I joined PCC as a member in 2015 for their large selection of local vendors and plethora of healthy options! The membership has evolved a lot since joining. I appreciate the free membership item the most but regardless I'm happy I joined. I wish they had more locations. I think PCC would be very successful in Carnation, Redmond Ridge, or Duvall! I usually go to issaquah so I don't shop at this location often but I'm impressed by their deli setup and healthy options + baked goods/bakery selection. My personal favorites are the mighty'o donuts! And their vegan pies, vegan brownies, and vegan cookies! Staff are friendly. Market is easy to navigate and clean. read more

The U-Scan attendants need to clean off the U-Scan machines with bleach or something because the U-Scans at the Redmond PCC always smell like poop. And then the smell sticks to my clothes just from standing near the U-Scan while I'm buying my groceries. read more

Don't buy their bulk items! I bought a few pounds of organic red rice from them. I didn't open the bag (tied) for a month because I had rice that I hadn't finished eating. When I opened the bag, they are full of weevils (bugs that eat grains). I have never seen this bug before in my pantry or in my kitchen. The eggs must have been in the rice when I bought them and waiting to hatch. I'm glad that I didn't eat the rice sooner, otherwise, I would have eaten the eggs and stored the rest in a container, and the weevils would have infested my pantry. read more

What a joy to shop at this store! It is very well run. Shelves are always full and products pulled forward. All departments seem to have competent managers and the employees, especially the ones that have contact with public are all friendly and willing to help. There seems to be very little employee turnover as most everyone seems to like working there. We like it better than other PCC locations and certainly better than other food stores. read more

This is my least favorite PCC market I have ever gone to. I don't like grocery stores because I find them crowded, pushy, and people lose their minds often once inside. I love the PCC in Issaquah because I never experience that there. When I happened to be in Redmond for another activity and saw there was a PCC here I was excited to get this chore out of the way. I ended up paying for only one item because the experience was stressful. The way they have their aisles laid out creates a few pinch points where people can't get pass each other and it becomes a tangle of shopping carts. Some just pushed their way through making the matter worse. People were pushing their way to the shelves between me and my cart without even asking to get through and then apologizing after the fact. It was epic passive aggressive behavior and more than not invasive. Like who does that? The selection wasn't as much as other PCCs. It looked like all the others but with only a fraction of the stuff. I can't say I will return here ever. read more

I'm sorry I have to post this as a sanitation warning to all. This store is one of the worst I've been to in terms of flies in their bakery and coffee area. They leave a lot of their baked goods out in the open and I see flies and gnats all over them every time I come in. No one cares. I often walk by their case and notice the doors are left open by customers. So sad. At my last visit I saw this...flies eating the jelly off a goodie. Not so goody. How about a fly trap or something to protect people from getting sick?!? And doors that automatically gently close? Or an alarm goes off if left open? Or a sign?? It just is not sanitary and I don't think I'll be purchasing any of these items again. Someone is going to get sick. read more

I've been shopping at PCC Redmond Market for many years. It was great when it opened but things have changed over time. Things they should improve upon: Their Hot bar buffet offers the very same items over and over again. I enjoy the Indian food items but it has become a priority. Why aren't Chinese, Japanese and German foods also offered on the hot bar? The hot bar buffet offerings have become so predictable and boring. -- The dividend that used to be offered each year is no longer. We haven't received a dividend for the past two years. When I inquired about the absence of a dividend to a store employee, they told me we still get lots of discounts. I'm ot aware of any discounts. Perhaps those are on items I don't purchase? Not sure why they ask for our phone numbers to be entered since that used to be based upon ID for a dividend. PCC used to offer a hot breakfast bar until 11 a.m., daily. Now they've changed the hours to end at 10 a.m. weekly, and 11 a.m. on weekends. 10 a.m. is still considered a time for breakfast and should be kept. I know I'm not the only customer who feels this way about this time change. The Cantalope, musk melon fruit that has been offered over the winter has been hard, unripe and tasteless. I have complained about this and returned the items on more than one occasion but so far no improvement. If the resource PCC uses to obtain the fruit from continues to offer the unsatisfactory product, they should either find another resource or discontinue the product. It's very frustrating to purchase fruit that looks good on the surface but once purchased and tasted, it has to be either returned or discarded. Would like to see some improvements in this regard. read more

