Just coming in here to put my two cents in, right off the bat the gentlemen in the front very welcoming made sure I was checked in with my appt, the atmosphere is good clean shop well taken care of my issue was not the barber himself but the customer service he did a really good job on the hair cut but he himself didn't make me feel very welcomed he was very short with me not sure if he was having a bad day or just tired it could be a number of things but I just overall didn't feel comfortable sitting there after a couple minutes that alone makes me not return to this location, in this industry it isn't about how well you cut but also how you connect with people read more

When the barber ask me "what do I want" I show him the TikTok and told him I want it a little longer, I even specified that I want the hair below the ears and eyebrows. But the haircut externally short, the hair above the ears and eyebrows. Also the back of the hair is flat and it makes my head look flat. If you don't mind paying a tad more than some of these other places. I would say come here. I think the barbers here have a tad more skill with scissor work than just the fade. Too many of these places might know how to fade but they don't know how to shape head or cut your hair with scissors. There's a big gap of talent here at this shop than other shops I have been to. I had Tommy as my barber and he listened to everything I wanted. Even stopped through out the cut to ask if I was ok with this and made some recommendations that made the cut exactly what I wanted. I will be back and I don't mind spending a little more for the quality. The owner Louis is like the master here according to my barber. I love the respect and the vibe of the shop. My son has been going to Michael since he was 4 and a half and he's 5 now. He won't let any other barber touch his hair. When michael left his old shop, we kept searching for him everywhere!! Thankfully we found him again. Now, This shop doesn't necessarily take kids that young but Michael was kind enough to continue cutting my son's hair. He's very patient with my son and my son really enjoys going to him. He also gave us suggestions on which products to use for our son. Go see him! You won't regret it read more

Louis is the best hair stylist I have ever had in my life. I started going to him 2 years and always came back. The atmosphere in the building is always good. Usually when I do get a haircut I won't have to come back for 2-4 months depending on the haircut I get. I've had hundreds of haircuts (and beard trims) in my life and I have to say the cuts I've received at Gnarly Barbershop have been the absolute best. Their meticulous attention to detail is beyond anything I've experienced before. The team here has developed the craft of cutting hair/beards to an absolute art form. Other places may be cheaper, but it's definitely a case of getting what you pay for and I notice that I'm happy with how my hair looks for much longer after getting it cut here a few times. As well, the decor, music and just overall vibe of the place is super rad. Finally, it's located right off the 215/Tropicana so it couldn't be more convenient for us west-siders. As someone that has been going to Louis since I was in highschool, it is truly incredible the care and attention to detail he provides for his clients. From my personal experience, he has never failed to provide me with an excellent haircut. I've always had REALLY THICK hair that no barber wanted to take the time to deal with, or would get tired around the end and get sloppy with their work. Louis on the other hand, carefully cut my hair, maintained fun conversation so we didn't sit in silence(an unfortunate thing nobody should have to undergo with a barber), and overall just ensured excellent client experience all around. I understand the price may be a little unnerving, but I promise you its worth it. Louis is a master of his craft, and if your hair needs some more love than normal people, he's the guy you want cutting away.
