food was some of best i have had very fresh salads…read moreexcellently prepared grilled, blackened catfish, lambchops and seafood gumbo, no pork in any of dishes (chef/owner is muslim) but his well prepared substitutes make up for it...the chef visits you and the server, Angie, was very attentive. the outside appearance is plain but it hides a very friendly pleasant atmosphere that makes the dining a wonderful experience. if you are ever near bogalusa i highly reccomend you stop amd try them at 545 S. Well, My wife and I were searching for a change from the…read moreusual suspects of Bogalusa when she suggested we try Na' Bogues. She had recently remembered they opened and we are always looking to try the new spots. We decided to just do takeout this evening as neither of us felt much like going out. After searching the menu we both decided on the Ebony Wings with the sweet bourbon sauce. She choose to do a side salad,I choose the bowl of seafood gumbo. We ordered, the Lady on phone was very welcoming and friendly and kindly took the order informed us it'd be 20mins,stated that if we drove up to front she'd gladly bring it out to us. I chose to go in when I got there to survey the new establishment and kind check the vibe, and Wow the restaurant is absolutely fantastic. Compared to the normal establishments in Bogalusa this is definitely top tier with the decor and seating. When we arrived back at the house and opened the boxes we were definitely surprised by the care took in the presentation of a to-go order. The wings tasted as good as they looked loved the sweet and spice! The Gumbo was good also better then average for sure also served with a slice of grilled bread which I enjoyed alot. My wife's side salad was awesome she said as most place don't put that many veggies in just a plain side salad, she was pleasantly surprised. So all this being said was definitely a good first experience for us. Look forward to going to dine in next time and trying more items on the menu. Great job

I had really high hopes for the oyster poboy, but it was honestly one of the worst I've had. The…read moreoysters tasted extremely fishy and not fresh at all. The breading was soggy, the bread was stale, and the whole sandwich just had an unpleasant smell and taste. I could barely finish a few bites before giving up. Definitely not worth the money. I should have known by the no refund policy at checkout.

So I've been to this place before and ordered a Burger from them and it was amazing! This time I…read moredecided to try something different and go for the seafood combo plate and unfortunately I was sadly disappointed. Upon arrival I was never acknowledged by the cashier which started the conversation with " what would you like to order?" Rather than some sort of a warm welcome, that those around the town have been accustomed to. Since this was after lunch, the ambience was pretty laid-back and there really wasn't anyone in the lobby area. So there was a lady in the lobby sweeping the floor. I really do appreciate the cleanliness of the place. When I ordered the seafood combo plate, I asked what I could get with it. The cashier proceeded to give me various types of combos and I chose to get the shrimp and oysters. I ask her about the size of the shrimp, and she proceeded to go into a freezer and pull out a bag of popcorn shrimp and another bag of oysters. This was highly disappointing. Being in southern Louisiana, which is known for its nice size shrimp, crabs, and other seafood. I thought I'd be getting some fresh batter fried shrimp and oysters. Instead, I ended up with some frozen rubbery shrimp and semi burnt oysters. What a disappointment this was! The french fries were also overcooked and quite rubbery which didn't help this experience. This goes to show you that although Glyn's driving is a good place to go to for hamburgers, seafood definitely is NOT one of their specialties. I also think it's pretty overpriced for what I received considered this is southern Louisiana. I paid approximately $14.00 for 6 popcorn shrimp and 6 oysters with French fries which were all out of a freezer bag. What happened to Glynn's quality of seafood? This place used to be the talk of the town as a part of the place to eat for seafood and hamburgers. Now I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one complaining about the quality of food I received. Especially the seafood. I would only recommend going here for the shakes, as well as the different variety of hamburgers. But by all means a highly encourage you to stay away from their overly priced misrepresentation of Louisiana seafood.

This was the absolute worst experience ever for my family and service animal, and I was met with…read moreimmediate hostility from the Asian lady and the on-shift manager. They were both clueless about ADA requirements as they pertain to service animals. The rude Asian lady told me I couldn't bring my service animal inside because customers wouldn't be comfortable. After explaining to her that my animal was, in fact, a service animal, she continued not to listen. The shift manager and I had a great conversation about the ADA requirements. He requested that I put a vest on my service animal, which is not required, and then asked me for paperwork, which is not required. I kindly directed him to ADA websites outlining the requirements for service animals. I compromised and put my animal's vest on him because the manager was extremely ignorant of the requirement. The Rude Asian lady attempted to put us in a back corner intentionally. She also stated that the ADA did not apply to that establishment. Our waitress said we had permission to move the table if we needed. The conversation was so tense that we paid afterward instead of before eating, and we would have eaten for free if we had been dishonest. The wait staff was absolutely top-notch, and I have no complaints about those lovely ladies. As for returning, I might indeed do so with my attorney. Recommendation: the Rude Asian Lady that works the front desk should be fired and has no place in such a nice community. When you're running a business, it's up to the staff to understand all rules and regulations that apply. The patron shouldn't have to teach those rules. Patrons with disabilities should not be treated poorly because other customers might be offended.
