We drove here in the middle of the day because their website states that they take e-waste...THEY DON'T. When we arrived in front this business, it was so dirty and disgusting and crawling with filthy people that I refused to even drive in. I parked on the street and made the person I was with walk up and get in line... 30 minutes later the rude, ill-mannered employee advised him he could not take our e-waste. This business is clearly a front for thieves who steal copper wire and anything else they can get their hands on to make a few quick bucks. I never even walked over the threshold of this "establishment" and I had to drive directly home and shower. Yes, if you arrive 5 minutes before closing, they may be closing the gate. If I had been at work and nobody had been there for an hour- I would start closing so I could leave as soon as closing time. That is what happens when you wait until last minute. Their prices are fair and have never had any issues with rude employees. If you encounter that, maybe don't judge based on one visit. We all have bad days. I only go here. Best prices in Lodi in my opinion. read more

The owner is discriminative and judgemental, very unprofessional. He is rude, and dismissive, like dinner people's recycling is better than others, when it's all the same. He refused to accept my pallets or any of my recycling just because my ex boyfriend used to work there. So because I knew someone who used to work there I'm not allowed to turn my recycling in like every other ordinary person? What kind of professional businessmen makes other people suffer for something someone else did. I've always been respectful and I've even fixed his plumbing for cheap and even free once! If you know somewhere else to recycle id go there cause at least you're business is appreciated just as much as everyone else's. read more

I'll sum it up by saying very bad business practices. I gathered all of my recycling, even taking the time to sort and bag it up in categories, to do the so called right thing for the environment. I arrived at Tokay Recycling Center at 4:18 P.M. to find a very unfriendly employee closing the gate. I told him it was not quite 4:30 yet, as that is the closing time listed online.. He then acknowledged that it was 4:18 PM. and contunued to close the gate and pretend that I was not there and that our encounter never happened. He then yelled out to come back tomorrow. Clearly, he thinks that he is working for the only recycling center in the county. I would give the recycling away before I ever bring it here. This place is a perfect example of very poor business. If zero stars was an option, that would have been a more accurate rating. read more

Came 10 minutes before closing and they shhs us away..like really with the hours already being cut due to the virus, you would think businesses would stay open to the last minute. Closing at 4:30 is hard enough for the majority of us that work 9-5. We definitely won't be going back to this place. read more

Nice staff. Offers better pricing than any other recycling center in Lodi. Easily dump your bottles and other recycling material into sorters and they are electronically weighed. Very fast service. read more

I used to this place but recently the owner has been a huge jerk. I would bring all kinds of scrap metal, aluminum, plastics - the usual. Mind you, this place hires extremely sketchy workers and the facility is always dirty with trash and miscellaneous junk that people leave and the employees don't clean. I've been here numerous times and received nothing but dirty looks from the owner. I had it with him. I have been coming here for over 6 months now and the only thing he has ever said was, 'What da ya got?' with an attitude. First time I went there they ran my recycling, never gave me the weight of the product. I called last week when our store got a large donation of brass. The guy offered me .50 cents/LB. I got $2/LB at Alco Metals in Stockton. read more

I had a fine experience here. Showed up to drop off a broken tv the place was clean and the two men that helped me were very pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful. I will for sure come back again for any electronic items or things outside the regular recycle bin. read more

I went to Tokay Recycling yesterday and i was met by a gentleman named Red and he was a very professional man. I was pulling a trailer with recyclable material in it. He showed where to park and backed me up where to park in the newly painted parking stalls. I told Red it was my first time there and he explained how everything worked. He brought out bins i filled them up and he weighted the bins,Then we filled out the paper work and i was out of there.I would go back there again and would tell everybody to go there. Joe Joe. This is not something I do everyday and the owner was very rude and treated me like I was some kind of crack head dirt bag. I have only taken cans and bottles for recycling and the occasional tv/monitor for e-waste, but I have been going for years. I am extremely pleased with the recent changes, they have made a huge effort to clean up and keep the facility clean, which is hard to do when you are a recycling center. The employees are pleasant and helpful and it is usually pretty quick. There are busier times, such as when they first open and right at noon, but if you go closer to 1:00 there isn't usually much of a line. read more

I was there in early 2016 and was defrauded by the young man who was handling the recycled aluminum cans. After dumping the last of my cans into the receptacles they provide, I took my bags back to my vehicle. Upon my return, the scale weight total had been zeroed and I still had product to be weighed. Their website lists specific items such as printers, cell phones, monitors, etc. that they will accept, however when we drove an hour to drop off these exact items we were turned away. No, it wasn't even close to closing time. If they are not going to accept certain items, they should not list them. Beware! Coming here could be a waste of your time! read more
