This place has grown a bit since my last visit a couple of years ago, with a whole lot of new shops…read moreand eateries to keep you occupied while you wait for your flight. The last time I was here I remember there being about two places to eat once you got through security, but now there is the standard 'Duty-free' area, bars and restaurants that you would expect. I also loved the (non-smoking) roof terrace - something that you don't see very often at airports these days with increased security worries. A nice place to get some fresh air on a sunny day. Parking is still a nightmare here, even if you're just picking someone up. You see lots of 'alternative' parking areas on the way to the airport, from pubs and farms down to individual houses with large driveways offering long-term parking facilities, and if anyone is coming to pick you up, they often lurk outside the airport and just swoop in to get you when you call them. Transport to and from the city centre is pretty straightforward on the 'Bristol Flyer' bus, which costs £7 single.

NOPE…read more Honestly shocked by how expensive Bristol Airport has become. We were charged £8.50 just to drop someone off and we were there for under 2 minutes. No grace period, no short-stay option, just an automatic fee the second you enter. It feels less like traffic management and more like a penalty for saying goodbye. Then inside the terminal, a beer at the Cabin Bar was £8.29. I expect airport prices to be higher, but that's pushing into ridiculous territory. Between the drop-off charge and drink prices, it feels like you're being squeezed at every step. I understand airports need revenue, but this leaves a pretty sour impression and makes the experience feel exploitative rather than welcoming. I'll be looking for workarounds next time and warning friends to do the same..

You have a choice of covered or un-covered parking Its very easy to find & there are pdf instructions on the website whether your comimg from north or south of the airport I think the bloke that runs it is called Roger - Really nice guy, you just give him a ring when you arrive & have your baggage and he is usually there waiting for you by the time you get to the drop off/pick up car park Excellent place which i would have no qualms in recommending

I said , oh .the one that pulled up a minute ago. Across the car park I hadnt been able to to see the small sign on the bonnet, which was hidden by the car in front. So I get on board as the driver wasnt in the cab, she then appeared and asked for my suitcase to put it in the trailer, so I handed it to her. She then reappeared in the doorway waving my booking sheet and saying I had put the wrong time for return flight. I said oh, I, m surprised that being an airport parking service, they would have kept themselves informed of flight times, as they are prone to change, but OK I dont want to discuss it further. She kept on and on with this kind of weird smile on her face, then got on with her job. Arriving at the farm, she just stuck out her hand with my car keys in, and moved away, I followed her to the trailer where she made me wait for my suitcase while she handed them out to another person who came after me. I didnt want to speak to her, when she did eventually give me the suitcase, which was rude of me, but I really had had quite enough of her by then. I turned to go, and heard her say a big loud sarcastic THANK YOU. I ignored it and went to find my car, there being no signs or instructions. Found it and loded case, put hatchback down and nearly hit a little girl on the head, the cars were packed together on the cow yard, with no one marshalling. It was really like Fawlty Towers, rude abrasive and defensive staff, providing the worst off site parking I have ever experienced. Dangerous too, and the access road is a little muddy poorly surfaced country lane. In the minibus, there was a sign asking for feedback which I left 3 days ago, no reply yet. UTTER SHAMBLES, STICK TO FARMING, I WOULD RECOMMEND TO AVOID AVOID AVOID
