We always come here after hiking Bogue Chitto to get a Walnut Milkshake. It's so good, just the perfect treat!! We usually get fries or something else too which are always good. There are always tables available and the service is friendly. I only wish they had outdoor seating so we could sit with the dogs. read more

One burger was correct, and I am told it was excellent. My burger, however, was completely wrong. We ordered a Glynn's Special Burger, with no mustard or ketchup, just mayo. Walked in and there was a weird smell to place. Not too unpleasant but maybe due to older building I ordered the BBQ wings and they onion rings. The wings were spicy hot which i did not order. The onions rings tasted freezer burnt. I may try this place again but not order the same food. read more

Got the combo shrimp and fish plate. The fries weren't cooked all the way through and neither were the shrimp. The shrimp batter was still doughy. The fish were soggy. Hubby got the shrimp and oyster and said the oysters were the same as the shrimp... doughy half cooked breading. The food here is not too bad, but the restaurant needs to be cleaned better. I enjoy a burger and fries from here occasionally but I only ate in once because it's not kept up very well. It smelt of old mop & stale grease to me. The lil lady cleaning was sweeping with a regular broom as we were eating. I watched her clean table tops with the same wet cloth without rinsing or changing the cloth OR spraying disinfectant on the surfaces. Yes they have great prices! read more

I asked to be sure that I wasn't given chili by mistake, but it was confirmed that I had gravy with meat in it. I really enjoyed my lunch here. I was on a road trip back from Mississippi and the food in that state was quite disappointing. Then when we were coming back to New Orleans, we find this stand alone drive-in. We thought we would give it a shot. The menu is quite extensive with different poboy options. I ordered the oyster poboy and my husband ordered the ham and cheese. It was fresh ingredients and simple, and tasted so good. Worker behind counter very rude when walked in because he decided to close early without any signs. Had a attitude saying well everything is off. I've worked in the service industry for years. If you walk in at any point even if it was 7:50 pm and you close at 8 pm you serve people until your hours of business listed not until you decide you are finished. We ate here twice while staying at Bogue Chitto State Park. Both times we were very pleased. We stopped for lunch the first day after visiting Global Wildlife. The special was roast beef Po boys. The roast beef wasn't deli meat, but had been cooked by the lady who took our order. A half poboy is huge! A small order of fries is huge! it was the best roast beef Po boy I ever had. Later in the week, we went back for burgers and milkshakes. Delicious! The people working there are so friendly, the dining area is large so you are not cramped up next to someone else.
