I contacted Go Handyman to build and install a simple wooden clothesline on my property. Initially I felt good about working with Casey and his team based on the positive reviews and the promptness to which I received a quote. However, as time went on I felt less and less confident. Emails were friendly, but unprofessional - not addressing some of the specifications/concerns I had. Prior to this project I had done extensive research about this type of installation and knew we had to get the OK from the city/utilities before digging (811). When I mentioned that to Casey he agreed, But scheduled the install date without having done that. I had to follow up with him via email and was told that I should probably make the arrangements with 811 myself. In an effort to keep things moving I went ahead and filed a ticket with 811 online, but I feel that this is something that Go Handyman should've taken care of when the quote was approved. Casey also didn't make the arrangements to come take a look at the property before the installation date which also felt odd. It ended up raining on the installation day and I had to end up calling him to reschedule since I hadn't heard anything. When we did reschedule for the following week he never came. I left a disapproving voicemail and didn't end up hearing from him until the next day via email and the excuse was that he hadn't seen my email confirming the day and time and that he had his days mixed up. Completely unprofessional. So much time was wasted waiting for this project to happen and now I have to find someone else and go through the whole process again. Overall, a very disappointing experience, a waste of time, and would not recommend. read more
