Especially when the car is only a few months old. After it happened, I did what any overly confident dad would do: I went on Amazon and started looking at DIY dent repair kits. For about 10 minutes I was convinced I could absolutely fix this myself. Then reality kicked in. I pictured myself somehow breaking a window, making the dent worse, and turning a small problem into a very expensive life lesson. At that point, my wife practically bowed down and praised my wisdom for *not* attempting the repair. Lol. So I hopped on Yelp and requested a few estimates through the app. Proper PDR was one of the first to respond. Within minutes I had a quote and an appointment scheduled for the following week. Thomas from Proper PDR showed up right on time--actually a little early--and even texted ahead to ask if that was okay. Being early? That's always okay. He greeted me like a true professional and walked me through exactly what he was going to do. He also seemed pretty confident he could get the dent out, which was reassuring considering my backup plan was... well... nothing. About 45 minutes later the dent was completely gone. The car looked like it had just rolled off the assembly line. I paid the agreed price, sent the "after" photos to my wife, and enjoyed the rest of the day knowing I had saved the day without touching a single tool. Proof that sometimes the smartest DIY decision... is not doing it yourself. Dads really are the superheroes of the family. I will definitely be recommending Proper PDR to friends and family if they ever find themselves in the same situation.
