I went today to turn in cans and mainly water bottles. Any other bottles that I had were thoroughly rinsed out since 90% or more or water bottles I wanted the good price after I got paid. I noticed they put contaminated and I questioned the guy and he said oh hold on I'll help you. It's not the owner. It's one of the employees. I don't think I'll ever go back here because same thing happened to a good friend of mine and when you have a lot of plastic, it makes a big difference. I like the place because it's easy to get in and out of and the owner is very pleasant when he's there but if this is the way, the employees are going to conduct business I'll find someplace else to go. I used to always go to stockton recycling because I lived close by. It was so popular you couldn't get in or out you'd be there for an hour or 2. I decided to go down the street to go green. They were extremely rude when we were asking about the bins and which material goes into which bin. Then after we sorted everything in front of the guy ( literally the only people there ) he snatches the bins from us and starts digging through them. He then starts throwing the stuff into a trash can. He then went and weighed it took the can dumped it into there thing. When I got my ticket from the window it said 26 dollars. I came in with my pickup a f250. I was pissed they said take it or leave it my cans were gone already. This place socks 100% read more

There is a website noted on my receipt. ggrecyling.net My first time at this location. The website lists 10 area locations including this site and the other site in Stockton. Which side note the other location in Stockton (Douglas) has two entries on Yelp. Getting in and out of the facility is a breeze. There are entry/exits on both N Sanguinetti Lane as well as Robindale. There were only a few other patrons when I went and one was finishing as I was arriving and the other was coming in as I was finishing. Granted it was a Friday afternoon and the 1st of the month which means everyone was at the bank which I discovered later. Lol. You park. Grab however many wheeled garbage cans you need to separate your items and wheel them over to be weighed. So the service staff were very nice. Two workers that I saw. One weighing the items you bring in and the other processing once the weigh in has been completed. Everything was clean and orderly. There was nothing out of the ordinary to note until my weigh in was completed and I was handed my papers to turn into for my cash. Rates are always variable and I think it's a total waste of technology that these places don't update their prices online on a daily basis. Also it appears that they may have used to utilize street side signage noting the prices but no longer do. Anyway there is a mirrored glass window where you turn in your paperwork and you really can't see anything behind like the Wizard of Oz™ or something. You just hear a voice. Kinda creepy and sketchy. But other than that the process was painless and simple and quick. So I decided to be a good Yelp citizen or consumer advocate and take a few pictures since I noticed that there were non and no listing period on Yelp. After innocently wandering around the public space taking a few pictures to help identify the business some creepy dude come walking out slowly meandering up to me. He asked what I was doing and I politely told him. I asked him if he knew what Yelp was and he didn't. Which is pathetic in my opinion. But since he looked like he actually lived under a rock it also didn't surprise me. I really only say anything about his appearance because of the unfriendly mirrored glass and his attitude. Otherwise I'm not expecting a model type to be working at a recycling facility. He continues to grill me asking why and what. I let him know it's in his favor and help people locate his business and that he isn't even listed. I could have went on about all the free services and opportunities that he could take advantage of that they offer to businesses. But... I don't work for Yelp or him. Just thinking of my fellow consumers. To scare him away I asked if he wanted to be in a picture and he promptly returned towards his crypt behind the mirrored glass. Easy to locate with two entrance/exits. Clean and quick. With a few tweaks in personnel this could be a 4 star place and if they utilized a better system for informing the public about current rates could even be a 5. read more

Apparently there is a fee that they charge to recycle your recyclables. It's not clear exactly what fee is or what it's for--and don't ask because they don't know. They have no idea what you're talking about. Fee? What Fee? There's no fee. Hey Moe, is there a fee? No? No fee? See, no fee. You can try asking one of the higher-ups if you want to hear some obscure reverse logic explaining why you are mistaken. But I've gone down that rabbit hole enough times to be able to tell you that 5 cents per can is just an approximation. The price you actually get is dependent on a lot of other factors, such as: how many can do you have? How clean and shiny are they? To what thickness did you crush them? Do you know the total weight already? Are you good at math? How attentive are you? How naive? Are you a cop?... you know, things like that. So, to save everyone the hassle, just be sure you do all the necessary calculations beforehand and give them a printout of the correct price. They'll really appreciate it. They really love it when you record them with your video phone too. They will sometimes even waive the non-existent non-fee that they don't not have as a show of gratitude for your preparedness. If you're not the type to do this, then you can take your stupid cans elsewhere, jerk! Pretty quick in n out. You usually have to separate everything in their green containers before they weigh it. I pack my cans and plastic bottles pretty good and separated already so they just weigh my stuff I'm the bags I bring them in. Saves me a bunch of time and I don't get messy having to pour everything into their containers. read more

