After telling Dr Brown that I had had a 102 degree fever and couldn't get out of bed for two days,…read moreshe examined me and told me I had had a virus but was fine now and could proceed to travel on the weekend. The next day my husband was sick, went to a hospital for tests and had covid. He got it from me. I was tested the following day, and had covid. Luckily I didn't follow this doctor's directive.

Dr Browne has been honored on several occasions as an especially fine internist in Boulder. I agree…read morewith this assessment. When I began going to her practice early in 2006, I had a real horror of doctors' offices. My anxiety level would go through the roof when making an appointment and, as for actual exams, well, you know... About the latter I will say only that even in the most thorough exams, she is gentle. It is possible to be handled as if one is just another piece of human meat, so I appreciate that nothing in my experience with Dr Browne or other physicians in her practice is remotely like that. What impressed me first about Dr Browne is her cheerful, down-to-earth demeanor. This is not a physician who deigns to see you at her convenience. Rather, she is warm, welcoming, and tends to run awfully close to ON TIME. And yet I have never felt rushed by her. Go figure. In the past four years, I've had several matters that required tending by her and I have a chronic condition for which I see a couple of specialists. She is knowledgeable, up-to-date, diligent about research when needed, and she seems to play nicely with other physicians in terms of sharing information and paying attention to what she receives from them. It reassures me that she is both experienced and up-to-date; those qualities are sometimes mutually exclusive. One last, crucial point about Dr Browne. She is a listener. She does not interrupt and she does not have one eye on the door. She pays attention and she takes notes and she remembers things, or at least later is able to refer to notes that are obviously thorough. In my experiences with the office staff and P.A., they have seemed competent, efficient, and friendly. From my knowledge of Dr Browne's way of practicing as an internist, she deserves every accolade she has ever received.

A patient off and on for the last 17 years. Over the last year the level of care and office staff…read morehave decreased significantly. I had to go in due to being very ill earlier this year. The NP forgot to prescribe the steroids I needed. I called the next day with major breathing issues and they refused to call in the forgotten prescription. I had to go in again and Dr. Mondrow decided I did not need steroids, but needed a specialist instead. Off I went to the specialist - who's only action was to prescribe steroids. Total cost of add'l appointments and specialist - almost $1000. They also ordered X-Rays ($450) yet never bothered to call me with results. I needed a refill on the antibiotics and the portal messages went unanswered. I had to go in, again, for another appt just to get a refill. Cost - $90. Annual visit - they somehow managed to figure out a way to charge me another $47 for a physical. Their reason - you asked a follow up question related to your illness (noted above). A question - really? I had to ask because, once again, the three emails to the provider went unaddressed in the portal and the phone call never got the promised follow up. The practice has never requested my previous medical records despite me submitting paperwork multiple times. When I ask directly I am told they will look into it and call me back. That was April - I am still waiting in September for a call back. This practice no longer has any concept of patient care. The only thing they care about is how to squeeze as much money as possible out of patients, and threaten with collections when asked as to why a single question triggers a bill. Up until this year I had been very happy with the care received. Whether it is the NP, the doctor or the office staff I am unsure. What I am sure about is I will be finding a new provider.

I saw Dr. Hutchinson, she spent all of her time with her face in her laptop. When I tried to ask her a question she told me not to interrupt her she was ordering tests (?) for me. Then, when she was going to do a breast exam on me she couldn't find a gown, I said that was OK. So, I turned around to take my top off, and she does the exam and then she left the exam room, with her laptop of course, and left the door open!! She kept coming and going in and out of the exam room, with her "sacred" laptop in her arms (um, I was bare-breasted WTF was I going to do with it??) leaving the door wide open!! I had no idea if I was supposed to wait there or not? Finally, I got up off of the exam table and got dressed, and sat there and waited for her for several minutes. And several more minutes. And then several more. Then some assistant comes in the room and says "this is your referral for the blood test." I said "What happened to Dr. Hutchinson? I have been sitting here for at least 20 minutes waiting for her." The assistant said to me "Oh, she had to make an emergency call to the radiology dept at the hospital." I said "Take a call or make a call?" She said "Make a call." I said "You have GOT to be kidding me. She couldn't say goodbye, nice to meet you, welcome to the practice before she picked up that receiver to 'make' that emergency call? You can take that referral and..." So, yeah, that was MY experience at Spruce Street Internal Medicine!!!

I get there 15 minutes before my appointment, as requested, which was at 11:30, after weigh in and nurse checking vitals we waited 45 minutes! Dr Hutchinson was not prepared, had not read the report from the hospital and spent most of the time either with her nose in the keyboard typing or talking directly to my husband. Nor did she listen to my lungs and heart, which definitely is a standard process in my case! A complete waste of time

Dr. Hall is one of the rudest people I've ever met and I will never go back there. It's no wonder I got in quickly when I needed an appointment; the office is empty and no one goes back for a second appointment. Not sure why this lady decided to be a doctor. She has zero compassion and her attitude is like she wishes she could be anywhere else but talking to her patients. I felt like she wasn't really listening to me, though she did take a significant amount of time during my appointment to complain about President Trump. She wanted me to know she is so anti-Trump that she goes to protests and Indivisible meetings, and here I thought I was going to Dr. Lisabeth Hall to get some medical advice. Who knew she was a political expert, too? This appointment was all about Dr. Hall, and I'm not sure why I was charged for it. I question whether she knows what she's doing - maybe it was a stalling method to hide her lack of knowledge. Save yourself some time and find a doctor who can give you the attention you deserve, because who needs another narcissist. I hope Boulder Community Health will look into this because I doubt I'm the first patient to hear about her political beliefs. Totally inappropriate. You should see her ratings on other sites...I wish I'd seen those before making an appointment.
