This Publix is exactly what you'd expect from this beloved Florida chain. The store is clean, well-organized, and easy to navigate, if a little dingy and worn down on the outside. The aisles are spacious, the shelves are well-stocked, and it's simple to find both everyday essentials and specialty items. Their produce and bakery sections are great here, with colorful and appealing fresh fruits and veggies and a large bakery that has a decent selection of breads, cakes, cookies, and pies. There's a nice prepared foods section too, which is great if you want a quick and healthier meal in your hotel room without having to cook. This location isn't fancy, but it carries a ton of different brands. As with all Publix supermarkets, the prices are on the higher side. This isn't the store to shop if you're looking for a bargain. The staff seems competent and helpful, and I didn't have to wait long at all to check out. Parking is free and convenient too, which is a big plus in the Orlando resort area. This location also sells Disney souvenirs. I picked up some adorable Minnie Mouse pencils that I just couldn't resist for less than $5.

While I do prefer the Winter Park location (as it is also near some other eateries and shopping areas), this location is the one nearest to my home. It is located off a busy thoroughway, so it does get a little tricky to get here at times. There's a good amount of parking. It does, like most of their locations, get pretty busy, but for the most part, you can usually always find parking. The staff is kind and helpful (when and if needed). The food options/varieties are great! As with their other locations, they offer various cuisine types for just about everyone. This is also inclusive of their dining options (i.e., their hot and cold bars, bakery, and the like). They have a range of household items, personal care items, toiletries, groceries, and so forth. So, again, you can usually find most of what you need. As far as their dining options go, I've gotten a hot lunch from Whole Foods on numerous occasions. I never eat there, but you can if you'd like, as they have a good amount of indoor and outdoor seating options to enjoy your meal. I'm usually not disappointed with the options. I also really enjoy a number of their soup options. The bakery is probably my favorite section! I'm always leaving Whole Foods with something sweet. However, I couldn't buy any food until I was checked-in later today. I bought a gallon of Publix drinking water and a 1.5L bottle of Zephrhills spring water to make sure I stay hydrated. They also ship directly to your house, so I often use this service, since the store moved from Maitland, which was closer to me, to its current location near the attractions. I stopped in here yesterday to pick up some stuff for my mom. She just had surgery and was at home resting. But she needed some things refilled, so she gave me the list. As I walked in, Manny at the counter was assisting another customer. I grabbed a basket, and began filling my mom's order. Most of the things she wanted were easy to find. On a couple of them I had to call her and get clarification on the exact item she wanted. As I was looking for the last couple of items, an associate came out from the back and offered to assist me. He helped me find the last two items that I wanted. On one of them, he showed me two different options. I wasn't sure which one of the two my mom gets, but he told me that Manny would be able to look that up in the POS. So, I went to the counter and asked Manny for assistance. I gave him my mom's name, and he was able to find out what it was that she gets. He also helped me find another item that I wasn't sure about. With the order finally complete, he began ringing up my transaction. While he did so, he asked how my mom was doing, noting that she usually comes in by herself. I liked that he remembered my mom by name. Showed me that he cares about and is attentive to his customers. When the transaction was complete, Manny thanked me and wished me a good day. I did the same, and left, very satisfied with the wonderful experience I had at the store. I realize that this is a very limited experience, and I would have to go back a few more times to get a more accurate reading. But they made a very good first impression on me.
