Sometimes they are way in the back or the warehouse area it takes a while to get to the front door. That said, everyone I dealt with along the way was terrific Anna helped me in the beginning, then Andrew, who provided me a great competitive quote that I thought was too good to be true. It included the installation and was half of what another company quoted. I like to see the whole slab of stone before choosing, so that's why I went to see what they offer and what would match my new cashiers and the color palette. I chose a perfect quartz stone with everything my husband and I were looking for. Clean looking, some veins and even some beautiful color in the veining that matched our cabinets perfectly. Andrew was great in providing the correct timing window. For what I wanted, he said realistically it'll take one and a half to 2 weeks from measuring to the completed installation and that's what it took. When the person came to measure, he took his time and made sure everything was accurate. Since I wanted a curved edge at the end of my peninsula, he showed me a visual using his tools so I could choose between two different depths. I love the end result, as you can see in the photos. After reading reviews on Yelp, I decided to trust GMD Chicago with the fabrication and installation of some beautiful quartzite natural stone in an upscale kitchen renovation. We were not disappointed. Our project had some complications but GMD masterfully completed the work. They arranged the layout of pieces in such a way that we only needed two slabs of stone instead of three, which saved us tons of money and added value to their work.
