Thank god I stopped the haircut before she cut the front. I asked for an a-line haircut. She agreed to an a-line haircut. Unfortunately, she made a blunt cut. She was performing the blunt cut in sections when she started taking down the front section, I ended the cut. I saw what the back looked like from the mirror, and I realized that she did not have the ability to make an a-line haircut. Keeping both front pieces allowed me to mask how poor the haircut turned out. read more

First impressions: When I walked into the salon, the smell of bleach hit me like a brick wall and the music is so loud. There's a boutique up front, which sells clothes and hair care products (hair care products, I'm used to. Clothes? not so much...). I came in five minutes before my appointment and ended up waiting 10 before they called me back. By the time I left, my throat was sore from the bleach smell. I went in for a haircut only. I came with a good idea of what I wanted, and I had a picture of a style I knew my hair could achieve. I have very thick and curly hair that is difficult to style. Plus I am in recovery from trichotillomania, a mental disorder that makes me pull out my hair impulsively. Because of this, I also have a bald spot that I hide. My appointment was with Mary. I didn't know this based on the other reviews, but Mary doesn't speak English. This made it very difficult to explain to her what I needed for my haircut. I tried explaining to her how to cut my hair so it could cover my bald spot - she didn't understand. I tried showing her the photo of what I wanted and tried explaining that my hair has a lot of bounce and that cutting it would require care - she didn't understand. My bald spot is directly on the top of my head, so I usually get it cut so I can part it on the side. Cutting it this way means that one side is usually longer than the other. Mary cut my hair perfectly even on both sides, despite me trying to mime that this isn't what I wanted. The language barrier made things very difficult and frustrating and since we were already halfway through the cut, I just let her finish. On top of all of this, she seemed like she was in a hurry. When I first came in, she rushed me to the hair washing station and very quickly washed my hair. All in all, my appointment only took 15 minutes, which I was not expecting. I had a hairstylist in Fresno that I absolutely loved, and he would take care in sculpting my hair to look exactly how I wanted it. He was conversational and understood my needs. I couldn't make it to him this time and I deeply regret not waiting for him to be available. I understand that I probably should have just left, but I was in need of a haircut and I thought I could make it work. I will not be returning. read more

Wedding disaster avoided- wedding tonight, and first stylist from another salon- was to say at best- horrible- when I left I was in tears. Went to yelp not believing an Alabama woman here for her son's wedding would find a salon at last moment- yet I found Daniel at Rococo! I just got a cut and blow dry at Rococo and I'm so happy with it! I usually go to a chain haircut place because I don't get a trim often and I wear my hair up frequently but it's my birthday at the end of the week so I thought I'd try somewhere nicer. I'm glad I did, and I'll definitely be back when I need another cut. The shop was clean, everyone working there was so nice, and I walked in and was in the salon chair within ten minutes. I wasn't expecting the blow out but it was a very pleasant surprise (maybe because I'm not used to going to a nice place and this is just what they do? lol) but I walked out feeling like a million bucks. Honestly I've tried and tried to give this place a fair chance. EVERY time I walk into this place I feel like I'm being judged. You just don't feel like the girls WANT to do your hair, you feel like they are the ones doing you a favor. I went in to get a trim and a style, i came in right after washing my hair and the lady blow dried my hair and then made me wait 40 minutes while she continued on another customers hair. Where do I even start !!!! This is place is over priced , and there not even experienced for the prices they charge. I went to get hair extensions, which they bragged about how well they did extensions, with micro links. The lady by the name Adriana installed my extensions and did a horrible job , her job was supposed to last 6-8 weeks and it only lasted one week , when I called her to fix it she gave me the run around UNTILL I finally called her and told her I payed to much money that she needed to fix it , when I went to get my extensions fixed. She charged me an extra 130 to fix the hot mess she did on my hair. I would never send a dollar at this salon . Word of advice don't advertise your work as professional when you are a starter at installing extensions. This is the worst salon ever. Stay away from this salon read more

I found this place on here (Yelp). Great reviews as you can see. My mistake was having an appointment with someone that wasn't mentioned on here. I just thought, maybe , she was new to the place. I went in to meet her, the day before my appointment, for a consultation. Very nice lady. Her name is Alicia. We discussed what exactly I wanted and how long it will take.. Etc I ended up choosing a medium beige blonde. Which really is a brown. My appointment was set at 9am the very next day. 8:55 am , I was waiting in my car for the salon to open at 9am. 9am , still no one. So I decided to send her a text, she replied that she's around the corner. (I just thought to myself, how unprofessional is this?) Anyways , to make this short, I told her I didn't want any red tones, just the brown. I ended up with red tones. I expressed to her that I'm upset because this is what I asked NOT to have. She continued on about "oh I would have had to bleach your hair and charge you $300+". Ouch! The price was no problem to me. I had my hair bleached before so I know the whole process. I told her that I would pay however much to get what I asked for. Then she goes and refuses service to me and told me to go get it fixed else where. I gave it two stars because I'm sure the other stylists there are awesome. If she was the only one, the place would have definitely got one star. *** I went ahead and changed it to one star because ANGEL, don't even know who the person is (he wasn't present) , wrote an unprofessional response to my review. That just proves how unprofessional that place is and how Alicia likes to stretch out the story. I was told to go else where to get my hair fixed because Alicia was "tired" after she insulted me. Alicia is amazing. I have a really short pixie haircut and no one can seem to cut it right. She spent so much time texturing it and making sure it was perfect. She would dry it, style it and then continue to cut just to make sure it looked good like I would normally wear it. It's not like super cuts where they cut it wet, leave it wet and then send you home to dry it and style it yourself to find out how terrible the cut is. A dye job went bad and frantically called the salon as soon as it was open. Daniel immediately told me to text over what I want and what I unfortunately got. He made room and answered honestly about what he would try to do. He did not even get mad when I asked him for pictures of his dye jobs. I arrived and he was quick to work. He is quiet but very thorough and a great multi-tasker. I had to study anyways so not talking much helped. Six hours later, the bad dye job became the hair that I was initially wanting. He also gave me a bit of a trim. Had an A-line cut that was growing out unproportionately. This dye job was supposed to be a one time thing but maybe I will keep it up with the amazing service that I received at the salon. After seeing so many positive reviews for this salon, and specifically the hairstylist Itzel, I thought I'd give it a try. Worst decision ever. I have been dyeing my hair for 20 years now, and when Itzel started to do my hair it began to turn green. I had never experienced this and she blamed it on my previous hair stylist. In the end I felt horrible about how my hair turned out, and I went back to ask that she fix it. Instead of being apologetic, she seemed confused and she and the owner of the salon wanted to charge me again to have it fixed. After an unnecessary discussion, they agreed to fix my hair free of charge, but highlighted this was an exception. To complete the negative experience, Itzel in the end told me I made her feel uncomfortable and to look for another hair salon. Never encountered such little professionalism and rudeness. This salon is not worth the elevated prices they charge nor the little costumer service they provide. read more
