I have been coming to Go Burrito since they opened their doors. When I say it is the greatest burrito place, I am not joking. Not only are the burritos HUGE (and delicious), so is everything else on the menu. When you eat here, it's hard to eat at other burrito places because they don't even come close. I have probably tried everything they have, but my favorite thing to order is this chicken nachos, with the Life is Good salsa. Plus they have Cheerwine, which is another reason I love to come here. Now, if you come during peak hours, do be prepared to wait. However, it is so worth the wait. There is parking across the street, as well as plenty of street parking across downtown. Salisbury is a small town, so even if you have to park "far," it isn't actually far! In conclusion, if you have not tried GoBo, you are missing out. read more

The food is always great, the staff is pretty friendly and the price is fair. But the place needs to close for the weekend have some thorough cleaning. The floor is sticky, the windows are very dirty and the fans/ lights are full of dust and spider webs. You kind have to concentrate in your food and not look around. It would be great if the management elevates the ambiance of the restaurant by having some kind of detailed cleaning on the schedule, maybe assigning tasks after hours/ before opening??. This place rocks. The food was great. They have what looks like a simple menu but packed full of punch. You can pretty much order anything you want any way you want. How in the world does this place have 4 stars the food is disgusting. Honestly I wouldn't feed this to my dog. The restaurant is also very unclean and the food is slopped in the burrito in the same way one would feed hogs. This place should be condemned. That moment when a restaurant's name makes sense! You can actually grab these burritos and eat them on the go without making a mess. I don't really know how the friendly staff do it but it's definitely appreciated. You can choose from their signature menu items or just make your selections a la Chipotle. There are some nutritious choices like fresh spinach and quinoa, but also the standards like queso and sour cream. The chips are perfect and there's a salsa bar with several choices. I've been a few times and it's always been crowded and a little chaotic but it's worth it. If it's too loud for you as it is for me, it's actually adjacent to a lovely park with plenty of tables and Adirondack chairs, complete with a fountain and plenty of room for kiddos to run. Food was good! I had a burrito. The service was not that good. I asked for the burrito to be "wet" , (covered in cheese) & for a side of chips. And got neither. I felt like the employees are rushing you to the point that they are not listening well and missing ingredients and parts of the order that are important to you. The food was great! I especially liked the Korean Beef tacos and steak burritos...I loved the vibe in the restaurant, HOWEVER, the top deck which is why we went there was absolutely filthy! I was pretty sad..I have gone to many restaurants and in different countries, and the top deck which has the view and outside area was the worst I have ever seen..there was salsa spilled on chairs all over the self service trash can, floors, trash like napkins and receipts strewn around and just dirt on the tables..we ate there and enjoyed it and I almost volunteered to clean it..I will go back but maybe just take it home..such a shame..really disappointed hope they do a good cleaning..am I do understand it's outside..but this was bad. read more

My wife works at Catawba College and I lucky we live in Winston-Salem because I would probably gain 25 pounds if I was close to Go Burrito. I love the concepts of being able to make your own burritos or choosing one of the inventive ones from their list. I had The Ernie. It came with french fries inside. On the one hand that seems wrong, but it tastes so right. And, honestly, they are just potatoes which I have had in burritos before. But still. Heard great things about here, so I thought I'd try it. Ordered online a to go order, then called them to ask if they would separate the nachos, from the meat, cheese, and everything else so they wouldn't get soggy by the time I got home and they said no, that they would have to charge me for everything singularly. Never had someone tell me they wouldn't. So got it as is. Got there 2 minutes early and it was already sitting and waiting. Got home and of course the chips were soggy. There was a lot of food, but the bottom where the chips were was soaked in oil. Would probably be good if you went in to sit and eat. read more

