Mask requirement in the warming huts but otherwise bring them just to keep warm while walking the 3miles. There is a shorter path option but you don't want miss out on all the glorious displays. The beverage house has hot and cold drinks available and snacks that include kettle corn and roasted nuts. Avoid the mad rush downtown and add this to your list of must see holiday displays!

The Denver Mile High Tree has been a holiday tradition since 2019, but it has led a somewhat…read morecheckered existence, starting on 16th Street and then moving to the DCPA Sculpture Park, Civic Center Park, and in 2025 to the Tivoli Quad on the Auraria Campus. The tree is 110 feet tall (higher than the Rockefeller Center tree and tallest in North America) with 60,000 LEDs and choreographed light and music shows. It's a free event, operating from late November to New Year's. One of the best aspects is the ability to walk inside the tree which is 39 feet in diameter at the base and accomodates quite a few people. You can lie on the grass and look up at the amazing images which is a surreal experience. The tree was a collaboration between Spain's ILMEX Illumination and Brut Deluxe studio. It is definitely worth a visit.

I ordered "ciders" and they didn't ask, but automatically gave us the expensive souvenir cups - be aware of that. They're significantly more expensive, but you can get discount refills. You can get a spiked cider by adding cinnamon whiskey, Baileys, or peppermint schnapps. The pretzels were good, but know they don't have mustard. Only $3 cups of cheese. The lights are well done, plenty to look at. There were animal exhibits to see as well - we were able to see elephants and giraffes as well as the tropical pyramid experience - which was hot and humid. (I had to leave that early due to my thermals on under my clothes.) The workers were smiling and mostly friendly. We spent about 1.5 hours there and everyone had a great time. The ground is a little uneven in spots, which can be challenging to navigate while in the dark if you have mobility issues - bring folks to lean on! Overall a nice experience. Recommend!

Despite the freezing temperature of 25 degrees, we were bundled up so the cold didn't bother us. We were very impressed with the professional lightning wrapped all the way up trees and branches and brushes. Really enjoyed the glowing lanterns on buildings and trees. Some of the housing for the animals were open and we got to observe an elephant, 3 giraffes (one is pregnant!), and the reptile house. Everything was clean, smooth walkways, food vendors available during the walk, gift shop was inviting, lots of free parking spaces, and restrooms along the way. Signs were clear to keep us getting lost and everyone was orderly. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We were not rushed and we casually strolled around. I look forward to visiting the zoo for future events. Definitely a kid and adult friendly environment.

This year was my first time attending the RMSHC specialty, and it was held at the Al Lesser building. The grounds themselves were clean and beautiful. There was construction going on as well, but we never had an issue getting to our show site. The building was spacious, and there was even a microwave for me to reheat leftovers. Chairs were provided, and were quite comfy. Parking was plentiful, and there was a gorgeous lake for those who wished to take their dogs on a nice scenic walk. There were plenty of spots for photo ops as well! At the end of our specialty weekend, we made sure to pick up after ourselves and swept the whole building clean. As those involved in the longevity/breed preservation of well-bred purebred dogs, we were conscientious to present our best foot forward and leave no room for complaints. This was honestly such a wonderful venue, and I liked it much better than some of the fairgrounds that I've shown at in my home state of CA. I did hear that they would be raising their rates for renting the building, unfortunately, which is happening across so many venues these days. Hopefully we can return to show here again in 2028, but we shall have to wait and see.

What was off to me so that the pieces were not named and didn't have a blurb about their background which I've seen at other fairs. It's nice to have a little background to what inspired the artist. The larger exhibit room with 4H didn't open until noon, despite the website's posting of 10 am. The other exhibit hall had some exhibitors like a local bee club but several of those exhibits were unstaffed like the disaster response table. The bee club was hopping and interesting. Food wasn't really available, maybe one place. Customer service booth wasn't staffed at 11:30 a.m. when we left. Plenty of parking. Website said we had to pay but we didn't but maybe we were really early.

