Went there tonight just to pick up creatine monohydrate bc I am out of town and unexpectedly ran out. This is a basic staple that used to be common at every GNC for the last 20 years. They were "out of stock" and all they had was this ridiculous blended product with multiple forms of creatine (not shown by any study to be better than monohydrate) and they marked the price up to $80 per bottle. This is absolutely pathetic and ridiculous- whoever owns this store should be ashamed of themselves. With selection and service like this it's no wonder brick and mortar stores are dying out. I've started coming in because I train at a nearby gym and after meeting and talking to one of the owners, Jake, this is my favorite shop to go to for any of my supplements. Jake is extremely knowledgeable and more than willing to provide any information about any of the items in the store to assist in making the best educated decision. Cooler was nearly empty. I asked for a RTD pre workout and was told they can not sell me single cans I'd have to buy a whole case, UNLESS they had already done it for another customer so I had to pick from what the shoppers before me wanted where they had opened a case to sell them one. However, here in Woodinville, the service and product knowledge not only is exceptional when placed against other GNC stores, it's EXCEPTIONAL when compared to ANY OTHER RETAIL SPECIALTY STORE. The depth of knowledge in this shop (regarding the products and their usage) by Jake on staff here is truly second to none. Honestly, I was dreading going into GNC because past experiences I've had back home in the Bay Area. However, I was pleasantly surprised by my shopping experience with Jake at this location. I had a list of all the things that I was told to incorporate into my diet and workout plan. He advised me on the best products to get that would not only satisfy what my trainer had recommended, but also fine tune them for things specific to me (like the higher dose of vitamin d since we are about to go into Fall or the cleanse and lean that also helps with sleep). What was great is that Jake made me feel completely comfortable asking questions without making me feel out of place in his store. The store manager is awesome! He was so helpful in helping me pick out a pre workout that worked for me. I get bad headaches with a lot of pre workouts and he helped me isolate what my body couldn't handle. He even let me try out and return a couple products to see which worked best. Just went here to pick up a supplement recommended by friend. I don't like GNC because typically they are either not knowledgeable or just trying to make a sale. I must say I was impressed with Jake's education and his own personal struggles. It was the first time in a GNC store that someone seemed sincere. I've been to a few of these over the years of trying to get in shape, stay in shape or just get a cool water bottle with a spring ball inside... All kidding aside, of all those GNC stores, this was the only store where I didn't feel some kind of animosity to the person who was trying to up-sell a product or has an employee that thinks taking 45 pills and not working out will yield results. I went in, joked around for a bit and got down to business. Jake turned around and returned the banter, listened to what I was trying to accomplish and got me hooked up with the right products.
