After numerous emails and phone calls, Wassem (wassemalkhaldi@globalguardins.com) kept pressuring me to cancel an insurance quote I already paid for and finalized. After I canceled and authorized him over the phone to charge my charge for the auto policy, he calls back near the end of the business day saying that the underwriters, Bridgers, denied the policy and offered a much worse one. Note that throughout this process, he consistently misspelled my name on the legal documents! https://globalguardins.com/ This is incredibly deceptive b/c finalized quotes, after confirmation via email and phone, should be just that: FINALIZED. These people sent me two emails and called 5 times within an hour at 8AM. Interesting there have been no reviews since 2021. They sent a quote for $2,000 a year less than I'm paying now without asking me for any information other than vehicle and birthdate. I'm a big believer of if it's too good to be true....it isn't. I'd like to give 5 stars because I was fairly quickly able to obtain homeowner's insurance through them - from a company called Lightspeed - when I was in desperate straits after being suddenly dropped from my previous insurance d/t living in a purportedly high-risk fire zone. That being said, the young lady, who was kind and patient throughout our whole encounter, did give me some disingenuous "encouragement" when I was very concerned about all the trees and mature landscaping around my property being seen as a fire liability; at the beginning of our encounter, I clearly asked her if Lightspeed does an INSPECTION of the property. And she clearly replied, "No, they do not." I don't like surprises, and would rather be forewarned of impending issues, so when a Lightspeed inspector showed up unannounced one day to inspect our property (after I had already signed with them and paid the entire annual premium), I was taken off-guard and flustered. When I reported to him that Global Guard told me there would be no inspection of property, inside or out, he kindly explained that "Yes, Lightspeed does do an "OBSERVATION " of the outer property, mostly to ensure that there is no foliage close to, or overhanging, the home. He agreed that there is a difference in "semantics" between the words "inspection" and "observation", and I said that I felt that the gal was being disingenuous for not preparing me for an "observation." Fortunately, I've always made a point to never have any foliage touch my house or be within yards of it, and to keep up on the never-ending yard work required when living in an almost forest-like setting, so my premium wasn't raised. I just didn't appreciate the added stress of the unannounced visit. read more

Don't sign anything on your phone! I didn't know agents charged a fee. So when I signed the paperwork, on my phone, I didn't notice the $180 fee for a $277 policy. I was surprised when the charged showed up on my credit card statement. read more

I am giving them one star because the staff is friendly, but did not have an overall positive experience with this company. When we first engaged them, the policy had error after error after error. I finally called the California Dept of Insurance for guidance and things rapidly turned around. As far as how business is conducted, the texting has a place, but not for signing documents. Can anyone actually read a full document from their phone? The lack of clear communication, rate of errors (this is a big deal IF you ever have a claim) and the overall disorganization (and excuses instead of accountability for failing to follow through) warrants a go elsewhere review. The final straw was at 1:30 am when Janice texted me and woke me up. I had to go directly through CFP to cancel. Who texts someone at 1:30 am? I didn't think they even worked out of the state due to their weird hours, the 1:30 am text pretty much confirmed they are not operating in CA. read more

I have been a customer for the past year and a half, up until today. I was informed that they would no longer be keeping Aspire Insurance. However, Global Guard wanted me to pay an ADDITIONAL $160 AS a down-payment to get a new carrier. How does this make any sense?? I spoke to Marcus, who is apparently the manager. He REFUSED to waive the down payment as well as to reimburse me the $25 cancelation fee from Aspire. This company does not care about their clients, only about raping their pockets of their money !! In a time like this, when people aren't working and still having to pay for car insurance, we should be treated fairly. Just wanted to update for the sake of future buyers. Please DO NOT work with TONY. I had great communication and service from him to begin with but it ended becoming a mess. He started me off with Infinity Insurance and collected a decent commission for himself which is not an issue. He then sold me another insurance policy with Drive Insurance (Progressive). He forgot to cancel my infinity insurance policy and I was charged for both insurance policies. He stopped responding after I called and texted him. Very unprofessional. I won't mention other smaller issues I had but I would say I was very uneased by my experience with Tony. We started off well but came to an unpleasant finish line. I will remain with Drive Insurance but stop work with Tony. Laarni, Global Guard Representative, did a great job helping me resolve the issue. I'm waiting for a call back after this issue gets escalated to the management. read more