I got a chicken burrito like always, the initial scoops of chicken were good 2 full scoops, so I asked for it to be heavy (extra protein) I assume paying 2 extra dollars for chicken it would match the initial scoops, it definitely did not. Since I already had dinner a block away, I came here for the rum bar on the 2nd level. Being a rum snob, among other things, I figured this place would be a good end to the evening before heading back to the hotel. I walked through the Go Burrito on the 1st level, and headed upstairs to the 2nd level. The 3rd level was closed since it had been storming earlier in the evening. I found a seat at the bar and after looking at the menu and seeing mostly low end rums (Bacardi, Myers, Malibu) in their tropical drinks, I just asked the bartender to show me his best rums. I settled on the North Carolina-made rum (Queen Charlotte's Reserve), and had him make me a Cuba libre while watching MNF. It was a decently made drink, although it could have used more lime. I would have loved to see a larger variety of rums in a so-called rum bar, but it is a small town afterall. It's not the same Rum Bar in Key West. The price was very reasonable, so I can't complain too much. Overall, I would have liked to have seen more tiki or craft cocktails on the menu. I know they are maybe going for a more casual vibe but people still appreciate quality most times. Most drinks on the menu seemed to be of the tropical variety with a handfull of ingredients thrown together without much thought or care for presentation. Or even designed for college students or fresh grads that don't know the difference between Bacardi and Myer's, except for the color. Check out the men's restroom on the 2nd level though. I've only been once, while visiting on vacation, but it was pretty amazing. A great, casual, island-themed hybrid (convenient like fast food, but better quality and atmosphere) restaurant with great, flavorful, food at reasonable prices. We were there for lunch, but I understand that they also have evening festivities up on the third-floor rooftop. That would be pretty cool. The San Diego steak Burrito was very good. I've always been more of a fan of potatoes instead of rice in my burritos, so even though they use fries, they are lightly coated and seasoned and every bit like the "home fry" style you might put into a potato burrito. There are a bunch of menu items I hope to try on future visits, but it will be hard to pass on the San Diego! The chips and queso were about the best I've ever had - and I'm a bit picky, often judging Mexican and Tex-Mex places based on their chips and salsa/queso. I've learned that the owner of Go Burrito also owns the new Waters Edge lakeside restaurant a few miles outside of town. We also tried that place and it was equally as great. If staying, or passing through Salisbury, be sure to try one or both of these casual, fun, TASTY places! read more

I love GoBo but was really disappointed on this trip. Normally the staff is super friendly and helpful but tonight that was not the case. My boyfriend and I ordered from the girl taking orders, she was nice as well as the girl at the register. After placing our order it got passed down the line to the guy wearing a beanie. He touched his beanie with his gloves on and then touched the food at least 4 times without changing them before we even ordered. I asked for extra onions on my burrito and apparently this guy didn't like that so he decided to complain to his coworker in front of me and said "she got a burrito with extra onions because she's special" in a very sarcastic salty tone. I'm sorry I asked for something extra and would have paid extra for it had there been an extra charge that's totally fine not an issue at all. The issue is the poor attitude of the guy wearing a beanie. I work in the food/customer service industry myself and understand it can be stressful to have lots of customers in line and have a really busy night but to complain about a customer in front of them is just rude, next time wait until someone is outside to complain about their order that they are paying for. read more

I used to love this place and i hadnt been in a while. I went last night and im so disappointed. I wasted $20 on a burrito with chips and queso with a drink. Gave me a tea spoon of queso for $5 with a million chips... didnt even eat a 1/4 of the chips before i had no queso was not worth $5. The burrito was the most bland meal ive been served in idk how long. I had it loaded up with toppings a chipotle sauce and it tasted like rice and tortilla. My family and I use to love gobo. However we visited this evening and the folks that were on the line making our order were rude. When you give someone the last of the cilantro lime sourcream that isn't even a complete serving of it do the favor and go ahead and complete the serving when you change the bottle. Incredible food and service--it just isn't a visit to Salisbury without a trip to GOBO. I went to college in Salisbury, but it took me WAY too long to visit Go Burrito. After eating there for the first time, I came back THREE nights in a row with friends! Craziness. But this place rocks. I alternate between ordering a burrito, a quesadilla, and nachos. Sometimes it's hard to decide--but every outcome is always delicious. The ingredients are fresh and tasty, and the queso is perfection. They always stuff your burrito with plenty of ingredients. I'm especially impressed by their chicken. It doesn't have the rubbery texture that I get at other chains (*cough* Moe's *cough*). If you're overwhelmed by the options, be sure to check out their specialty burritos. The Burritohead is heavenly. Another great aspect of Go Burrito is their RumBar. Tasty drinks and fair prices. They also do trivia and karaoke nights there--both are fun to partake in and watch. Now that I've graduate and moved away, I have serious Go Burrito withdrawals. My husband and I always stop in when we can, even if we're headed to Charlotte. I am desperately hoping they expand to the Raleigh/Durham area in the future. Line is always either at/out the door during lunch. Line moved fairly quickly, about 20 minutes. My friend ordered the Greek burrito and the worker got irritated when my friend pointed out that the burrito had spinach on it and she had not put it on there. I got the hula burrito, naked, with chicken instead of pork, and no rice. It was delicious! Will definitely get it again. As always, the salsa bar was rockin.
