The new wolf figurine with an old horse hair vase
Jared N.

I've been to this shop in Boulder City several times but I think today was the first time I actually bought anything. I usually just come in and check out the cool little trinkets. Today, though, I saw some horse hair pottery stuff that somewhat matches a horse hair vase that I glazed several years ago. So when I saw a wolf in the collection, I knew I needed it. Actually, I was hoping they would have a horny toad figurine as I had one previously until it broke. The wolf is nice though. And it displays better than a low lying lizard anyhow. There were two wolf figures that I saw. I went back and forth between them a few of times before settling on the one I bought. It had a little less horse hair than the other so was not as dark. Thats why I chose it. But I actually liked the carvings on the other better. The contrast between hair and clay is what won the day. I was greeted by the four people I saw working here today. They were each friendly and jovial. Don't let the customer ahead of me sway your opinion. He had a bone to pick with the cashier as she would not negotiate on the price of a blanket. Nor would she waive the tax. How dare she uphold the integrity of the business. He asked for another cashier to ring him up. LoL. We had a chuckle about it when I stepped up to the counter and told her I would let her ring me up. So next time your are cruising the shops in Boulder City, be sure to check out the Western and Mexican Center. Tell them the guy in the Grumpy shirt sent you. It won't get them to waive the tax but you might get a smile.

So many great items. We bought a beautiful vintage sterling ring. Walked amongst some great items from Mexico. If space wasn't so limited I would have come home with some lovely garden decoration. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Those place is loaded from floor to ceiling. You can't not find something to bring home.

Great place! The selection there for stones, & other things are pretty good. I was able to find some stones, a stone that's shaped into a frog, & some other things at this establishment! The value for everything is also inexpensive, making it affordable for those on a budget! Great place to shop.

There was himself and a cashier/clerk. So i imagine they all needed to go do this??? NOT! At about the same time a white couple walked in and started looking around (no mention to them about going outside). So i gathered my girls, as i continued to look at things in the cases.. taking my time, had girls choose what they wanted, paid and left. Should never give a person like this your money since he thinks people of color would always steal from them. Their loss, i was looking at signs etc i wanted but wouldn't give him more than my $21 i spent, and even that was too much after that experience. Only gave the one star because your required to.
