Cross Country Movers is actually located in the Los Angeles area. As a result they did not arrive at my San Diego condo until noontime and without the required floor covering which was clearly outlined in the condo's moving requirements which was emailed to the company. In addition the moving requirements clearly stated that movers were allowed the hours from 8 AM to 6 PM to accomplish the move. As a result the movers were unable to complete the packing and loading on the day of the move. They had to return the following day to complete the move. Fortunately I had the next day free but had to pay the condo HOA an additional $150 for the second day. So all of this is the bad news. The good news is that my household goods were transported from San Diego to Southport, NC on time and in excellent condition. This was the first move ( out of 7 previous moves ) where not one item was lost or broken. The packers were meticulous in packing everything including crystal glassware and china. It was a pleassure to work with these guys who were pleasant and respectful as well as very hard workers. My grandfather clock was packed in a wooden crate and arrived in perfect condition. I can highly recommend this moving company. The only caveat is that you should note that it will take time for them to get to San Diego and if you have a large amount of household goods it may take them 2 days to pack and load. read more

I decided to do some research looking for the most suitable moving company and trustworthy. I have been looking to ship my car from san diego to new york at very short notice. My original auto shipping company let us down completely by not showing at all and they did not even return any of our calls. And when they did, the original quote has gone up by $500!!! Luckily, we came across Cross Country Movers from yelp, which offer us a reliable and honest service. Even though their quote was slight higher, they have proven to be a reliable company. The driver turned up on time and called us an hour before pickup and delivery. If I have to ship another car, I would definitely go with CCM without a second thought. We are preparing for a job related move 7/2017. I called and was told I needed speak with a senior coordinator someone will call back in 10-15 mins. Sure no problem. 5 hours later no call. I called back reached a "senior coordinator" who apologized and said from now on I will be handling everything personally. Great. Scheduled the In home estimate which could not have gone smoother on 4/20. I called a week later as there was no estimate. They will have my coordinator contract me. 2 weeks later still no estimate or reply. I have found a much more responsive moving company to help with our long distance move. read more

Being in the military, and having to move a lot, it is very hard and frustrating, I had experience in the past where the moving company I contacted before, was very rude. So I figured I should do all the packing and the moving myself with the help of my brother, but it is too much for two people so I started calling companies to help with our moving. I'm glad I checked yelp and came across this moving company. Even though it was a short notice, they were very accomodating and they communicate with me very well. I have my studies in San Diego so I rent a flat here while my family stayed in Columbus where we originally come from but after an accident that's recently happened (their flat went down in flames as it was half wooden) they decided to move altogether and we had to take decisions instantly as the situation was critical. When my son had been enrolled to a university he used to live in a dormitory next to it and come back home for holidays but after he was transferred to a different uni he decided to stay there but the dormitory they offered there was awful and that was pretty hard to find any affordable accommodation for him at that moment. Anyway we kept looking for one contacting via the Internet and sharing what we've found so far but that was next to nothing. Then I realized my house was actually too big for only one person and bought two flats instead of our old home: one for me here in my mother-town and another one not far from my son's uni for him to live in. I've been renting a flat for a really long period of time when my cat suddenly gave birth to six kittens and the flat's owner wouldn't accept them all to stay here. Anyway it was too early to sell them straight away or whatever so after I've had a quarrel on this topic with the owner , she told me to go and find another accommodation. That was pretty sad as I've actually got used to that place so much, but still I had to move my stuff immediately, and the only flat I've found so far was miles away from here but there were no other options however. I hope cats will not be of the highest priority to the rest of my life but we've been moved happily together with all our stuff safe and sound and I'm happy all of the things looks just the way they used to before the move. I have an enormously big family and we all have pretty close relations - that's why we all live together in the same house, but it'd got too small for us recently as my sister is pregnant and she's expecting twins. That was actually figured out not that long ago and so we decided to move now before they're born so that we wouldn't have to do it later with them around and stuff. But the point is, the only house for sale was far from our location and everybody had to work a lot to be transferred to a different state's office by their companies and that meant they had no time to do all the arrangements needed. I can come off to be bossy and pushy when I want work done right, but with this company, none of that was needed. I did not have to worry knowing these guys were getting the job done for me. They were 100% understanding and knew exactly what I needed. They provided everything necessary for a large scale move and I'm glad I had the opportunity to land a gig with them. I could have totally hired any other competitive moving company, however just because they can offer you a better price does not mean the quality of the service is equivalent. The first day was the most troublesome, having to move everything in the living room to leave space for the movers to come in and work. We threw couches on top of each other and stacked chairs as well, and the movers took precaution to thoroughly wrap and package everything to be transported safely. Actually I used to change accommodation a lot when I was a kid as my dad was a military and the whole family moved with him when he had to, however I couldn't get used to it somehow: like, it always seemed that something would go wrong any moment and it was great stress for me, just like it still is. I wished I'd never do it again after leaving my parents but marriage made me.whatever, I mean you can't just call it off after all, but I was anxious as usual anyway from the very moment Ive booked an appointment but it all got better with the courteous way any questions were answered by the company's manager and the movers' professional approach. They even showed up exactly when they said they would and that also saved me some healthy nerves left.
