Went to Glow tanning for my first time did a stand up UV bed the girl at the front desk told me if I didn't buy a lotion that I would only get two minutes of tanning. I've pretty much been tanning my whole life. I've never used a lotion besides that factor it was my first time here did a stand-up told me it was nine minutes the UV lights shut off with a remainder of two minutes and 58 seconds. Advise the girl at the front desk didn't do anything. She told me. I'm so sorry. I don't know what happened. Won't be going back to this place not highly recommended. read more

I've been a member here for over 2 years and would highly recommend this business. I typically try to drop in twice a week and have enjoyed great skin health benefits ever since. Awesome equipment, a clean facility and extremely friendly staff. In particular I'd like to give a shout out to Leilani B. This young lady always goes above and beyond to assist customers and it's obvious that she takes great pride in both her work and professional appearance. I went in as a new client after work on a Monday and was absolutely horrified but the customer service. I couldn't even get a sentence out without the two rude blonde girls at the front laughing and cutting me off. I asked a few questions and after being treated like trash, I left. I had worked in a tanning salon myself and customer service IS the business. The owner really needs to real evaluate who they have as the face of their business, because i'm sure they lose a lot of potential customers. It's no surprise that the place was empty. read more

Ok listen. There are a lot of pros and cons to this place, so lets talk about them all. PROS: 1. The girls who work here (especially Jules, Katie, Sophia) are very kind, knowledgeable and hardworking. They make it fun to come in here. 2. Lots of services to pick from. I have an unlimited membership so I can do a bunch of stuff which I can't get at other spas. (However this benefits me more in st. pete. I am only down here when i visit friends) And the cons... (Buckle up): 1.This place is grooosssssssssss. I usually tan with the st. pete location which is so much cleaner. I feel bad for the girls who work here. there is usually only one person working, doing all the cleaning / checking people in / sales so i understand that they probably dont have a ton of time to clean.This place needs a scrubbing bad.... new coat of paint wouldnt hurt either. there are mold in the services, and dust everywehere. 2. there is a revolving door of employees. I've been tanning for 10+ years and ive never seen a salon go through so many employees. I swear there are new people everytime i come in. I'll ask where old favs have gone and they say they've already left ... what does that tell you about their management ...? 3. Lotions are SO EXPENSIVE. Actually, everything here is expensive. Everything is an upgrade. I feel bad for the girls again because they always have to try and upsale the customer when these prices are CRAZY. I buy my lotion and bring it in. It's just too expensive to buy here. 4. Changing your membership is hell. I went from a family to a regular unlimited plan and making changes was incredibly hard. I like tanning at st. pete because of the quality of the equipment, otherwise, i wouldnt tan here at aall. The quality of equipment is great. (Although I can't speak on the spray tans as I don't ever use those). The reason I'm knocking 2 stars is the fact that there's a hidden $30 initiation fee. This wasn't mentioned at all when the price was being explained to me or when I asked questions about pricing, not until after I had filled out all of my information, toured the place, and then handed my card over (for what I had initially been told was only for the prorate, and then monthly fee would be charged on the 1st of the next month). I even messaged their chat bot ahead of time to ask about an initiation fee and it just spun me in circles without answering. That feels like extremely shady business. read more

Today, I went to Glo Tanning in South Tampa with a friend; I arrived at 7:53 pm as a new client. I filled out some forms and, maybe 10 minutes later, turned them in. We had asked when we would be helped, and Jordan kept saying we were understaffed and busy!! Soon soon!! At 8:38, Jordan asked us what we wanted, and we paid. Soon, it was 8:58, and my friend got sent back. I wondered when I would be going, and she said soon. It's essential to add that people were walking in way after us and getting put in front of us, about 15-20 people. She was treating these customers way better than she was treating us, talking to us in a condescending tone. She said she had to follow a line system when we asked why. There was a woman who walked in at 8:55 for the same thing as us, and she was in and out of the store before us. I understand that people can go in for different things, but it's very unprofessional and rude to prioritize others who have walked after us and patiently waited. Once my friend was done spraying, I told Jordan you don't need to clean it. I'll just go so we can leave she said no, that's not how it works. I told her I had been waiting for over an hour, and she had prioritized other clients who walked in after us, and simply, I was done waiting. She immediately got an attitude with me and snapped at me, so I went to the front desk. I asked the girl there for the owner's phone number or email, and she laughed at me and asked why I needed the phone number. I told her I would like to reach out to the owner myself, and she kept making snarky marks and laughing at me, which was completely unprofessional. Once that happened, Jordan immediately started acting friendly and trying to make up for her previous behavior. We ended up leaving at 9:32. I will never tan at Glo tanning again. Cameron was amazing and explained everything to us in detail. So relaxing and legitimately enjoyable. They didn't push anything on us but did inform us of the perks of joining. My roommate and I just went for a quick spray tan before we left for Vegas and ended up getting the package. Usually for subscription services I'm like-- dang-- I'm wasting money every month on this and want to cancel. I actually really enjoy the services when I go though and it's nice to get away in your own head. The staff is friendly and typically there are no waits-- Very clean and well out together. But the front door situation while you're going to the next machine is weird. read more

Worst experience. Just wanted a single spray tan. Staff member explained membership and I said I wasn't interested and that I just wanted a single spray tan. Said she would do the one charge (so it was cheaper which I appreciated) and then cancel the membership. The membership was not cancelled. I was charged the following month. Have called customer service. Said I was getting a refund in 7-10 business days. Waited a month, called back again and was told I was not getting a refund and they will never refund for services. Awful experience and I will never recommend them to anyone. Trying to scam people for more money. read more

I've been coming to Glo now for about 6 months I think. I was referred by a friend and am so happy I got the membership here! I love all the services they have and the people that work here. I suffer from neuropathy so I was excited to try the cocoon and the skin wellness as they said they both help with pain. I love them both but the skin wellness really helps with the pain in my legs. It's hard to get out of that thing! Only because I don't want to! The beauty angel I like because of the red light therapy. I had surgery in April and have some scars that look so much better since I've been using it. That also helps my legs as well. Love all the tanning beds and just got my first spray tan in 54 years! Not a fan of the stickiness but it does goes away in an hour. And it does turn out really even. Not orange at all. Also everyone is so nice here! Mallory, Brittney and Deanna are the BEST!!! Get the membership! It's well worth it!!! read more
