It requires the Uber driver to drive all the way around and the up because of the hills. The cost is still cheap, but I do feel bad. The service here is impeccable. Everyone is nice and helpful. The rooms aren't super grand, but that shower room is by far the biggest one I have visited. Love the water pressure and the feeling of the place. The hallway between the rooms is wide and that makes it being noiseless - unless you are on the first floor. Then you have to deal with cars driving by. Hope you don't get those rooms. Unfortunately I did. I ignored most of it since I was dead tired. I was staying here while the national soccer team took the whole third floor so the executive lounge was pushed to the lobby. It's a relaxing area, but no views . The location is close to the wineries and walkable across the bridge to the city. It's not a bad walk if you're okay with inclines. Love the place. The breakfast area is huge. They have an omelette station and they have 5 types of juice, sparkling wine, and sausage, and bread, and bacon, and fresh fruits. They have a good selection for breakfast. I am sure you'll have a good fill up before heading out.

I spent a lot of time in the Turkish bath type steam room, there are a couple of cold water shower heads to cool you off if it gets too hot. I loved that it got that hot that I had to cool myself down a few times. I needed that heat to sooth my sore muscles. Also the water pressure in the hotel is great! The waterfall shower head was just that felt like a waterfall on your head! So lovely. The rooms ore nice and modern. Breakfast was included which was ok. There's a large variety nothing really stood out as very special but the fruits were nice and ripe and there were a bunch of different pastries. To find the spa you need to find elevator 8 and take it to -1 they open at 9am and close at 8pm. I lost track of time and they had to tell me it was closing.

Hubby and I arrived first because we took an earlier train from Lisbon. Initially, the other two rooms were on the same floor and ours was on a separate floor so I asked if it was possible for us to at all be together on the same floor, if not all of the rooms could be next to each other. They ended up upgrading us to a really nice suite! It had a little terrace you could open up and a separate sitting area. Lucky for us! Not so lucky for the other two rooms. Though their rooms were nice too, just not as spacious. Here are some of the pros/cons of our stay: Pros: -Spacious and clean rooms -Nice public sitting area outside of the suite rooms, where we could meet up before heading out -Mini fridge with bottled water and Coca Cola -Each floor has a different theme, which I thought was really cool. You'll see a different scent-themed decor (and smell) for each. For example, one floor was coffee, another was chili, and another was star anise -Very reasonably prices. We booked through Hotels.com and paid maybe about ​​€110 per night, including taxes -Great location! It's right in the center of Porto and most of the tourist attractions and good restaurants are 5-10 minute walk away -Huge bathroom with his and hers sinks and plenty of space underneath for your toiletries -Comfortable beds/pillows. Highly recommend Pestana Porto. Might be one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Europe!
