Worth every penny! I have no idea how the chef packs so much flavor into something as basic as rice or broccoli. But every single morsel has layers of flavor. Really outstanding! Service is always prompt and friendly. Acoustics aren't great in such a small room, I guess it can't be helped. My husband likes the lasagna and I return to the salmon every time (with the aforementioned rice and broccoli. You gotta taste it to understand how good both are.). The French onion soup is some of the best I've ever had. We brought our vegetarian daughter and were a little disappointed that there weren't more options for her. But what she did get she loved. I absolutely loved the Crawfish crepes! I'm going to recreate them for myself. The ribeye with the mushroom gravy I is the best I've had. I ordered the oysers as a app and I thought that they would have been perfect if I would have ordered them fried hard. so the next day I got a to go order of the oyster Caesar salad and ask for them to be fried hard. I cut them in half for the salad when I took a bite out of one of them it was so soft that I spit it out and it was clear like it was not cooked. Everything else was exceptional! We were camping nearby and chose Roux 25 to celebrate a birthday dinner. It's a small room with rustic decor, a dozen tables seating 2-6 and a lively bar area. The overall feel is upscale without the fuss. Servers were professional and attentive. We shared the Louie Salad and fried green tomato small plate - both excellent and shareable. We ordered the rib eye and pork chop. Both were good but not outstanding - chop was ordered medium and came well. We shared the apple streusel with an extra scoop of ice cream - wow! Next visit, we will order salads, small plates and dessert. This was a special occasion and the $100 per person price tag was worth the overall experience. read more

We had salads, appetizers, skirt steak with the cauliflower, and dessert. Salads could definitely be shared, but our entrees were right sized. Last time there the fries were over cooked like to a crisp rock with duck fat, and the other time there, the lamb was not good. Something was not right with the lamb and definitely upset the stomach. But the food is usually pretty decent. Service needs improvement like simple things such as putting a napkin under silverware. Ambiance is great. read more

Don't be fooled by the look of the building. It's a pre-engineered metal building like a auto parts store with black tinted double doors when you walk inside, it's one big room with horizontal planks, a bar to the right and a variety of seating arrangements. My wife met me there yesterday for drinks and appetizers. Half dozen fried oysters for 10 bucks is a steal. The Arancini was great. The crawfish crêpe was good. However, the crêpe was more like a pancake than a crêpe, and it was flat, not rolled, but it was good. Wine and old fashions were great. The service was excellent and prompt This is the third time I've been to Roux 25. While the Large plates part of the menu was limited, a fillet, three burgers and lasagna, the small plates side of the menu was filled with a lot of good choices. Outstanding!!!! Hidden gem! My new favorite restaurant on the Northshore. Very well defined flavor profiles. Everything was perfectly cooked and presented. Loved it! House salad was excellent, loved the creamy garlic dressing. The mussels appetizer was superb. My husband was slurping up the broth like soup. The pork steak was surprisingly tender and moist. We had reservations for 7 pm tonight and walked in the door at 7 and was promptly seated. The place is small and was full of customers at different stages of their meal. After waiting for 12 minutes I waived at the guy that seated us and asked if we could order drinks. He said yes while the bartender rolled his eyes and mouthed we're really busy. We did get our drinks and after ordering our entrees it was 80 minutes before we got our food. A couple next to us left after paying for their drinks and said they had waited 1.5 hours and still did not get their food. Refills were a little slow but they did fill our water glasses fairly well. Then the waiter informed us they were out of Coca Cola. Then he informed me that they were out of iced tea. When the food arrived the sea scallops I had were average at best, the lamb was ok, the the steaks were tender under cooked and lacked flavor. We were so underwhelmed with it all at this point. The owner came out and was very nice and said she was short staffed boh and foh, but offered nothing more. The bill was $190 for 5 meals and my friend left zero tip. Bad experience, and I hope they get it together fast. The neat menu and high prices do not equal what you get. I would never go back. The place is cute and noisy and would probably be a good place to go for a cocktail. Not many choices in Folsom but this place missed the mark by a long ways. read more

Upon recommendation from a friend, my wife and I enjoyed their Brunch offering today. She had their cornmeal waffle and chicken and I had Eggs Benedict with Lyonnaise potatoes. This cuisine is on the level as Oxlot in Covington but since it is smaller and not attached to a hotel...fewer menu offerings. The drinks, service and cuisine is OUTSTANDING. I've been to France many times and this is inspired cuisine folks. I am originally from Wisconsin so I know a thing or two about excellent beef. The steak I had today was perfectly executed.
