I booked the Mother's Day special Mom and me package for this Saturday before Mother's Day. The girl on the phone was extremely kind and friendly that was appreciated. However, when we came in, we did not get greeted - like at all and it was unfortunate because there was two ladies at the front desk Yolanda and Amarie (Amarie was helping another customer and her service seem great. I wish she could've been the one helping us.) on the flyer for the package. There were some add-on services that I had inquired about and that girl Yolanda pretty much told me she didn't know and never got back to me. Didn't ask if Manny the masseuse did not look into it for me it would've been a bust. He offered an alternative service as far as a foot mask. That was an even better option for us so we were pretty thankful for that, but if I had left it up to the other girl, it would've just been when it was . confusion and a whole bunch of nothing Yolanda was the girl that helped us again no greeting She kind of just waved us to the back, pointed at the robes ask us our shoe size and that was really it Once we were changed standing there awkwardly, she walked me into a room and left my mom in the hallway and then asked me. Did you tell your mom to come -I looked at her like girl I don't even know what's going on so why would I tell her to come once we went to the room? It was like again we were kind of just sitting there like what's going on a few minutes later she brought in a glass of champagne for my mom so we hung out there for about 30 minutes before they took us back for the massage. I think it was a really big missed opportunity to say "hello Welcome to aqua blue. My name is so-and-so thank you for booking this package" or happy Mother's Day whatever but she literally didn't greet us at all. My mom looked bummed that it was starting off with a really lackluster experience I paid $400 for this package You would think once they saw my reservation for such a package they would've at least acknowledged it in some way By the time we got upstairs, I was pretty frustrated with the service we were receiving -thank goodness Ruben and Manny were really friendly and helpful. It probably would've been lower stars if Manny wouldn't have been so unbelievably sweet, caring and compassionate. My mom was really struggling getting off her jewelry and nobody would help her. I have really long nails so I was struggling. Manny was the only person nice enough to attempt to help her and put it back on after the massage was completed To be honest for $400 I was pretty disappointed. Manny did a great job and I am very thankful for him. My mom was really happy with Ruben. But did I feel like I was there getting a luxurious experience for Mother's Day absolutely not! Did I feel like we were bothering them with a groupon package absolutely! The advertise these chocolates that they had, I asked about them they didn't have any available. It just seemed like a lot of missed opportunities and we were there the day before Mother's Day so any of the ladies that went on actual Mother's Day We're probably super bummed that they didn't have any of the accoutrement offered. Sad part is the following weekend. I took my mom to happy feet down the street and she got a foot and neck massage and I got a neck and shoulder massage and the total was $70 and to be honest I felt more relaxed when I was leaving there, then I did with aqua blue . I'm kind of glad I decided to do that because honestly, I was going to book with Manny again because he was amazing but with those prices to not be happy was pretty unacceptable. My dad passed recently, so Mother's Day had proven to be harder than expected. That's why I wanted to do something extra special for her this year by booking the spa. We have been to massage envy before and that's honestly where I was gonna go this time, but I was trying to do an elevated experience that was outside of a corporate place but honestly, I think even the value at massage envy is greater than here because again with those prices to not be happy it's just crappy honestly it took me a while to write the review because I didn't want to seem Like I didn't enjoy the time with my mom. I absolutely did. I just didn't enjoy the lack of customer service- if I was paying what I paid over there at happy feet this would've been a five star review but $400 later to leave unsatisfied.... I went to Aquablue for the first time today! I got the signature tension massage (75 minutes). My massage was with Lulu. I called and I was going to be running 5-10 minutes late. They were so accommodating and understanding. I understand they cannot always do that but I really appreciated it this time. The atmosphere is very calming and they offer a very comfortable robe to use while you are there. The facilities are super clean as well! My massage was absolutely amazing. Lulu worked on all of my focus areas plus identified other areas that she felt were really tense. It is a deep tissue experience so make sure you like deep tissue work before you book this massage. I have been coming here for many, many years. I have received a few different services. The front office staff is always friendly. You'll see Frank the owner often. They will give you a soft robe, slippers & a locker. Then take you into a private room with low lights & soft music. offer you a glass of champagne or cucumber water while you're waiting. The only time I have ever had to wait longer than 15min, they apologized profusely & offered me a 2nd glass of champagne. Was the best 20min wait I've ever had! Lol It's always easy to make an appointment & they will send you a text confirming your appointment a couple days ahead of time. They have different discount days. Purchased their recent Valentine's Day special for myself and my beau. The massage was more like a full body rub down. The foot treatment was a nice touch, similar to a salt or sugar scrub as part of a pedicure. I was surprised when the ladies finished us after one hour, as I expected an hour for each service, or somehow a combination to make up a total of two hours. See the attached advertisement directly from their website... after the service was done I noticed the flyer at the front desk stated "one hour". The receptionist explained that it was two separate massage therapists who made these flyers. This was very misleading and sneaky on their part. An actual massage (deep tissue) for an hour runs less than half this "special" price. This was no special deal at all. Will not be visiting this spa again. Customer service was mediocre and things are definitely over priced. read more

