The place was very busy but distancing was possible. She greeted us and suggested we register with the front desk to get a salesperson to help us. I asked if she could be our salesperson. She had on a mask but when she greeted us, her eyes showed she was smiing and I just had a good feeling about her. I told her I thought I knew wgat I wanted as I had 2 samples from Home Depot & wanted to see full slabs. She sent us to the warehouse area and said she'd meet us there in a few minutes. Told us where to look for my samples. We were able to go right to them from her directions. OH NO! I didnt like either one. About that time she came around the corner to us. I told her I didnt like them and as we talked about what I did & didnt like she was able to give me some other slabs that she thought Id like. She NAILED IT! I immediately knew which one was perfect! Id been back & forth between samples for a couple of years, never able to decide. Id done my shopping at Home Depot and just never found "IT"! Theres so much more out there than what HD has! I actually had a price worked up at HD but just couldnt finalize it. Hellen said I could think about it, take my time. But I KNEW it was the one, finally. We gave her our square footage, talked about edging, sinks, cutouts and she gave us a rough estimate. $1600 cheaper than HD! And whereas HD said 5wks out, she said she could get us done in 2. HD has to go find someone to actually do the work, the measuring, the cutting the of the stone and the installation are all farmed out to other companies. Precision Stone Design DOES IT ALL! We first walked into PSD on Feb 6th, yesterday was our install! Angel & another young man got to my house at 12:50, unloaded their equipment and there was A LOT, and came in & introduced themselves. They were pleasant, personable & professional. From the mats they put on our hardwood floors, to the dry vac they brought to the care in which they did things "professional" describes them perfectly. There was 44sq ft of quartz in my small kitchen, a sink they had to make adjustments for, and a corner I wasnt 100% happy with that they were able to take care of ON THE SPOT. I would use this company again in a heartbeat! Highly recommend you check them out. Oh! Part of the difference in price was because HD had come up with more sq footage than I actually had! I dont know whether you can see the muted grey & beigey tones in this bright white quartz but its beautiful, subtle & elegant. I love it! Again, thank you PSD, Hellen that knew what i was looking for, and the installers. Great job by everyone!

Given how professional they were, the fact that they were more knowledgeable than most of the people we met, and also very efficient and reliable, I believe that this place was the best quartz fabricator for the money. Best value, I should say. They have higher end remnants in the back usually as well such as Caesarstone. I've attached a photo of one of the perfect, beautifully machined ledge cuts that their fabricator Daniel made for us.

Granite Selection had sent over their template for the seams prior to cutting and insisted they were necessary behind my sink and I agreed to the alignment they provided. However the installation was completely off on the veining of the quartz behind my sink and did not match what they showed in the template for approval. I have called 10+ times to have them fix this as my kitchen is small and it does not look right. I have only been able to talk to the business owner Paul once and he has constantly ignored me. Beware - they require a check up front and if you have any issues they will ignore you and happily keep your money. I couldn't be more disappointed in their lack of responsibility and care for a paying customer.

Some helpful hints based on our experience: 1. A big countertop dealer like MSI, located in Elk Grove Village, has a very large showroom where you can see the full countertop slabs. We had some preferences based on the web site pictures and the little quartz samples, but ended up selecting a different slab once we were in the showroom. You really want to see the full countertop slabs before your decision is finalized. 2. We were really disappointed with the Home Depot service, which is The Countertop Factory - Midwest. There was an extremely hard sell visit to our house and a take-it-or-leave it price. 3. Many quartz countertop installation services want you to select quartz they already have in stock. Davan let us shop around and we selected an MSI countetop, which MSI already had in stock. Our job therefore proceeded quickly from final slab selection to installation (less than two weeks). 4. I was unnecessarily nervous about our kitchen tile backsplash when our old formica countertops were replaced with new quartz countertops. We wanted to retain the old kitchen backsplash. That was not a problem and the installation occurred smoothly.

He worked with me on the size and found a remnant that perfectly matched my existing counter top. Once I assembled my island and called Davan I was ready, they came a day later! I highly recommend Davan for your counter top needs. The installers were very efficient, clean and quick.

