here have been better than other places I have tried in the area. With a little more consistency, this would easily be a higher rating.

Once I was briefly separated from my daughter, the technician approached her privately and tried to recruit her into what can only be described as a pyramid scheme. My daughter is a beautiful, innocent young woman, and she was completely unprepared to handle that kind of pressure. As a parent, I felt deeply uncomfortable -- the situation had undertones that were not only predatory but alarmingly close to what I would associate with grooming or trafficking tactics. This kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and dangerous. Needless to say, we will *not* be returning, and I strongly urge others -- especially those bringing young women -- to exercise extreme caution. If management is unaware of this behavior, I hope this serves as a wake-up call. And if they *are* aware, then this place has no business operating.
