Bion's Full Service Auto Care

Bion's Full Service Auto Care

As a young woman with zero knowledge about cars, I am always wary about going to a new shop. I…read moreunexpectedly had to leave town, which was super convenient since my car had just started giving me some problems. After calling multiple shops, Bion's was the only place that could fit me in on such short notice. Not only was the staff very helpful and friendly, but they also fixed the problems with my car very quickly. Cost ended up being far less than I expected. Fair prices and a reputable, honest company that won't take advantage of you by draining your wallet. I would definitely recommend.

I was extremely dissatisfied with my service and do not suggest anyone go here…read more A friend of mine was in La Crosse with my car. I was camping in North Carolina. Unfortunately, my car took this moment to have a transmission failure. My friend towed my car to Bion's because they were a Mom and Pop kinda shop and she trusted them more. The diagnoses was that my transmission had leaked dry possibly due to a gasket or cap leak. Inspection, replacement, and flush were all quoted at $900 by Randy. I had always been told that transmission flushes are slightly dangerous for transmissions because they may jar sediment or impurities lose, only to get that sediment stuck somewhere else in the mechanism resulting in damage. Randy assured me that this would not be an issue and that I "would be taken care of." The next morning, the repairs were inexplicably jacked up to $1,300. The transmission was sticking in 4th and my new mechanic, Mike, didn't know why. He examined my transmission fluid and noted there was a lot of "metal fragments" in it and he didn't know why. Mike also said that if I wanted him to find the problem it would be at least 6 hours of labor for him to inspect my transmission. I want to take the time here to explain I could have ordered a used transmission for less than $1,300. The next day Mike said my car was running fine, and that I should probably replace the transmission. I requested an invoice of the service, and Mike said that he nor Randy new how to scan anything to email me. Here are my concerns: Shouldn't your mechanic accurately diagnose a problem before pouring your money into costly repairs? Shouldn't that mechanic also accurately quote his price? If the inaccuracy of service and failure to meet expectations results in a 45% cost increase, would you prefer the service representative offered to rectify the situation or at least talk to you again? Shouldn't these master mechanics, these tamers of technology, these wielders of wrenches, these kings of combustion... know how to scan a piece of paper into a PDF? TLDR; Cost me $1,300 to get my car to my regular mechanic for further repairs. Expectations not met. I was extremely dissatisfied with my service and do not suggest anyone go here.

Discount Tire

Discount Tire

I honestly don't know if I'll be back to discount tire. The First of all let's start with the name…read more I've called around to other places where I can get my tires cheaper. A couple of years ago, I had my tires changed. They offer to do the wipers as well and I had them changed too. My wipers started hitting down on the edge of my hood towards the windshield. He hit so much when I used them that it started wearing the paint off! The only thing Discount Tire did was look at the wipers. Didn't offer anything else. How about what happened to my hood?! Couple years moving forward, I needed to get my tires changed again. Started with a puncture in my tire. One worker came out and used some scanning thing to check the tread on my tires. Even after it was taken to the shop, NO ONE told me how balled all of my tires were on the inside wall of my tires! Irritating! They were able to get me a certificate for it. I was taken care of my Chan. Pretty nice guy until I spoke with him on the phone when I mentioned the price of my tires. Long story short, he started throwing guilt my way as if I wasn't grateful. Needless to say that ticked me off. I was asking questions, not wanting to "free stuff." I don't tolerate anyone guilting me. It was basically over the fact that no one told me about the tread of my other tires and the Chan telling me that he would see what he could do after talking to his manager. Came back on the phone, and that's when the guilt trip happened. Told me "we already are offering the certs for a couple of your tires, and I offered you to have all of your tires changed at the shop." Then he said, "I think we are already being generous offering the certs, and I did mention to you that you could get all of your tires changed." I'm like yeah, but I'm also not someone that can whip out money left and right as I am a teacher and I don't get paid nowhere near as much as I should and I'm on a budget. Not gonna lie, that pissed me off. When I ordered my tires, someone told me specifically on the phone that they could have my tire overnighted from Rochester and they would call me when they arrived. The next day, most of the day had passed and no one called. I called them. Brett the store manager answered and I told him what was going on. He said," I'm sorry, I'm not sure who told you we could overnight tires, but we aren't able to do that.." I'm literally like...WTF in my head. Communication needs to be a priority. It's like I deal with someone different all of the time. I also felt like Chan passed me off to other people because after I told him I didn't appreciate him guilting me, he doesn't even acknowledge my presence when I step into the shop. Not a friendly hello, nothing. Might as well call me cellophane. After finally getting all of my tires changed several days later when my tires came in, I called back a couple of weeks later to get an alignment. Discount Tire doesn't do appointments and it's first come first serve which I hate! I work out of town and I work all day. It's hard for me to do a first come first serve cause they're always busy or about to close. They also told me it would be over 200+. I called Cordell's and they are able to do my alignment cheaper, like 100 bucks cheaper! Cordell's also offers a shuttle if you need it which is included! Andddddddd they take appointments!!!! Needless to say after all of this, I'm taking my business to Cordell's!! As I do realize people have different experiences, and could be positive, unfortunately mine with Discount Tire was not. They used to be pretty good with customer service, but with me lately they've fallen off. I will however leave this on a positive. The guy that changed my other 3 tires, he really nice. He was a shorter Asian guy, and that's the only way I can describe him. He was very nice and very professional. I appreciate his kindness!

Bought a truck this afternoon & as I drove home checked the PSI. Over 40... that's definitely too…read morehigh... and it's hot. I headed to Discount. Kong promptly greeted me when I pulled up. Heeey! The cities don't have the things you drive over that ding in the garage, nice touch! I told Kong I had the same vehicle but different year and it was FWD this is AWD, I kept the other one at 36 should I do the same for this one? Kong asked if he could open the door to check? Kong said 36 would be good, got me adjusted. Kong also took down my name and number and scanned the VIN so my account should now be updated for the new vehicle. Thanks Kong for the friendly, thorough and quick service!
