We were out and about on a road trip and this was a nice spot to catch a drive-in meal while in Bogalusa. We ordered a poboy and their special burger with cheese. We noted the burger had a home made looking bun, and a hand formed burger patty that convinced my wife to polish it off, commenting that it was super. I had the fried oyster poboy, "short" and it was plenty to enjoy for the meal. While there we noted a large portion of the community picking up their called in orders, most masked up at the out-door window, (very thoughtful). I had really high hopes for the oyster poboy, but it was honestly one of the worst I've had. The oysters tasted extremely fishy and not fresh at all. The breading was soggy, the bread was stale, and the whole sandwich just had an unpleasant smell and taste. I could barely finish a few bites before giving up. Definitely not worth the money. So I've been to this place before and ordered a Burger from them and it was amazing! This time I decided to try something different and go for the seafood combo plate and unfortunately I was sadly disappointed. Upon arrival I was never acknowledged by the cashier which started the conversation with " what would you like to order?" Rather than some sort of a warm welcome, that those around the town have been accustomed to. Since this was after lunch, the ambience was pretty laid-back and there really wasn't anyone in the lobby area. So there was a lady in the lobby sweeping the floor. I really do appreciate the cleanliness of the place. When I ordered the seafood combo plate, I asked what I could get with it. The cashier proceeded to give me various types of combos and I chose to get the shrimp and oysters. I ask her about the size of the shrimp, and she proceeded to go into a freezer and pull out a bag of popcorn shrimp and another bag of oysters. This was highly disappointing. Being in southern Louisiana, which is known for its nice size shrimp, crabs, and other seafood. I thought I'd be getting some fresh batter fried shrimp and oysters. Instead, I ended up with some frozen rubbery shrimp and semi burnt oysters. What a disappointment this was! The french fries were also overcooked and quite rubbery which didn't help this experience. This goes to show you that although Glyn's driving is a good place to go to for hamburgers, seafood definitely is NOT one of their specialties. I also think it's pretty overpriced for what I received considered this is southern Louisiana. I paid approximately $14.00 for 6 popcorn shrimp and 6 oysters with French fries which were all out of a freezer bag. What happened to Glynn's quality of seafood? This place used to be the talk of the town as a part of the place to eat for seafood and hamburgers. Now I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one complaining about the quality of food I received. Especially the seafood. I would only recommend going here for the shakes, as well as the different variety of hamburgers. But by all means a highly encourage you to stay away from their overly priced misrepresentation of Louisiana seafood. read more

The food is always a hit and the customer service is top notch! Have been coming since I was a kid and never a complaint.

The most bland food I've ever tasted in my life. The fact that there are multiple of these somehow is a little insane to me.

Ordered a shrimp poboy, roast beef poboy, and fries with roast gravy and cheese. The roast on the fries wasn't the same as the poboy and didn't taste as good. The shrimp and the roast beef on the poboys was great. The major problem I had was how are you serving poboys in Louisiana and you don't have real poboy bread?! They sell it right down the street yet you got me in here eating this northern version of French bread. So sad. read more

I was doing laundry and wanted something to eat while I was waiting. I ordered the hamburger pore boy with everything on it. It's cooked fresh to order so be prepared to have to wait a couple of minutes. Everyone was Practicing social distancing. The kitchen looked very clean through the window. The outside was freshly painted. When I was served it was fresh and hot the veggies on it were cool and crisp. It was a very good hamburger I will be back. The dining area is now open. read more

Went to dine in and it was utter chaos to try to get a plain cheeseburger. Comes covered in mayo and dressings. They take it back to bring the burger back out low and behold they simply scraped the bun and slapped it back together with residual mayo still soaked into the bun and on the burger itself Went up and asked for a fresh burger without a mayo soaked bun and mayo still on the patty and took 45 mins to get it. This is while watching 6 other people having to ask for the right orders after paying as well. Clearly someone isn't writing down orders properly or they just don't care but this is it for us. We won't be back. When you go to eat both people should be able to sit and eat together, had to bring it home. They do not refund for any reason so I couldn't even just cancel it after the second attempt with clearly the same burger. Really disappointing. read more

This is definitely a place you want to go to. Glynn's is a hometown staple of the Bogalusa area with great poboys, burgers, hotdogs, salads and much more. Everything has that awesome "made with love" flavor. The staff is nice and the food comes quick . Love it!! read more

Coming from out of town on February 25th 2023 I stopped at Glynns drive in . Took forever to get waited on about 13 minutes to place order . I spoke slowly and clearly about my order . I ordered a Large Beef Po-Boy' and half BBQ beef Po-Boy and a large Hamburger Po-Boy 3 sweet teas . It took 35 mins to get order . Went to local Cassidy park with family to eat at one of the covered pavilion. Food was not hot . One Po-Boy' the large was BBQ beef which was wrong was to roast beef . Hamburger Po-Boy was undercooked meat was pink . All Po-Boy' bread was tuff and hard and all Po-Boy's were unfit to eat messy . Thru away everything including the sweet tea that was colored water . Total cost of the Meal was $39.25 . Went to Wendy's instead . Family said no more of Glynns drive in . On a scale of 1 to 5 with 5 being the best I give them a 1 horrible service horrible food and drinks read more

Just left there and went to Wendy's. I stood at the dining room window with my grandson for 3-5 minutes without so much as getting acknowledged we were there. Granted it was busy but not even a "be with you in a minute". read more

By far the best place to eat homemade food. Fresh burgers, poboys, salads etc. Food is affordable for families. It is THE place to eat in Bogalusa. The dining room has cool tables with some local history depicted on them. read more

Me and my Dad came in and ate On last Sunday. He had have shrimp Po boy and I had have roast beef Po boy extra mayonnaise and extra pickles. My roast beef barely fit the pool boy and it was like a centimeter thick. My dad said his was fun but it justcovered the bread. The onion rings were burnt and mushy but my dad went ahead and excepted him anyway and I didn't know it. I cannot chew hard things. The service was good. It was around 1 PM. They offered me today to replace my order but that really wasn't the point because I've had others tell me the same thing. But it is nice to get my food the way I wanted it and expected it. Pretty bad. The Poboy had very little meat, the bread was hard. The burger wasn't done, fries were soggy and cold. This place was pretty good but they seem like they are cutting corners to save money. The owners need to visit Bears in Covington to take a lesson in how to make poboys. No pride. read more

This is an order at the counter and they yell your name when your food is ready type of place. It was the lunch rush, so it was loud and I didn't hear them call my name. Sadly our food had cooled down. I had the Cheeseburger PoBoy. It had a good flavor to it, unfortunately the meat was dry. Two of my dining companions had a cheeseburger and fries. They said their food was alright. Somebody else had the Beef PoBoy. She said it was good and it had plenty of meat. Locals tell me the quality standards have gone down hill over the years. I was surprised to see such low reviews for this place, because my lunch was fantastic. I got the cheddar beef bbq burger. I figured this would be a burger with bbq sauce, but it was actually a burger with shredded bbq beef on top! You will need extra napkins and possibly even a fork for that burger. The service was average, although the lady behind the counter was sweet. They do charge 50 cents for refills, oh well. read more
