Bruce was respectful and polite, gave me a fair price that didn't change, and was great at communicating with me! Within a few hours of calling them, they already had a driver assigned and my car got picked up the next day!!! I got so many calls from so many other companies and none were nearly as great as this one. My car got to Florida safe and sound, and the carrier company also had great communication with me and made me feel that my car was in good hands! Horrible communication. I had signed a contract saying that my car would be picked up Feb 1. I waited until early afternoon the day of and heard nothing from the company or driver. I emailed and called and did not receive any response. Finally I spoke to the broker who was on my case, and she kept assuring me that the vehicle was arriving that day without telling me when. At night, I called again and they told me there had been an "emergency" and the car would come tomorrow morning at the latest. I don't believe them. I canceled my service with them. It is also frustrating that the broker called me non-stop early on to get my credit card information then failed to answer my calls the day of pick up. Do not use this place! they have poor communication. They seem to contract out their drivers so if you call GAT they won't know where your car is at all. You'll have to call the driver yourself. There's no guarantee pick up or delivery date. I called the driver several times and maybe 1/4 times he answered to tell me where he is. they are not accommodating at all. Horrible experience with this company, do not use. Talked to Chris last Saturday to schedule my car shipment for Wednesday. I had to call them repeatedly on Monday and Tuesday to get more details on when the driver would be coming to pick up my car. Every time I asked to speak to Chris, an employer would say he was busy. They kept on reassuring me that my car would be picked up on Wednesday or Thursday morning. I called on Wednesday (day of supposed pickup), they did not call me, and apologized for the poor communication as they finally admitted that they were unable to pick up my car in the time that they said they could. I didn't have enough money to pay upfront, they took $125 off my credit card, and the remainder was paid to the driver when the car arrived to San Diego. The only minor issue that I had was that my vehicle was delivered one day late but really not big of a deal becouse I knew it was going to happen after reading thru many reviews. I had a $100,000 dollar vehicle that was supposed to be picked up and transported from Lake Havasu, AZ. to Oregon between 3/26/18 and 3/31/18. On 3/26/18 and 3/30/18 I contacted Global 3 times to verify pickup because we were leaving the state. On 3/30/18 they told me they were have a problem with the driver, but not to worry they would be there on 3/31/18. NO ONE pickup my vehicle. NO PHONE CALL. I had to store my vehicle for a week and fined someone else to transport. I email them no response. I called could not talk to management. I made this specifically to warn people so this doesn't happen to them. This company is FAKE! Even though their contract states that they do not guarantee a pickup or delivery date I was promised it would be picked up no later than the 20th. I scheduled this weeks in advance so they had plenty of time to find a driver. Never called to update me on anyone coming to pick up my Jeep. I called them the 18th and was assured, yet again,that they would pick it up by the 20th. So the 20th comes around still no call. I call them back and was told they will pick it up today. After no contact from the company or driver I have my boyfriend call while I'm at work and they said the driver can't make it totday but the Jeep will be picked up at 8a.m. tomorrow. Fine, I'm pissed but what can I do. The 21st rolls around and it's 10 in the morning with no call from the company or driver. Kim (my representative) suddenly can't be contacted. Nobody is answering the phones so we blow up their lines till someone answered. Some random guy asks me what the driver said but I haven't been given a name or number for a driver so he says he'll figure it out and gives me the info to contact him as well. I leave my boyfriend in charge and head to work. Interestingly enough I get home around 5pm and the Jeep is still here. Call the "driver" said he should arrive within the hour. Now it's the 22nd and I still have my Jeep, no information at all, and a $175.00 deposited fee for pickup but NOBODY EVER CAME! Wtf. Save yourself the time and stress and go with a more reputable company. Do not be fooled by the good reviews this company is full of scam artists and liars. This is by far the worst transportation service I have ever witnessed. Alex was in charge of arranging a carrier to take my car across country. At first Alex was very transparent and communicated details. I scheduled to have my car picked up on a Thursday. I called Alex a few days before pick up making sure we are still okay for Thursday and he said "the drivers early,would it be okay to pick up today."(Tuesday) 2 days early. So I called him when he should have informed me. Anyway, I was fine with that. I told Alex the latest I would be home is 9 pm, and he assured the driver will be there before and waiting on me when I get home to pick the car up. I called the driver after work that same day and the driver said Alex wrote in his notes about my pick up stating " the later the better for pickup." THATS NOT EVEN CLOSE AT ALL WHAT HIM AND I TALKED ABOUT. The driver ended up showing up at 9:45 pm. Which again was later than what I told Alex. The car was picked up with no problems (luckily). I called Alex the next day to ensure the date of delivery for my car and the date Alex provided was in fact NOT the correct date. I found out it wasn't the correct date a few hours before delivery was actually made when the driver called me and I was still 24 + hour drive away from destination. So I couldn't even accept the car as discussed by Alex, and I couldn't have anyone present to see the car with no damage and had to settle for drop off and the driver taking pictures. In addition to that, I have had to call Alex on multiple occasions to get updates on my car when he assured me at the beginning he would update me with my cars status which again, he failed to do throughout the whole process. Once the car was delivered, days ahead of what Alex told me, I called him to try to understand why it came so early. Well Alex said he would find out and call me back. 3 days later Alex never called. I had to call him back, and his response to not getting back to me was "we were busy." The lack of communication and professionalism from Alex has been unacceptable and I will NEVER go back through this company. Don't make the same mistake. I will be moving in the future due to being active duty military, and I refuse to use this company and I'll make sure no other service member does either. read more

So I've recently gotten my vehicle shipped from California to North Carolina. They were all friendly over the phone which drew me in but as we've gotten further into the process, things got worse. So my car got picked up on 5/22/17 and I was told it wasn't gone reach my destination til 5/26/17. Then I was told 5/28/17. Then 5/31/17. Then 6/3/17. I had patiences throughout this entire process. Between the truck being broken down, drivers switching, I was loosing all patiences. At last, it got delivered on 6/7/17. The driver was suppose to bring my vehicle to the base, he did not, he was rude as well. He took the key and went to his truck (off base) and told me I need to figure it out as to how I was gonna get the key from him off base. " I've done my part and made this journey so make magic happen" is what he said to be exact. They wanted me to pay the full amount at first then decided to take $100 off. Over the phone, he said I can pay the driver with my credit card but when I was ready to pay the driver, it was a different story. I had to pay cash. I was very unsatisfied with Global Auto Transportation's service, won't EVER use them again, nor will I EVER refer them to my friends. No service member should be treated as such and I will be taking this situation to the higher ups.
