Very unprofessional and disappointing. If you have Medicare or Medicaid as a secondary insurance they will not take you. When I called to make my appointment they did not let me know this but I swear that they did. I drove an hour and a half and she would not see me. Also, they practice pseudoscience. The receptionist was also rude. She didn't do her job and should have vetted me when I made the appointment. She claims she did, which is a lie because she would have canceled my appointment. Unreal. Our medical community is a comedy of errors and embarrassment. I have Aetna and have never had a problem with any doctor taking me. They just filed a claim under Aetna. There is no law stating that a doctor cannot take you if Medicaid or Medicare are secondary. read more

I am still sitting here in shock. My chiropractor recommended this practice, I was aware they do not accept Medicare but wanted to pay out of pocket for services. I called today and a very rude receptionist answered the phone. At first I thought maybe she was having a bad day. I asked some questions and told her I would pay out of pocket. She rudely told me they could not accept that and would not allow me services because I have Medicare even if I pay out of pocket. I said on your website it says accepting new patients and Medicare is listed. She said they have to update the website. Ok, I accept that but then she hung up on me. I called back and said I was shocked she did that and once again a hang up. I really don't understand this kind of behavior having been in sales and customer service my whole life. What in the world! Also amazing) is exactly what you did and didn't realize you should demand from a medical facility. Here is what you will get every time... -lots of time with the doc... Who listens. If your story is 30 minutes she gives you 30 minutes of honest and critical listening -stunning array of specialties. She lives and breathes medicine... And knows her stuff so well it will make you wonder if she ever sleeps -imagine getting a physical, and getting a customized report written by her along with her calling you to discuss... Yeah that happens. -balance of medicine strategies... Traditional medicine mixed with eastern medicine... These docs would never over prescribe or just throw pills to fix stuff. -she knows medicines really really well... What antibiotics are for what... When to take when not to take. So overall... We can say we found that gold gem of a doctor... 40 years and we finally found exactly what makes an overall perfect balance of medicine expertise and compassion and flexibility in treatment. Add to that the facility has gentle music and water fountains throughout, we feel so lucky to live so close so this place can be our place to stay healthy. The only thing you need to know is that you could will be there a while... She does not 'time limit' patients so if it takes a long time so be it. That is a good thing! read more

Doesn't take old people. Told no new patients once I was given my DOB. Next day husband called with fake DOB. no problem getting appointment. Reported to Cigna and they said age discrimination. Clinic said we don't want people who are going on Medicare. Even though website says they take Medicare. Taking new patients as long as you're not old. read more

My family and I have been seeing CJ for a few months now. The office is run out of an old house in downtown Erie. Do not let this throw you off. All of the doctors take a great deal of time in talking with you and evaluating you in terms of overall health. You aren't just in there to get a specific issue treated. Stay away if you aren't just having a check-up. I have never been made so sick by a doctor's prescription of Sulfa antibiotics. Her on-call doctor AND my Emergency room doctor (where I had to go after seeing Oberbeck in the morning) both said 'why were you prescribed a Sulfa antibiotic,' and "that seems an odd choice." I had a life-threatening response to this antibiotic, went back to Oberbeck because of the reaction and left with only her instructions to "flush, flush, flush" the drug out with water. She could have given me steroids to calm the reaction and make my discomfort much less, but I had to go to the emergency room for roughly $2600 that night to get that relief. My face was so swollen I started to have a problem seeing. My entire body flushed red. I recommended Dr. Gloria for two years, as her patient. Never again! read more

I missed my new patient appointment, my bad- I had not loaded her phone number because I have a million things going on...however, I called in to apologize and check on the date, and reschedule...I was told "NO you no called no showed and we will not reschedule you" Well, unfortunately everyone that works with me IN A CLINIC....has heard about this now and everyone is astounded that you can't make one mistake with her office! or you get the boot forever!! So...not a very friendly practice...good thing there are plenty of docs out there!!! Moving on..... I may just stay with the one I have...I was only moving at a recommendation and this doc was closer to my new home. read more

My husband and I were looking for a doctor close to home and came in for physicals with a PA. Everyone was really friendly and the PA was knowledgeable and had wonderful bedside manner. We appreciated how thorough the physicals were. We were both called the following week and asked to schedule appointments for follow-up blood draws. I made my appointment for 4:30pm. I teach in Southwest Denver and have young children I had to pick up from school. I left work just after 3:00pm to ensure I could arrive on time. Unfortunately Friday traffic on I-25 is unpredictable and was awful today. I called the office 30 minutes before my appointment to let them know I was running about 10 minutes late. I explained my situation with traffic and that I was doing my best to get there. I was told being 10 minutes late meant I had to reschedule the appointment. I feel like if you put patients first, you are willing to wait 10 minutes for a blood draw that would take less than a minute to complete. My husband and I will be finding a doctor's office who puts patients first. I understand not being able to wait 20 or 30 minutes, but 10 minutes? Especially when I was asked to come back this week. It must have been important if I was asked to come back this week, but not important enough for someone in the office to wait 10 minutes. read more

I went to her after a family referral because my dr At the Longmont clinic became to rushed to actually treat me correctly. The staff are amazing, kind and wonderful. With a few visits she was able the narrow things down and help my issues in a major way. I am very grateful to have found this women!! I love Dr. Gloria. My family has been with her for 7 years. I was driving an hour each way after a move to maintain the relationship. Sometime in the last 2-3 years, her staff changed to include at least one nasty receptionist. This person is outright rude, snippy and bossy to the patients - those who ultimately pay her salary - with each and every interaction. The last time I was in, I alerted Dr. Gloria to her behavior and the receptionist retaliated by messing up my billing. Six months later, I discovered a bill was sent to collections. I've never, in over 40 years, not paid a bill as soon as it came in. I'm done dealing with this hostile and now criminal behavior and I will be finding a different family doctor. read more
