I'm a lover of immersive art experiences, but maybe there's a thin line between "immersive art experience" and "selfie museum" and I went in expecting too much of the former. Me and the fam were in Boston for the weekend and my sister really wanted to go to this. The women in my family also love selfies wayyy more than I do, lol. Plus, it's 12 rooms so I figured there had to be a good variety or creativity in there. The positives: -Staff is amazing and super-friendly. They deserve all the glowing reviews. -The first 2 rooms are pretty amazing and well thought-out/detailed. -One of the rooms is a cute little photo shoot option with boxing gloves and rose petals, set up by a staff member, and they give you a commemorative, physical photo. We were on a family trip so this was kind of meaningful. -The QR code they give you to scan for pics in each room that are accessible through a link emailed to you is a pretty neat concept that should be incorporated in more experiences like this. The negatives: -$30 a pop. Not worth it. I've been to way better, more creative, IMMERSIVE art experiences for less. -After the first 2 awesome rooms, the other 10 are very low-effort with minimal creativity. Almost like they gave up. It's like they took their ideas from Snapchat filters and made a room out of it. One room quite literally just adds a pair of goofy lips to your face in like a 5 second video. Another, is just a recording of you dancing next to a giant polar bear. I guess I just like my photography to make sense, or for there to be some kind of central theme. - Half the rooms have animated screens as backdrops, but as we all know, when you get close to a computer screen with a cell phone camera, the pixels show up pretty grainy if you get too close. So while some of the screens looked cool, that coolness didn't transfer to the phone pic, which, since this is a selfie museum, seems like a gross oversight. -One of the rooms has a giant inflatable mouth that you're NOT ALLOWED TO GO INSIDE. But of course, that's the one thing you'd WANT to do in that room. I say, pass on this one. read more

Best indoor activity with preteens EVER! They are on their phones all day anyway...why not cut them a little slack and give them carte blanche to be take silly selfies and have a good time?! Fun for adults, too! The DJ room is blasting with dance-worthy tunes and all the great backdrops inspire you to let your inner character show. Even if you're shy and have doubts this is the place to explore your wild side, be who you and what you want to be, from a model, actresses, anchor or just pretending you're filthy rich in the piano room. Honestly, it was overall a great experience. My friends and I were running late and tried calling ahead of time to reschedule but weren't getting connected to anyone so we decided to just go and use the time we did have left. When we got there, the staff was exceptionally nice. The lady at the desk explained that they didn't have an actual number yet but they try to check the voicemails left when possible, it had just been too busy at that time-- which is understandable. Although we were late, they were gracious enough to allow us to walk in when we were ready and get the full hour to experience all of the rooms! The rooms were beautiful and in every room, there was someone there that explained the set up and suggested popular poses and video ideas in order to make the best use of the cameras in the room. We were given a card with a QR code that we could use to take touchless photos --which was perfect for COVID times. There was no limit to how little or how much you could use the touchless cameras in the rooms but we mostly used our phones to take pictures. We did use the QR code touchless cameras to take pictures and videos of us all together, just for laughs and giggles. And we received the email with the link of all the pictures/videos we took really quickly--no wait! There was music, which set a chill vibe; and having the opportunity to reenact different scenarios--like running away from an explosion or dancing with leprechauns--made us laugh and let the pictures we took seem more natural than awkwardly posed. I would definitely recommend this as an outing with friends--even the ones who don't normally like taking pictures--because it's a cool experience that allows you to make jokes and genuinely enjoy your time while capturing memories. read more

This was a cute experience, but mainly for lil kids and teens. A few of the 12 room themes were just too corny for adults. Cute concept tho. Isaiah was a great representative, pleasant, knowledgeable and a people person. It's easy to scan your souvenir card for each themed room, which will record what you and your team decide to act out, which is then available at the end, by a link texted to you. I like that you get ALL of your recordings and you can also take your own selfies. $20 would have been a better price tho. read more

We came out for a girls night out and we had such a great time. We could not stop laughing and taking videos. We enjoyed every room, especially Vibes Airlines! This is a definite must-do if you want to get out of the house and shake your quarantine blues away. The staff were super friendly and made our experience a great one. We also loved the fact that the staff were following CDC Guidelines and sanitizing the rooms after us for the next group. read more

I'm not gonna lie, I was a little skeptical about a "selfie museum" but I ended up being super impressed with the whole experience. As an artist I thought the installations were actually really dope and creative. The whole vibe was very entertaining and also it's a really fun Covid-safe activity! 10 of 10 recommend!!! read more

So much fun! Endless amounts of photos and videos, you have to be considerate of the group in front and behind you and in each room there is sanitizer. They give you one free hard copy photo the rest is sent to your email almost immediately. It is a pop up glad I found them as far as I know they will be open till 3/28/21 at Cambridgeside place second level right in the mall if your looking for things to do in/around Boston. read more
