He aksed me what I was looking for and I responded. He then told me to follow him. At his point, it felt a bit sketchy but I had never been to this place so I just toughened up. We went to this place behind Gilmore, there was a hallway that led to a room that hap about six or seven stalls. DBM was one of them. There was a team ready to assist me. I asked for a battery and a charger for my laptop. I gave them the model and they had someone get it. While we were waiting for the battery and charger, I asked them how much it was going to cost me. Having a bit of Chinese running in my veins, I haggled. I asked them if I could get a discount and they really did give me a discount, a big one. When they learned I could speak bisaya, they gave me an additional discount. I was just so happy. They were very friendly too and even joked around with me. When the guy came back, I got my new charger and battery. I paid a very discounted amount and I was on my way. But before I left, I thanked all of them for being very friendly and accommodating. This place has received a lot of positive reviews for their good service, discounts, and friendly crew. If you have any hardware/laptop/ computer related problems, do not hesitate to visit them.

They don't cut any corners, unless your design asks for that ofcourse. They do deliver against a small fee, but since they are just in my neighbourhood I email my files to them and when I pick them up I don't need to wait anymore. If you are a regular they are very flexible. You can ask them to print things quicker, cheaper and they are flexible with when you pay. Any requests they will try to accommodate and always with a smile. Just call or email them first, because the smell inside the printing shop can make you dizzy so you want to spend at little time as possible there.

They can do your logos, letterheads, IDs, whatever the hell you need to look even more pro in the business world. I haven't exactly tried (or thought about purchasing) those packages though. They can cost a lot for a starting business owner after all. But I did try printing my own digital paintings there. Sometimes, there are problems with the printer calibration, but they do allow printing a sample first so you can request adjustments. They also do photo printing and business card printing (which includes the cutting service already) for a decent price. That is why since college, or for a decade now, I still go to Alva Computer and Photocopy Services for my printing and photocopying needs. They may not be the shop that offers the cheapest rate for these services in the Taft Avenue and Vito Cruz areas, but the quality of their finished product makes all the difference. Their "powder xerox" (at Php .60 per page) is of already of print quality (there's none of the usual grey and black smudges on the paper). What's more, they use good quality (read: thick) paper, not those flimsy coupon bonds used by other photocopiers. When you're on a budget and need multiple copies of a document that have to look like the original, just have them print one set and photocopy the rest. It's cheaper that way, and the difference in quality is not that noticeable. Black and white printing would cost you Php 2 per page, more than the usual "piso print", but again, quality spells the difference. Colored printing starts at Php 5, cheaper than in other shops. Aside from printing and photocopying services, the Estrada Branch also offers ID picture-taking and printing, colored photocopying, and poster printing. The shop also doubles as an Internet cafe.

I've been going to them for a good two years for all my events and they've given me a good quality output every time. I remain loyal to them because of my first experience with them. I was joining my first bazaar and I needed to do rush printing of my tarp with product pricing. I sent them the file but they were not very happy with the images and the layout so they really spent about an hour helping me fix it - and they did it for free! About an hour or so later, they printed my tarp and it was ready. They even sold me an x-stand so my 5-foot tarp would say secure in the background. They do work on a lot of other tarps, but I often get my stuff either within the day or early the next day. I also noticed that the print quality is really good and there's no weird smell. I've tried other large format printers before discovering them and I often have problems with the way the tarp smells for the first few hours. I've never had that problem with them. Plus, the people who work there are really nice. They will always be my main supplier for tarps.

So... I've printed EVERYTHING here back when I was in college. Well, mostly everything. I only head to other printers when their store gets packed during finals. They're fast, reliable, and the quality of their printing has never failed me, especially the colour quality. Post-college, they're still my first choice for printing services for my client work. That is, if I actually have time to head all the way to Manila. Aside from the usual prints, I really love their mounted prints. i actually don't know of any printers who provide these. If you're in need of quick wall decor, take your artwork/snap up a photo, and have it embossed mounted on sintra board (it's really inexpensive), and hang it on your wall in an hour or two.

True, printing presses are a dime a dozen these days and they can certainly print these products without any hitch, but the problem with those is that they usually require that you print a minimum 1,000 copies (or else, they charge a monumental fee for a few copies only). Dexact will print a single copy of a magazine (as they did so for my sister for her school project), 50 copies of business cards, five copies of a poster...you get the drift. Quality wise, they win over the regular print shops, hands down. Their digital prints are highly color accurate, and they can do added effects that only the printing presses usually deliver like precision die-cutting, mounting, binding, etc. You can also choose from various specialty papers, so no need to be confined to just bond paper. Don't make the mistake of going there during Finals Week of Benilde's School of Design and Arts students, though. The place will be PACKED! Space is limited in the stop, and the printing queue can get frustrating, especially if you need a rush job. Best to call ahead to see how busy they are. Drop off your project. Then come back after an hour or two or at the end of the day.
