We thought maybe google was wrong but it was trying to get us to the open location. Midday and the first location we found was closed. My wife had heard of this place and as she doesn't really request many things to do or go too we made it a point to check it out. It is small but full of stuff, dresses, jewelry, purses, Halloween costumes! They had some great earrings and she got quite a few as well as a purse that looks like a tape deck radio/Boombox. She tried on a few dresses but couldn't quite find one she liked, but was excited they had dresses in all shapes, styles, and sizes! This close to Halloween and with the Halloween parade either that day or the next the Halloween costumes left were few but still some good ones. They had two dressing rooms, but there was storage in one of them so if the store needed something while you were in that dressing room you had to get dressed fast and let them through as soon as you could. It was fun and full of character, some earrings she found look like goldfish in a bag of water, Some cool skeleton hands to go with her Pharmacy Museum shirt, as well as some skulls and a few others. There was a sale of buy one get half off second. She finally told me I had to make her leave or she would spend all the money. To quote her: Shana: "My thoughts? I LOVED IT!"

This place was an absolute treasure trove of beautiful clothing and accessories. Y'all, this is not your average "Talbot's from the 90's" stock that many "vintage" stores contain (and yes I understand that 90's qualifies as vintage these days!) This is the place to go for a show-stopping special occasion dress from the 1940s, with intact jeweled buttons and a peplum detail at the waist. Or a flowing silk robe from the 1920s with a bold print of fans and florals. Or a beautifully carved sweater clip to accompany the fur-collared cashmere from 1950s. You get the picture! Now, this shop will have a higher price point than your average dig-through-the-rack vintage, because literally every piece is a gem. That said, the pricing is incredibly fair for what you are purchasing! I will treasure the pieces I bought from my visit last weekend, and can't wait to return! I also want to add that the shop employee Kim was just top notch! She was knowledgeable of each item and a joy to talk to. This place is a MUST VISIT for any vintage lover!!

Some of the retro furniture's consisted of old school arcade games, cooler, pull out drawers, etc. As we went around the store and looked at the tags, we realized we weren't at your average thrift store, but instead it became apparent that we were in a more retro and vintage novelties store. There were several really fun pieces that I would've loved to taken home with me, but it wasn't in my budget for this trip. Lot's of cool nostalgic pieces for sure! No one was there, despite the signage and the website saying the store should be open. I called the number on the website and a different number on the front door asking when their hours were. Didn't hear back. Okay, fine. I sent them an email. Never heard back. I went back to the store the following Sunday. They're closed despite the signage, again. So finally on May 16th I bring the dress down there a third time, on a Saturday this time, and they're open. They explained that they don't usually do returns, but that they'd allow me to make a return this time, in exchange for a gift certificate, but it would take a few days to process. They wrote down my email, phone number, physical address, and said they would get back to me by the following Tuesday at the latest. I also left the dress with them, which now I see was a stupid move. It's June 2nd! I've called them! I've emailed them! I've physically gone down there, and they were, surprise, closed when they said they would be open! They have obviously not responded to anything. So: I don't have a dress. They have my $200. They're not returning my calls. What am I supposed to think, here? I'm obviously never buying anything from them again, and I strongly suggest you don't either.

While waiting, I observed an employee preparing food, making smoothies, handling cash transactions, and then returning to food preparation while wearing the same pair of gloves throughout the process. Because I had noticed this behavior on previous visits, I decided to ask about it. I asked whether the gloves were intended to protect customers from germs or protect the employee. The employee responded, "We have a lot of gloves. I just didn't have a chance to change them." That response was concerning. Cash is handled by countless people and can carry dirt, bacteria, and other contaminants. Seeing the same gloves used for food preparation and cash handling defeats the purpose of wearing gloves in the first place. What concerns me most is that this did not appear to be a one-time oversight. I have observed similar practices on multiple visits, which suggests it may be a routine habit rather than an isolated incident. Costco may have food safety policies in place, but policies are only effective when they are consistently followed. Based on what I have repeatedly observed, I am no longer comfortable purchasing food from this location's outdoor food court. I hope management reviews food handling procedures and ensures that proper glove-changing and sanitation practices are consistently followed to protect customers.

During my visit, there was a surprising amount of manpower wasted just directing customers to different lines, instead of actually moving people through checkout. Employees were repeatedly telling shoppers where to go, which line to switch to, or where to stand, yet the lines still moved slowly and felt disorganized. It created more confusion than efficiency. If they turn the front aisle vertical to the cashiers the problems could be eliminated and the workers could be used wiser. Costco is usually a masterclass in logistics, so this was disappointing. With better flow or clearer lane management, the same staff could be helping customers check out faster rather than acting as traffic controllers. Costco is still good value but the checkout experience here takes away from what should be a smooth, high-volume operation.

Angie always could help me out in a pinch and her cleaners are super fast but very thorough (the benefit of having a team of cleaners rather than one person of course). I used her services sporadically throughout the past three years and she always came through for me, even tried her best when she was completely booked. This is crucial when you are relying on income from a STR and need last minute reservations when they come through. When my friend gave her notice this past spring, I actually felt like it was going to be ok, because I had a company that had proven themselves to be dependable and loyal to their customers. I'm tired of shops that are cash only.... you are a buisness, no? At the very least update your Yelp listing to say that you don't accept credit cards. In case you couldn't tell Glue Clothing Exchange is cash only. I walked in and the smell of inscence was so strong my eyes started to burn and I felt sick by the time I walked out. This place is really hard to shop in with it's over stuffed racks and narrow isles. In my early thrifitng days I might have been thrilled at this place- tons and tons of polyester old man pants and shirts.... The woman working had her child there, and I wouldn't be bothered by this, execpt the kid was screaming and running around. I actually think it's cool that she can have her child at work it seemed unprofessional and didn't make for a great shopping atmosphere. I gave this place one star because as soon as I walked in I was greeted and then left alone to shop. The other star is just because it's not so terrible and the other because I love it when thrift shops have sales and they had a 50% off everthing sale. Regular Prices seemed a little high, but then all thrift shops here are... I probably won't make a point of returning to Glue Anytime soon, which is dissaponting because I'd love another excuse to frequent Oak Street read more

This place is amazing! I read some of the reviews on this store and I 100% think they have it wrong. I believe that the store has been targeted by Trolls or crazy jealous people! lol. The owners are the sweetest people on the Planet. All I can gather from other reviews is that people may have been asked to leave there food or drink on the counter which I understand because there is no explanation about why someone would dis these laid back folks. (I have seen people get upset at them for asking them to leave their drinks on the counter.) I have been shopping there for over 2 years. They do trade ins on your clothing and give 50% trade in for clothes they except. I Love That! There are so many concert t-shirts and pearl snap cowboy shirts. Wow! It is hard to find great mens vintage clothes. This place has them. There was maybe over 100 western snap button shirts! At least 500 plus or more long sleeve and short sleeve 60's and 70's floral prints, paisley, hippie fashion you name it. Total rockstar looking stuff. I bought several gems. The couple work there are very nice and done to earth. The store is like walking into the past. You just have to see it. Posters and mardi gras stuff everywhere I mean this place is totally hip. Amazing Clothes at an affordable price. Better than what you spend in the City on Magazine St. or in the Quarter. Their concert t-shirts are probably close to 200 plus in stock! Country to Classic rock artists! My girlfriend found a couple cute dresses while I looked at guitars and bought a Led Zeppelin t shirt and bought Ernie Ball guitar strings for 5 bucks. The staff is usually pretty helpful though not always the most enthusiastic. However, I understand everyone has rough days.