UNPROFESSIONAL, BAIT & SWITCH LIARS!!!!! I wish I had seen the other reviews on here before I went there. I would give them 0 stars if I could. They didn't list the current prices for aluminum on their website so I called (as their website says to do). The guy on the phone told me they paid $2.00/pound. When I got there they only paid me $1.59. I told the guy what I was told on the phone and he said I had to have a coupon for that price. When I explained that was not told to me and I would have gone elsewhere had I known, he just shrugged his shoulders and very rudely said, "oh well, you have to have a coupon". I will never go there again. Should have gone to Stockton Recycling on Waterloo Road. They are a lot further away from me, but I've never had a problem there. read more

After many horrible trips to several recycling centers and back door grocery recycling centers where the employees are on their cell phones and look annoyed when you pull up with a large load of cans, I found this gem. Went there today.. felt i got cheated, but its ok.. first tiMe and last time. First 3 buckets of cans weight was 17.. the last 3 cans was exactly the same as the first, however it had more crushed cans within the cans. I turned in my recycle and was then told I would have to wait 30 minutes to get my $ Some had to go to the bank and get cash. They should have been prepared for business before they opened. The sign says they close at 4:45pm mon-fri. The answering machine says they close at 5pm mon-fri. We went there 10 mins before 4:45, and they already closed their gates... even asking an employee about the closing time, they said they were closed. This place needs to get their customer service and closing times straight. read more

Cannot say enough about the cleanliness and honesty at this location. Recycling facilities tend to attract a lot of people with poor hygiene and poor character, but this place has done a great job with dealing with this problem. I've become a regular, and Go Green has always treated me with respect and has taken the extra effort to assist me with the entire process. I've also seen their management deal with obnoxious people on multiple occasions. It's upsetting that the customers are careless towards the effort put in by the employees to maintain a clean and professional environment for all. This place closes whenever it wants. I pulled up at 4:38 to drop off my recycling and the gate was closed. Called the guy on the phone and he lied about his closing time sarcastically saying, "I close at 4:40, I know what time I close. He then abrasively instructed me to check google. I checked google and it says the business closes at 4:45. I also checked Yelp and Apple and both of them say Go Green closes at 5:00. I called back and the guy all of the sudden changed his story saying that it's been a long day, he's been there since 6am, and him and his guys are tired. Oh my gosh! Why do so many people pull the sympathy card now a days?? Too bad if the owner is hot & tired that's his JOB!! I work all day too so sometimes coming near closing time is the only option. Talked to the State of California and they have informed me that they will be completing an inspection of all the facilities, I love it when the state actually does what they are supposed to do. I have also went back once to check on the problems from the last visit and they are still happening so again went to a different center and was surprised when I was given almost $20 more than what I was offered at this joke of a place but hey thats just my opinion. read more

So I go here often. Not because I want to but because it is convenient. Usually the money goes to gas for the truck that only gets about 10mpg. But something fishey is going down cuz lately I have been taking in the same amount of cans but getting significantly less. I used to get like $40 but now I am lucky to $25. That is an outrage. Update: State of California told me that they issued a citation because they refused to pay by count on 5/18/16. Chances are they will get many more citations. You MAY (your choice) have them COUNT your beverage containers...even if it is the minimum required. You will get back more $$ for the recyclables that are counted. Then they also can't rip you off for the weight. But...if you have a large amount of recycling it is a matter of convenience...you pay for convenience and you will get much less. I brought in 50 cans, 50 bottles and 50 plastic and they refused to count them. This is against state law. I reported them. Remember they MUST pay you by count if you ask...up to 50 **EACH** of cans, bottles and plastic per day. Well...unless they break the law : / So...for example, if you bring in 150 containers consisting of 50 cans, 50 bottles, and 50 plastic then they have to accept all of them at that moment and pay you by count. That is $10 if you have 50 cans, 50 bottles and 50 large (24 ounce or larger) plastic! 5¢ for most glass bottles, plastic bottles, and aluminum cans less than 24 ounces. *** 10¢ for equal to 24 ounces and larger containers *** the $.10 will be mostly larger plastic like 2 liter bottles...but anything 24 ounces and larger gets $.10 each. Again, photos and videos are recommended for this business. When they refuse to pay you by count, call 1-800 RECYCLE or (916) 323-3836 and report them. Try to video from your phone also. read more

The overly excited employee talking to a young girl may have been a distraction and gave the funds to her or he pocketed the funds himself. Make sure ALL of your bins are on your receipt. Make sure ALL of the price-per-pound are correct. They scam me EVERYTIME I go here. Sick of it. This last time was the last straw, brought in about 200 pounds of glass, (among other things) then get half way home before my son pointed out there was no glass on my receipt.