They completed the job in approximately 5 1/2 hours including cleanup. Their craftsmanship was superb, and yes, we are very pleased with our new countertops. Not so our communication with Artistic's sales rep. She was outwardly friendly and polite, but it typically took her several days to respond to messages. Her confusion about some of our questions made us wonder whether she understood much about fabrication and installation. Also, we found her guidance to be misleading. She convinced us to replace our old overmount porcelain sink with a new stainless steel undermount sink. Which might have been okay, except my Missus made a point of saying that she wanted enough space between the sink and backsplash to accommodate two accessory trays. Not only did we end up with a smaller sink but also less counter space than before! In retrospect, a rectangular sink (though more costly) would have been a better choice than what was installed. Since we were past the point of no return, we asked if they would at least move the soap dispenser to provide more usable space. To make a long story short, nearly 4 months following our initial visit to their showroom, a worker finally came out to make the adjustment. He assured us he would return the next week to complete the job by filling in the original hole with a like material. We never heard from him again and there has been no response to our text messages.

I'd NEVER recommend this company. There were so many other companies in this location that we…read morecould have gone to... but fate or misfortune brought us here. We contracted to have Uba Tuba installed throughout our kitchen. They finally installed the countertops at the end of '23. As the installers were finishing up, a guy showed up to inspect their work. We engaged in conversation while the crew of (2) finished the work. I specifically asked him about the durability and care of the stone, to which he confidently replied that it was practically indestructible - no need for cutting board or trivet, you could probably hammer on it and its not going to harm it. .. Anyways, we spoke for a while. Seemed to be a nice guy, even stated if anything happens he'll come out right away... Well, just as soon as they left, we noticed a substantial mark on one of the counter segments. I looked like a grinder scrape, probably 6-8" long. It was initially hard to notice because they appear to use an oil-based solution to glam it up upon completion. We immediately contacted the guy who came at the end and he said he'd notify the installer to return to repair the damage. One of them returned within an hour and did what looked like an attempt to polish it out. After working on it for like an hour, apparently, he thought it looked finished, so he polished it up again with the oily stuff and told us to wait an hour or two. Unfortunately, after several hours, the area, which originally has these grinding scores, now had an even bigger damage from the attempted polishing, and the section had this hazy glaze about 2" wider than before. We contacted the same man to tell him about the issue and he said not to worry because they'd just come back another day and replace the whole piece, which is about 5'. He told my husband to set it up with Smytha, at the Artistic office. Weeks turned into months, as my husband kept leaving messages requesting a call back. and no one following up. Finally, March 9, 2024, I called the office and spoke directly to Smytha. She told me they'd schedule the replacement but were so busy, but she'd call me back the next week to get it on schedule. After not hearing from them by mid-week, I called again. They scheduled for 3/22/24 but had an issue with some machine and had to reschedule. They finally returned on 3/26/24. So, the foreman guy and one other installer show up. They replace the damaged slab and leave. After they are gone, I take a look at the piece they replaced and notice that the piece on this section is a noticeable difference from what was installed for the rest of the kitchen. The first had a majority of blacks and grey, the new section was black and BROWNS, with very little grey. I suppose out of frustration, we didn't call them. I feel foolish because we had no reason to feel like we shouldn't "bother" them with this. But really, they are the supposed experts. The guy we spoke to claimed like 20 yrs with is company. I'm sure they knew it wasn't a match, but just wanted to get us off their backs. I swear, I also noticed a chip on the edge of the island across from the area being serviced which I do not believe was there before they arrived. But again, I say nothing....Ok, so it's been not even a year. I'm still having trouble accepting that the pieces are a different design because they are such large sections and they are not placed far enough away from each other not to notice, so, yes, I am triggered about it when I think about it, especially anytime guest are over. And, that "durability" that we were assured that the counters had? Well, after only ONE time, I've learned this wasn't true either. I am really disappointed having chose this company.

Worse, it rose 14 inches from the counter, directly in the sightline between my bed and the TV projection screen, which are at opposite ends of the space. I found a replacement faucet that, when not in use, telescopes down into the sink cabinet so I would no longer have to peer around the faucet to read the captions on the screen. But it required another hole for the mixer as the original was a one-hole faucet. The countertop is Dekton porcelain manufactured material, designed to survive a nuclear bomb, so I needed someone with the equipment to drill a new hole and not crack the countertop. Clearly a small job, I was worried no one would care about my TV viewing habits enough to offer to do it. Victor was super-fast to respond, was reasonably priced, called me the morning he said he would with a time window, then showed up on time. It took all of 5 minutes and for good measure, he helped me remove the old faucet that I had half-uninstalled but got stuck. He also cleaned up. I had procrastinated for 8 months - this faucet has been sitting boxed under my sofa since December, so it is embarrassing how easy this ended up being. Great crew and great team!
