Deep fried soft shell crab - incredible!

Great place, great cocktails, and wonderful Chef! It is a fancy place with a down home feel and farm to table was very fresh!

Filet mignon with amazing dauphinoise potatoes.

Came for dinner at the bar- Katie, the bartender is amazing. She made me a pre dinner cocktail- And they're off- a delicious lemon-blueberry martini. Then I had fried oysters- which I scarfed down. Soooo good. That was followed by the filet- melt in your mouth tender. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful food and service.

    Skirt steak & cauliflower

The food is delicious, the service friendly and helpful with wine recommendations; and the unassuming building houses a wonderful dining experience. We had salads, appetizers, skirt steak with the cauliflower, and dessert. Salads could definitely be shared, but our entrees were right sized. Highly recommended for out-of- town guests like me, but it appears to be a popular local spot. Dinner is not served until 5, smaller menu before that time.

    Grilled yellow fin tuna!

Food and service were great!! The restaurant was on the smaller side but that didn't bother us at all. I was impressed with the experience.

Love this little gem. The roux burger is a must try. Duck fat fries are amazing and they have the best bar tender on the North shore.

It was too painful for me to not be driving here to get jalapeno cheese fries, a burger, and putting a dollar on the wall. But damn, this place has cured me of that sadness. I am disgusted that I had not been here sooner. We arrived during the lunch rush but were able to sit at a high top in the bar. The place is small so you may have to wait. It will be worth it. We started with some cheese curds. I cannot accurately convey how amazing these were. I have no idea what kind of cheese it was, what they did to make it so great, or how ranch added an additional wow. Trust me, get these. They are awesome. The burger, oh the burger. This is likely the best burger I have ever had in BR. If you are a burger fan, you must ad this one to your list. I haven't had every burger in BR but I have had a few. This one is the tops. Great patty, cooked perfectly to order, juicy, and super flavorful. Service was friendly but slightly slow which was likey due to the lunch rush. Parking is under the overpass and a little muddy at times. You will be fine. Come here. You won't be disappointed.

Entering through the tunnel you get the sense that you're stepping into a place you shouldn't really be and Sylvain seems to accentuate that with this secretive environment that feels almost like a cocktail lounge. The service was fantastic with the hostess seating us for our reservation right away and the waiter being incredibly patient and helpful during our dinner. We had someone in our party love the playlist here so much they asked the bartender for it as well. The menu is bold and complex but they were happy to strip it back to basics if needed. It was extremely cold in the restaurant though, so make sure to dress warm, especially in the colder months. We ordered their cast iron cornbread, chicken sandwich (no pickles or hot sauce), and their special of the night which was a pork-veal mix sausage on a milk bread bun and topped with sauerkraut. The cornbread was dry but the flavor was good. The butter they gave with it had cajun spices infused and gave it a nice zip although it was a bit too salty. Their fried chicken sandwich was delicious, light and crispy with salty shoestring fries that hit the mark. Lastly, their house special of the sausage was great. The sausage itself was well seasoned and the bun was soft and sweet. It was a bit salty with the added sauerkraut but the mix of flavors was still delicious. We also ordered a drink, just erotic not kinky, which was delicious. It's a bourbon with blackberry and lemon juice that was strong and refreshing at the same time. Sylvain is a culinary delight surrounded by an area that demands it. The food could be a tick better but it is still very, very good with fantastic service to bolster it. Whether you want a casual dinner or to drink cocktails in the French Quarter, this is a spot that is worth a look and your money, especially if you're with a big party.

The redfish was flaky, fresh, and beautifully seasoned with a proper blackened crust. It was absolutely drenched in a rich lemon butter sauce that tied everything together perfectly. The corn maque choux was creamy, flavorful, and comforting without overpowering the fish. Even the salad tasted fresh and balanced the richness of the entrée well. The restaurant was PACKED when I arrived around noon on a Tuesday, which I later learned was likely because they were serving birria tacos that day. Personally, I'm not a huge fan of crowded restaurants, but honestly, the amount of traffic speaks for itself. People clearly come here because the food is worth it. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, and the restaurant itself was clean... floors, tables, everything looked well maintained despite how busy it was. Service was excellent. My server was attentive without hovering, efficient without making me feel rushed, and my food came out surprisingly fast considering how busy the restaurant was. Drinks were handled well too ...bottled sodas available, and free refills on tea and lemonade. Next time, I'd probably come a little earlier in the day to avoid the lunch rush, but I would absolutely order this meal again.
