Burn and Jhoy is my go-to for several reasons: They have a fixed store in the Theatre Mall. No moving around. They have long-term clients to consider in their service. There are at least 4 long-term technicians there. They each have their own specialty. Software for computers. iOS device hardware. Android-based hardware. So on and so forth. There are less middle men. After enough visits to fix my various devices, I noticed that tech repairmen from the Tiangge area would go to Burn and Jhoy when they needed to outsource a repair. If this is where the Tiangge repairmen go to have work done, Burn and Jhoy should know what they are doing service-wise and it is DEFINITELY cheaper than what the stalls are quoting for costs. Through two macbooks, three iPhones, and two iPads, I've always returned a satisfied customer.

A swollen lithium battery is not just defective--it is a serious safety hazard that can overheat or even catch fire. My daughter returned to the shop with the original receipt and politely requested a replacement. Despite having proof of purchase and despite the battery failing in less than a month, the shop refused to replace it, claiming that it was not covered by their warranty. As a consumer and as a father, I find this totally unacceptable. Under the Consumer Act of the Philippines (Republic Act No. 7394), consumers are entitled to protection against unsafe and defective products and to fair and honest business practices. A replacement battery that becomes dangerously swollen in less than a month of ordinary use cannot reasonably be considered a product of acceptable quality. What is even more disappointing is that they refused to assist a 13-year-old customer who simply wanted a defective product replaced. Standing behind the products you sell is one of the most basic responsibilities of any business. I hope the management reconsiders its position and honors legitimate warranty claims instead of denying responsibility when a product fails prematurely. Until then, I cannot recommend this shop to anyone looking for reliable products and trustworthy after-sales service.

Despite the priority line, I'm accustomed to waiting for at least one hour in order to be seen by a customer service representative. I canceled my postpaid mobile plan, because the price kept getting higher. Even though I went from postpaid to pre-paid, I was still billed for a postpaid account. Unfortunately, I could not dispute the charge with my bank, I was told that I needed to speak to Globe. What? I already canceled my postpaid plan. Why do I need to talk to Globe again? Now I understand all the 1 and 2 star reviews! I am being double billed? I was told that I would receive a final bill, instead I received a thank for my payment email. In other words, they'll continue billing me? I paid for my pre-paid service, and I also paid for a postpaid account with the same telephone number. After speaking to a Globe representative today, I was told that I will no longer be billed for a postpaid account. I guess I'll just have to wait and see next month.
