I don't post reviews often, when they're warranted or when some place really sucks. This shop does not suck. It's got that "neighborhood" shop vibe. All the barbers are crazy good, but if you want the best - IMO - see Lino. I've been with Lino going on 8 years! One time in those 8 years I couldn't get an appointment because of my schedule, so I went to uhmmmm Supercuts. Absolute disaster. Asked for hard part and the barbers I had to confer with each other to figure out what a hard part was! Barf. Honestly, you get what you pay for. Never. Again. Lino does it all, even the old school skills you don't see much anymore - hot shave, straight razor, etc. If you look up barber in the dictionary, you'll see Lino's photo. If there was a barbers handbook Lino would have his own chapter. The guy is better than good, he's an expert. On top of his skills with the scissors and clippers Lino is just a great guy. Super friendly, chill, professional but not stuffy. You can also tell when you're in the chair Lino LOVES being a barber. He's just an all around good dude. I asked TROY for a burst fade and showed him a video of what I wanted it to look like and he said alright bet I gotchu. He gets done with fading the sides after about an hour and then after says "okay is this good?" I said "are you gonna take any off the top" he said "no I don't touch the top after I do the sides" out of sheer confusion and wanting to just get out of there after so long I said okay whatever and said I was satisfied and left. I text him back later that day and ask if he can fix it. He said yeah but then gives me a hard time for taking time out of his day to fix his OWN mistake. I am the type of man that is loyal to a fault, especially with those I trust with my image. I tip really well. I'm not going to name names, but I tried one barber from here twice. The first time, he spent 40 minutes on the fade and ran two paths in my hair with scissors and called it good. He didn't knock off the corners, and didn't blend. It seemed like he had a hard time with the thought of having to stick his fingers in my hair to cut and blend. The cut was overall ok. Fade was on point. This last time I went back, he was 20 minutes behind (which isn't unheard of, I get that it happens) and when I was finally able to sit in the chair, he spent the first 10 minutes taking about his ex and hooking up with an escort. He then rushed my fade, left my corners untouched again (almost like a really really short undercut). I asked for a midline dropped taper which is what I always get AND showed him a pic for an example. He pulled it high and faded it tight. My hair looked like a fucking mushroom and he shaved my edges way off center. When I got home and saw this, I contacted him to readdress it the next day and he agreed no problem. The next morning I pull into the parking lot and he texts me he's running a little late. Once again, not a huge problem. I waited 45 minutes in the parking lot and he never showed. I drove back home 25 minutes and 3 hrs later he hit me up asking "where I was". The vibe is pretty relaxed in the place which is why I'm putting 1 star. There are a couple of other guys that I noticed that really do a good job and for the most part run a tight service. Aside from that, the barber bays remind me of what a high schoolers bathroom counter would look like. Music is what you would expect and the overall attitude is that guys are showing up for a paycheck, and not to help someone present themselves right. Im a business owner myself and my image is a huge part of how I make sales. I won't be going back, but I'm a picky guy and have only found 2 people in the last 10 years that slay cuts. I stayed with each of them for at least 3 years until I moved away from them. You might fare better. The two blue shirt pics are of the last time I went. Don't go here if you have a very specific type of curl, and if you do decide to go, do not get cut by Ali. He cut my hair way too short in the front and gave me a skin fade when I asked for a mid taper, and the lineup was uneven. read more

So after arguing with my hubby to just go local instead of somewhere far, I sent my him here after trying to vouch how this place seems to have such a high rating and what not.... I called to verify pricing and availability.... showed the hubby that they seem to do great cuts and what not, even told them about how they will give him $5 off for mentioning yelp.... The cut was ok... but not only did they not honor the $5 off they overcharged him from the price we were quoted over the phone. Super dishonest. I'm glad we have an awesome barber in LA. It's been about three weeks since I posted this review. Really is unfortunate every damn barber shop I go to wants to give me the guy that hasn't cut more than his pubes with success. Yeah just throw me the newbie every damn shop or maybe y'all just straight up can't cut and suck. Terrible professionalism no owner response. My 5 year old nephew is autistic and hates getting his haircut. He usually cries through the service and is just super upset the whole time. When I took him in to see Lino yesterday he didn't fuss at all and Lino was even able to get him to sit by himself in the chair for the first time ever! My 3 year old son's barber moved to another location so I began scouting for a new