I would have given one star except that I have had nice facials at this spa in the past. I received a facial and brow wax, During the brow wax my skin started to bleed and the spa specialist just kept saying "oh, you lifted, you lifted" as if somehow it was my fault. I didn't think much about it until the next day my other upper eyebrow was bleeding and I had two burnt eyelids. I called the spa to inform someone and left a message. The staff is always nice, explains everything, they have clean bathrooms and lockers to store your items. A quiet room to have water or champagne and comfy robes and great overall layout. They listen to what I like, they put the right pressure, there is no rush to get you out of there afterwards. Fraudulent and misleading business. The Valentines "Special" was no special. AquaBlue's advertisement online was a couples 2 hour message for $310. When scheduling, I requested clarification on the special, the gal confirmed it would be a 2 hour massage for each person. Once we arrived for our appointment we were immediately taken back to the changing rooms and escorted to the relaxation room. Once robed and in the couples massage room upstairs we come to find out we are only booked for 60min. We were confused and felt it was too late to ask questions since we were already in the room. After 60min of a rub (not a massage) I asked the front clerk what exactly we were booked for. She stated it was the valentines special for $310. The advertisement at the desk now said 60min vs 2 hour massage. I was livid! I felt bamboozled and the entirety of the service was not worth the money. According to their website a traditional massage is $120 for 60min. How is a couples 60min massage a "special" at $310?? Lesson learned, I will not be seeking services here again nor will I ever recommend this establishment. read more

I had recently gone in to buy a cream but was shocked to see how unprofessional one of the managers(?) was to their employees. She was basically yelling at them and had repeated multiple times that since she's the wife of the owner she can talk to them however she'd like. They had me scheduled with a female and someone changed it so my therapist LuLu could perform some wrap on another person. Joy! I was trying to release some stress and they managed to stress me out more! So no massage and more stress for having to tell the guy I do not prefer him. How embarrassing and stressful for me. All in a robe and had to get dressed and leave. They wanted me to come back later but I literally fit this into my schedule. Apparently making reservations is a challenge if you want something specific. I would think requesting male or female is standard in this business. I went today 8/18/19 for a Aquablue Slim & Tone Mud Wrap. I was very disappointed with the service. The massage therapist spend less than an hour when the treatment is 90 minutes. The cost for the 90 minute service is $145. I informed the receptionist in the front desk about the situation and she apologized and was very sorry that I did not have a good experience. She charged me $115 instead of the full price. Although the receptionist was understanding and gave me a discount, I was not able to enjoy the full experience. The massage therapist did not do her job well. It's truly a shame since I was expecting to have a nice experience, instead I left frustrated and disappointed. read more

I've been to this spa several times and I've never been disappointed--from the front desk, estheticians, and massage therapists. Shelby who is my go to girl does wonders on my skin! She's very knowledgeable on skin care and recommends awesome products. My skin definitely glows after getting a facial with her. As for massages, I've had several different therapists both male and female. I've never felt uncomfortable and when pressure is too much or not enough, all it takes is for me to voice what i need and they adjust accordingly. The masseuse used only elbows on my shoulders even after I said "Ow, I'm too tense there to just dig right in"... it did not feel good and after over $100 spent my shoulders are still tight. The front desk had nothing to say when I commented on the high price and my shoulders still being tense. The face cover on the table smelled like fragrance from laundry soap or dryer sheets - breathing in these toxic chemicals wasn't the relaxing setting I was hoping for. I wanted some water; unfortunately they use Alhambra's water which is fluoridated, no thanks. I really thought such a nice looking place in old town would be a much better experience. I decided to treat myself to a massage since it's been a while. I have gone to Aquablue in the past and received a wonderful massage. Today my appointment was at 12:30. I arrived in the area about 12:20 but had to drive around the block a couple times to find parking. I walked in at 12:30 but was told it was not a problem. Went to bathroom to change and the receptionist asked me if I'd like champagne and I said sure, she said it would be waiting in relaxation room. When I went into relaxation room there was no champagne but not a big deal to me. I waited about 10 minutes in there when my therapist came to retrieve me. She talked to me for about 5 minutes then left the room for me to get ready. I waited on the table for about 10 minutes before she returned. She assured me I had a 60 min massage and she started. She was very sweet and the massage was wonderful except that it felt like the most rushed massage I have ever had. Before I knew it she said it was done. I left the room looked at clock and it was exactly 1:30. I received about a 30 min massage for the price of 60 min. I told receptionist and she didn't seem to worried but did say I should have received the full hour from when the therapist starts the massage and said she'd give me a 10% discount. So I paid $95 for a 30 min massage. It's a shame because I was planning on coming back regularly, And I reduced the therapists tip considerably since she cut the session short. I'm a bit disappointed because I really did like this place on my past visits and was looking forward to returning but I'm a bit turned off about paying that much and only receiving half the service I'm paying for. read more

Very nice place! I felt super welcomed and doted on. It was quiet and tranquil with yoga type music to calm you as soon as you walk in. The receptionist was delightful, I wish I caught his name! He offered me Champaign and it was a short wait for my esthetician. My esthetician was a peach. So sweet and answered all of my questions. I went in for a microdermabrasion which I highly recommend! It was great for my skin and felt nice as well. She explained everything as she went.
