I've only had them on for 4 days, so I can't speak on the longevity of Nicole's work, but I can tell you that I'm really happy with the way they look. The only reason I considered 4 stars is because the shop is very plain. There are no bells or whistles... and I'm OK with that because Nicole does great work. I'm very picky about my lashes. I've been getting lash extension since 2008, so I'm not a rookie. I used to get my lashes done is San Jose and Los Gatos. The techs there are skilled and there seems to be a lash salon on every corner. We moved to Marina 2 months ago, and I was bummed that I couldn't find a good lash person in Monterey or Carmel. The quality of work just wasn't was I was used, especially for the price. Driving to San Jose for fills was becoming such a pain, so I decided to try Nicole based on the Yelp reviews. Here's what I like: Nicole is friendly and clean. I liked the fact that I could smell hand sanitizer (or soap) on her hands. She uses good products. I can't remember the lash size she used, but they were soft to the touch and perfect for my eyes. They are thick enough to be seen, but not so thick that they weigh my eyelids down or look like I'm wearing falsies. The glue she used didn't both me (sometimes during allergy season, I can be extra sensitive to the glue). Nicole is fairly quick. I think it took an hour for a fill. Now understand, this was the first time I saw Nicole. She was doing a fill on someone else's work, so I think an hour is pretty decent. Nicole's prices are reasonable, especially for the end result. What I really like and appreciate about Nicole is that she is REALLY gentle. I have an extra-sensitive lash line, and she never once made me flinch. There was no pulling or yanking of my old lashes. I could actually relax and enjoy my time on the table.

First off, I was walked to a room and the waxer did not give me privacy to undress. Maybe this isn't that strange to some but Ive never had this happen. Secondly, the most painful wax I have ever experienced. It hurt when the wax was applied, hurt even more when she pulled and did not apply any pressure to the waxed area afterword like every other waxer I have been to does. I thought maybe it was just me but I have been getting waxed for years and never experienced pain like this. When I got home, I checked the area and my skin was bright red and torn in several spots (see photo). I do not have sensitive skin and have never had this experience. If you book online you pay a small deposit which goes toward your total, but make sure to remind them (they tried to charge me without including the prepaid deposit). I was hesitant to post this because I do not like talking badly about local businesses but I would hate for somebody else to have this experience. The location itself isn't the nicest but not a deal breaker. The waxer was nice, the service was quick and reasonably priced but I will not be returning. I hope others have better experiences.

However, when we came in, we did not get greeted - like at all and it was unfortunate because there was two ladies at the front desk Yolanda and Amarie (Amarie was helping another customer and her service seem great. There were some add-on services that I had inquired about and that girl Yolanda pretty much told me she didn't know and never got back to me. Didn't ask if Manny the masseuse did not look into it for me it would've been a bust. He offered an alternative service as far as a foot mask. That was an even better option for us so we were pretty thankful for that, but if I had left it up to the other girl, it would've just been when it was . confusion and a whole bunch of nothing Yolanda was the girl that helped us again no greeting She kind of just waved us to the back, pointed at the robes ask us our shoe size and that was really it Once we were changed standing there awkwardly, she walked me into a room and left my mom in the hallway and then asked me. Manny was the only person nice enough to attempt to help her and put it back on after the massage was completed To be honest for $400 I was pretty disappointed. Sad part is the following weekend. I took my mom to happy feet down the street and she got a foot and neck massage and I got a neck and shoulder massage and the total was $70 and to be honest I felt more relaxed when I was leaving there, then I did with aqua blue . I'm kind of glad I decided to do that because honestly, I was going to book with Manny again because he was amazing but with those prices to not be happy was pretty unacceptable. My dad passed recently, so Mother's Day had proven to be harder than expected. That's why I wanted to do something extra special for her this year by booking the spa.
