The employee who could help me was still in line buying his coffee and didn't come over until after he finished. By then, I'd waited so long that I decided not to buy those items. I spoke with the manager, who told me this was completely normal and allowed under Whole Foods policy: that employees can stop to buy food or drinks during their shifts and leave their posts to do so. I understand employees need breaks, but having six employees buying coffee right after opening while customers wait for assistance is pretty disappointing. The fact that management saw nothing wrong with it was even more frustrating.