barber around our area. I knew about this places Sin city because of its fair reviewed yelp account and I had to trust it when it came to deciding where to take my son for his haircut after the long agonizing quarantine period. Below is the before and after photo of my son and Ray did the magic. The shop offered plenty of parking space, the shop itself is very spacious. The seats were separated by a plastic curtain And I think it's for protection and social distancing purpose. Ray washed his hands prior wearing his gloves, put on the mask, and then proceed on his duties. He engaged with us every now and then and he took his time to clean up my son. He listened to our request and he was very polite. I really appreciate the modest attitude he had towards my son and I and we really felt his great service. He made sure that everything is proportioned and cleaned up my son after. He charged fairly and we left satisfied. I think we found our new barber in town. Thanks Ray! I went to this barber shop shortly after they opened today (6/22/20) and I actually did not know it was by appointment only. I had never been there, however the guy that opened up the shop was nice enough to take my son in (I didn't get his name ...) To give you a little background story, my son is nonverbal and autistic and getting a haircut is always very nerve-racking for me because I'd never know how his level of anxiety will be or if a blow dryer will go off and make him run for it. I always pray we make it through. However, the guy that cut his hair was so so nice and very patient. He did such a great job with my son. Thank you so much! The only thing missing is the fine touches. It is mostly a walk in barber shop but they do take appointments. If you book an actual appointment, the price is more. Coming from Miami Beach it's not that much but it would still be nice to save a little more, especially since I've become a regular. Again this is not a complaint just a comment. My barber McKenna is a Hawaiian badass! This guy really does an amazing job. He's fun, funny, and precise when it comes to cutting hair. He does an amazing job with my beard too #beardgang #donthatemecuzimbeardiful. They play amazing old school hip hop and funny enough there Roku speaks Korean but no one in the shop speaks Korean. Every so often it says something and everyone gets a giggle out of it. They also have multiple flat screens for people into sports. Lastly and impressively they have a colorist. Although it's a barbershop there is one guy that specializes in color and does it all so ladies if ur looking, deffo reach out and give them a chance. See you next week! read more

KC is the ultimate gentleman barber. Uber skilled and extremely friendly this artist will make you laugh the whole time you're in his chair. He is masterful at what he does. He sees things you don't even know exist on your face! I NEVER tell him what to do and he gives me the freshest most rad fade anyone has given me in 30 years! My barber ended up being out of town so I was on the search of somewhere I could go to get a haircut in the mean time. I originally downloaded the app Booksy which is a booking app to set up appointments with barbers and other professionals in the area. I booked an appointment with Nikko at Sin City Cutz as this location is next to my house. I walked in about 15 minutes because I didn't want to be late to a place I've never been to and potentially miss an appointment that was scheduled. The barber shop atmosphere is what you would expect, busy environment where there is music playing, the football game was on tv, and if you didn't have an appointment set up you'd probably be waiting for awhile. I had no idea what Nikko looked at the time when I booked and vice versa. When it came time for my appointment he texted me (had my number from making the appointment on Booksy) asking if I was still on for the appointment. I replied and said I was up in the front and wasn't sure what he looked like so I just waited for him to get me. He introduced himself to me and showed me to the chair. When it comes to haircuts I can either have what I want in mind or am willing to try something new. He asked what I wanted and I decided to go with getting a fauxhawk as that is what I've been getting for a haircut. Throughout the session we went on talking about life, interests, plans for the future, etc. Conversation felt natural and was able to keep it going throughout the cut. The end result is what I wanted. The fade was clean and no stray hairs were found. The fauxhawk was shaped well and wasn't too long. If you are in the area and in need of a haircut I recommend Nikko. If I could give them 0 starts I would. I made an appointment through the phone and the next day, I drove to Sin City Cutz at 5:30. They said the person who answered the phone left early. Mind that there was about 6 barbers in the shop just sitting around, 1 of them were cutting hairs, why couldn't they cut our hair? Who knows... just really disappointing specially during the holidays after driving for 30 minutes just to get turned down while having an appointment, very unreliable and unprofessional. I don't recommend going here and being discriminated. Going into the barber shop there was no "welcome, how can we help you" or "do you have an appointment with us?"
