Casa Grande is located in Salisbury, NC in the same vicinity as the Hampton Inn. Service was not great from the start. Food came out quickly but after that, I didn't see the server for a while. I had to flag down another server to take care of the check. The Burrito California with beef was just okay. At least the chips and salsa were complimentary. We just moved to town and discovered Casa Grande staying at Hampton Inn. Servers, owners and bartenders are wonderful and super attentive. The menu has a wide variety of dishes from simple and small portions to larger and more complex flavors. There is something for everyone! We love the queso and fresh pico de gallo. Well my husband and I stopped at Hampton Inn and found this restaurant and were craving margaritas! So we both ordered a house margarita which was in a dispenser churning around. Needless to say they were not good super sour. I hated to ask but I did request that we switch for a beer. She asked the manager who must have agreed and was very nice about it. Really good food! We came on Cinco de Mayo; and for it to be really busy we still got very good service. It was understandable of how busy it was. They did get mixed up on our food in the back, but the server handled the mixup very quickly. He brought out our drinks, food, chips, and boxes all out in a timely manner. The food was fresh and hot! The server added a $4 tip to my balance with out my permission... My balance was $13.68 which was what I signed on my copy of the receipt, (there was no party either, just me and my date). We each paid for our own meal and he said he'd pay for the tip. A few days later when I was checking my bank I noticed an entry that I didn't recognize.... Been to casa grande in Kannapolis many times and it's always been wonderful. Decided to stop in here with my family and it couldn't have been worse. Our waiter was inattentive and acted bothered when we asked for a high chair, and then after a 25-minute wait our food was cold. Not "not hot" but ice cold. I came here with my mother for lunch in the middle of a day of errands. The service was prompt and atmosphere ok. I ordered a bean burrito with rice and beans and my mom ordered a beef enchilada and shrimp with beans. When the food arrived I was brought a beef burrito. My mother received shrimp and rice with tortillas. Neither we're what we ordered. They promptly removed the items and after a short wait they brought my mother's shrimp and rice, worth tortillas again. The waitress saw they brought tortillas instead of the enchilada and went to fix the issue. Halfway through my mother's meal I received my burrito. The beans were ok but obviously from a can. They didn't put much thought or effort into the burrito. In fact I'd really call it a bean enchilada because that's what I received. After eating we both felt ill. I went to the bathroom and they didn't even have a toilet seat. I don't get to NC often to visit my family but when I do I know I'll never be returning to this establishment. read more

A whole new level of bad. This might not be fair since I'm visiting from LA and we have amazing Mexican food but the food here was SO BAD. I ordered the chili relleno and enchilada and my husband got the nachos. Where I'm from chili relleno is a chili, stuffed with cheese, battered in egg then fried. What I got was awful ground hamburger, mixed with beans, cheese and diced chilies. It was gross. The enchilada was filled with burger and My husbands nachos were soggy chips with the same bland burger. And, since I'm complaining, the toilet tipped forward when I sat down so it felt like I was going to topple off and outside the restaurant smelled like sewer. The end. read more

My favorite mexican place in the area! Glad they came to Salisbury though I do still go to the others on occasion. Great salsa and chips. I get the cheese dip and they have Cheerwine on tap, plus! I get the California steak burrito with white cream sauce on top but it doesnt come that way you have to ask for it or it will have red sauce I think. Casa Grande is not authentic but the Service is great, the food is consistent & my kids love their cheese quesadillas! The menu is pretty cheaply priced. Average Adult is $5-6. The portions were huge and the food was great. We had the chips and pico de gallo and ordered the Quesadilla Fajita with Chicken and Refried Beans, the Botana Camaron (spicy shrimp with onions served over salad) with Rice and Refried Beans, margaritas on the rocks, and a Corona with lime. So I asked politely if I was mistaken that shrimp comes with sauce - she said yes! I'm wrong - they only cook it in the sauce but no sauce is actually giving. Not true! The menu says it comes with a sauce and it's common knowledge it's cooked that way. Well she said it will extra if I wanted that save even tho I originally ordered that dish for that reason. The waiter had an attitude and shrugged his shoulders. We waited an additional 20 minutes. At this point we ask for the manager. We confronted her about our situation. The food is awesome the service no much. My wife called to reserve a table for a birthday party. We were about 15 people. Once we get there we find out that our table was given to somebody else, we have to wait 45-1hr to be seated, the servers took to much time to get our drinks and to order the food we have to call some of the servers AGAIN, after we got our food two people from the party got desperate because their food was taking to much time, and some people got their order wrong. And after all that the manager never stop to apologize for any of the hassle of that night so that's why the whole family decided to do not go to this restaurant again.