I called in asking their floral department if they got in this plant ive been hunting for and they didn't have it but the nicest lady, Erin, said she'd take my number just in case. This morning she texted me to say that a couple came in stock!! when I asked her to put some on hold she made sure to grab two of the fullest/biggest one to save for me and put my name on it to make sure it'd go to the right person (had an experience yesterday where a diff store sold my "on hold" plant to someone else:( !) please give my biggest thank you to Erin for the amazing customer service. she actually got back to me, carefully picked out the best plant, and was at the store super friendly when I showed up too. First off if you are coming here for groceries, you could do way better elsewhere. I thought QFC was expensive but this place beats that which is problematic. Even if you do want organic or locally sourced groceries, I recommend Whole Foods or Metropolitan Market. Next off, let me tell you about the hot food. I've been coming here for a few weeks now for lunch and I usually get the hot sandwiches which aren't very filling but they do the job. Occasionally I'll get the salad but halfway through the day the leaves just don't taste very fresh which isn't PCCs fault. But today I decided to get the Hungarian Mushroom soup. As you can see in the picture it was covered in oil. Initially I chalked this up to the soup just laying around without being stirred but as I was packaging the oil kept puddling at the top. It was too late to put it back at this point so I decided to at least try it. I swear it tasted like hot oil with a small amount of mushrooms in it. I couldn't even bring myself to finish the soup and it ended up going to waste. Unfortunately a lot of the soups looked like this today. When I checked the chicken noodle soup, it was all noodles and shredded chicken left. I have no idea where all broth went or why it wasn't refilled at around 3pm. read more

I had booked a cooking class at PCC, Redmond location. I have been battling a stomach virus and emailed the class specialist the morning of to request a class credit, not a refund. The response was no refund or credit unless I found a replacement and it's a 50% additional cost now to re-book and has to be used within 30 days. As a PCC member, I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service experience that I am being penalized due to an unexpected virus that could potentially expose others. I fully intend to take a class and did not want a refund. The only response I received was "well people with covid we make the same rules for them too." So because a customer has an unexpected contagious virus, its PCC's policy that the customer only has 30 days to re-book and pay an additional 50% because the customer was ill." read more

My boyfriend frequently tutors students in this neighborhood, so I find myself at this PCC frequently. All of my experiences have led me to think that they don't use enough tomatoes. I frequently go through their deli section, and rarely find something I really want. Occasionally I grab a soup or a sandwich, but normally come out with some raspberries and a DRY Soda. I got one of their big pretzels one time, and it was kind of dry. They do have a pretty big gluten-free selection (saw GF pretzels today!), which is a good thing for the times I'm shopping for my boyfriend. When my daughter was about 10 years old we moved a couple blocks from PCC. We went in to get a couple groceries and could not find the Mac and cheese she wanted, most were wheat flour or veggie, which is cool by me, but she wasn't thrilled. We leave with our purchases and she turns to me and says "Mom, that store is racist." I'm like "What??'" She says, "Yeah, they don't have any white noodles!" PCC in Redmond is a natural foods supermarket located on Avondale Road in an unassuming suburban strip mall. It is about a 10 minute drive away from Whole Foods. While the product lines for both are similar, I would say PCC leans more to modeling itself towards being the missing link between Whole Foods and Metropolitan Market. Like Whole Foods, prices are a bit high which are understandable for the premium product lines. Though there are numerous grocery items that are comparable to those you would find in a conventional supermarket. The market itself is not very large. The meat and seafood areas are relatively small. Still the aisles in the store are decently spaced so it is actually a very comfortable place to shop. The deli, bakery and cheese selections here are decent. Deli selections includes salads and sandwiches which are fairly priced. There is also a soup bar near the breads. The bakery selections here include those from Seattle area bakeries include Grand Central, Essential and Panzanella. There were also some interesting cupcake selections here which looked decent and reasonably priced at $2 a piece. PCC is like Whole Foods in being a place I would not shop on a regular basis. However, the product selection here is good and worth an occasional visit. read more

