Review of EightTwenty Solar…read more We are very pleased with EightTwenty's entire process to install solar panels. We have a hip roof which did not allow an efficient placement of panels. EightTwenty was receptive to our suggestion to place panels on the gable workshop roof which allowed double the number of panels. We estimate 24 panels will produce about half of our need. The crew worked very well together, precision craftsmanship, during Oklahoma's extremely hot temperatures. The second day they took us up on offer to start at 5 a.m. The agreed price worked out to a bit over $1,000 a panel (without batteries) plus we will get a special program rebate and qualify for an energy tax refund. We waited over 6 weeks for OG&E to set its interconnection meter needed to get paid for excess production. Going solar will help reduce the world's pollution to slow Global Warming, help OG&E avoid building another fossil generation plant, and stabilize our energy costs by avoiding future rate increases on the portion of electricity we buy from OG&E. One example of rate increases is the OK Corporation Commission allowing OG&E to increase our electric bill for 28 years to pay off one storm that occurred in February 2021. As if that will be the only "freak" storm resulting from Global Warming. Lock in lower prices by buying solar today. But check with your homeowner's insurance and not install more solar than you expect to need (e.g. no more than 115%) or your solar may be viewed as a "business" and the panels will not be covered by your insurance.

Service during and after the sale has been DISMAL at the very best. Communication is NOT one of their strong points!! Installers left with the extra parts, which included the RS485 communication cables needed for the EG4 all-in-one charger/inverter. I've spoken to one of the owners, the Director of Operations and the Technical Manager and I'm still waiting on the cables they promised to ship. Finally just reordered everything they "reallocated". Same type of service was experienced by my neighbor. Try another company like Signature Solar. They've been very responsive.

How refreshing is that for someone to be that honest instead of bs'ing you for a sell? What we thought was a good investment to save us money has only cost us countless hours of time and so much money. Many companies out there are very legit and can be a great investment. SLICK SALES PITCH - POOR PERFORMANCE…read more Southlake Builders re-roofed my home. I had numerous issues in the process. They demanded payment before they finished their contract and threatened to file a lien on my home if I didn't agree to pay them before they completed their work. I'm still picking up nails and roofing material in my yard that was supposed to be removed. They also broke all of my flowerbed yard lights and a ceramic bird bath. I ended up contracting another company to finish the job. I have since found out that other companies charge much less for the same work. There are several good roofing contractors out there but Southlake Builders isn't one of them.