I dragged my girlfriend to the Arts Festival on Sunday, midmorning. It was warm, but not scorching,…read moreand the crowd was manageable, but not overwhelming. This year (2026) is the 35th anniversary of the show and there were 265 participating artists. Going to 265 booths is a marathon, particularly on a hot day, but we were energized by the quality of the work and made it to every single location. Major categories on display included ceramics, digital art, drawing, fiber, glass, jewelry, metalwork, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and wood. Five early-career artists received grants to further their practice and were included in the show. The displays mostly ran down 2nd Avenue in Cherry Creek North from Clayton to Adams with branches going up to 3rd Avenue along Detroit, St. Paul, and Steele (down to 1st Avenue also). We gamely marched the 20 blocks this entailed, alrhough my girlfriend got a little wobbly by the time we made it back to 2nd and Clayton. I parked her in a shady spot and went to retrieve the car and collect her. Despite being tired out by the scope of the show, we were both glad we went. The quality of the art was very high and many displays were quite impressive.

The Cherry Creek Arts Festival is a juried art show with many media being represented…read more We arrived shortly before the show officially opened at 10 AM. It was already crowded with art lovers. The crowds made it somewhat difficult to see the various booths. The artists are friendly and will talk to you about their techniques and inspirations. We saw some familiar as well as new emerging artists. Porta potties and food courts are available. There is also a children's art area to keep the young tykes busy. Food, beverages and stores are also in the area when you need a break. There are plenty of benches for a rest. The show is absolutely free to enter. The amount of people decreased as the day wore on. The streets are closed to automobile traffic. You will find many different lots to park in with a fee.

Avery, Breck, Wits end, boulder brew, the list goes on (3 tents full). Some of the standouts - a Colorado Cider Company Lemon Grass cider . . .Paradox brewing barrel aged sour AND IPA. This event has one more day, score a ticket and go. Its fun. . .though get a designated driver . . .

Plenty of room to move and hang out with friends. Parking was easy, bathrooms were never a problem, and generally the clientele was well behaved! I also enjoyed the live music and various contests and raffles throughout the afternoon! In addition to three large tents full of beer, there were also a handful of tasty food trucks (pizza, tacos, ice cream, etc) to counter the liquid calories. I had purchased VIP tickets through LivingSocial, which was totally the way to go. VIP got you in an hour earlier and access to the distillery tent where they were pouring delicious local spirits, experimenting with some cocktail combinations, and also had a VIP-only BBQ tent that was handing out free samples. I really had a great time. I did not grow up in corn maze culture and this was the first time I…read morefully committed to going all the way in to one (instead of just photo opping near the entrance)! I gave myself lots of time. It was super hot in the sun - bring a hat with a big visor!! At this time of year this year the corn was all pretty dried out - very fall feeling. I went on a weekend day - a Saturday - so yah there were plenty of families and such. I just randomly wandered the corn maze running into the occasional child or parent but or teen group, but I found it very nice to just wander until I got out! It took about an hour. No stress and it actually felt positive that there were lots of other people in the maze at the same time. Less scary. They had a mini corn maze and a "crazy" corn maze so I chose the crazy one since I was trying to be brave. If you feel less brave, try the mini one! Next year I might try their night time corn maze! I love how they curated the pumpkin area! Pumpkins galore everywhere and organized by their gorgeous colors. So pretty and seriously so many like WOW! It was visually really nice. Lots of great creative photo op areas were nicely set up. Lots of kid activities of course. If you're a lone adult like me you're probably gonna do - corn maze, food truck, shopping. I like that they partnered with Palomar Farms to have some farmers market goodies. I did seem some unique jarred delights. I walked away with FROG jam and rhubarb jam! Next year I will try to go earlier in the season when the corn maze is maybe still a little bit green to see what that's like. I liked their modern branding and curated vibe. The corn maze staff was also super friendly and understood my anxiety. I also loved that the activities were a la carte. I paid for the corn maze which was under $20 and my jarred market delights which were $8.99 each. Parking was free. Okay I'm stating that cause I'm from LA. It's still a relief when parking is free here!

The outside is unassuming and the interior seems kind of small (ba dum tish) but Neil welcomed us and helped us to see the beauty in the details. I went with my husband and teenager, and even the teen found things to love.