Many of the cashiers at PCC (at least the Issaquah store) are wearing "Black Lives Matter" buttons. This annoys me for the following reasons: 1. If political views are going to be permitted, then all sorts of such views should be permitted. Critical thinkers understand that unless all lives matter, in a given society, no life matters. If only black lives matter today, tomorrow only gay lives, or white lives, or immigrant lives, etc., etc. may matter. When all lives matter, then black, white, or other lives matter, by definition. Think about that. 2. The Black Lives Matter movement of a few years ago is over. To continue displaying those buttons is like picking a scab on a wound. If people truly want sincere acceptance of all races, then let's just relate to one another without constant reminders of past problems, or the constant airing of false narratives such as "systemic racism", "white supremacy" and other such garbage. These mantras are repeated by design, by planned effort to divide, not in any way to unite. Constant repetition is the surest way to remind people, to inflame potential aggression, to keep a population from embracing one another. Think about that too. 3. Many people my remain silent, but thoroughly resent these symbols of endless division. Eventually we seek a different store to buy our groceries. PCC is a grocery store, not a town hall meeting to address racial issues. read more

I love this store so much. They always have the very BEST fresh organic produce....better than any other grocery store. The manager is so nice and helpful. He always says hello and asks if I need anything. Ian in the produce department is so helpful and so nice too. He has taught me so much about how to choose the best produce, how to clean it and prepare it properly. He takes time to answer any questions I have (and I always have many) Ian's very courteous and glad to help. I love being treated with such excellent customer service. I found this amazing vegan cashew dip here yesterday afternoon. Seriously, it tastes like cheesey spread, only it's made with cashews and red peppers. I haven't seen this in the other stores, but maybe it was b/c I just wasn't looking for it. Not quite as good as the Seattle locations, as there are only a few check out counters, and only two folks workin' them on a busy Saturday afternoon. Other than that, it was A-OK! read more

Best grocery store on the PLANET!!!! They have the best pizza in town, hands down! Food is unbelievably fresh and delicious. They prepare a large amount and wide variety of hot and cold foods on site. If I'm ever in the mood for takeout or fast food, I just avoid both and stop in to PCC and eat there. Staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and you can tell everyone who works there has a real passion for food. They can't WAIT to help you or answer your questions. Today was the first day that I had to wait more than 8 minutes for a Cashier. It is Sunday. The Oscars are on tonight, so lots of parties are taking place, yet this Redmond location is short of staff! Troy from Produce jumped in to help like he always does; however, now that your prices have increased substantially (they were already high), I expect an increased level of customer service--not less! Oh, how I wish PCC could come home with me. When I was visiting Seattle I was told to come to PCC for all my health food needs; that I would usually buy at Wholefoods, and it made since they were closest to where I was staying. During my stay I ended up coming here about 3 times and I wished I would have bough more stuff to enjoy back home. I couldn't believe the large selection of organic fruits and vegetables they had and all the rare pre-packaged baked goods they offered. Two of my favorite finds were the Flying Apron gluten free cookies and Marcona skinless almonds. I was also amazed at how much cheaper everything was compared to Wholefoods. I tell you if I could take PPC home with me I totally would and I'd be the happiest person on the planet. Hooray for PCC! I totally recommend them! read more

This market is amazing. I SO WISH we had one in Olympia. My daughter and I were in town for a soccer tournament nearby and had some time to kill. We are both healthy eaters and ended up spending an hour and a half browsing this store (and 104.00 later - lol). LOVED the deli and bakery options. AND they had delicious brewed coffee to drink while shopping. We were asked several times if we needed help with anything by several different employees. The store/bathroom was very very clean and well organized. I found several items I cannot find anywhere in Olympia, not even the co-op. We loved all of the local treats available in bakery. The packaged to go food was amazing too. Would have loved to try the soups and other items. PLEASE EXPAND TO OLYMPIA. I know the store would be patronized a lot. Loved this store! read more

Great products albeit a tad higher priced than I want to spend for daily shopping so I keep this place as my great deli and wine location. The Albertsons in Redmond is my closest store but the wine section is only okay, not great, luckily pcc has good wine. Checkout is always slow, a combination of not enough people working and mediocre urgency. Don't expect a quick visit. read more

I love this PCC and how they updated the whole store. The store has a great assortment of organic and local items and now a lot of freshly prepared foods for either lunch or to go. I also love their cooking classes, they are always fun. They do offer a small sitting area, which is great for eating lunch right there. The space is a bit small, but the outside tables will be nice again to use in summer. The only small critic point I have is that the bread is too far away now from the ready to eat bar. I know they have some rolls there, but I always grabbed a bigger baguette or bread to take the rest home for later. I think those items should be close by. read more
