This place used to be absolutely FANTASTIC. I would go here weekly, spend a good bit of $$ (almost, and up to $100) as part of my weekend routines. New ownership took over, tariffs kicked in, and the prices are absolutely outrageous. Not only that, but poor selection also compared to previously. The lady at the front explained the previous owners made no money, and the new ones raised the prices. That it's not even necessarily due to the tariffs, but the owners. Besides that, she's been rude, with a smug attitude every time I've went there. I never give negative reviews like this, unless it's necessary. With that being said, we will 1000% not be going back there again, and it's super unfortunate... :( read more

This place ain't to bad. It houses some of the best rated cigar and has quiet a variety. You can also get pipe tobacco here which is really cool due to alot of places dont have it. They have an assortment of flavors, probably around 25 different flavors. You can also purchase your cutters, lighters , or whatever your smoking needs. Once you get your cigar or pipe tobacco of your liking they have a small smoking lounge inside the building which has couches and chairs and a TV. The vents are very powerful and such the smoke out real well! You can also buy a membership which consists of your personal cigar cubbies which have built in humidors. read more

This is definitely going to be my sure-fire stop every weekend for all my cigar needs! They have a good selection with very reasonable prices. I saw OpusX Angel's Share for $18! They also carry all accessories needed for both pipes and cigars, along with a variety of pipe tobaccos. They have a nice little lounge with a TV for the football games on the weekends. It can get crowded but the ventilation prevents things from getting too Smokey. Once I get my car up here you can bet I'll be here every weekend, if not more! read more

Came in from Boston to do some training at the hospital in Jacksonville. Found Godfather Cigars and spent 3 plus hours there. Great place to meet new people. The service is outstanding. Eddie the owner is as friendly and generous a host as you could expect. I agree with the other reviewer about cleanliness, and selections. Prices are right in line and you can go from the most pricey of sticks to the lower end, and still get quality. I'm also a pipe smoker and associated with a major pipe smoking club in the U.S. based out of Boston. Eddie has a fine selection of tobaccos and pipes. He doesn't push new customers to the expensive stuff, but rather urges them to find the tobacco they like and buy a corn cob to try it. As they grow into the hobby he advises them to the better briars and meerschaums. When I come back this way, Godfather Cigars is where you'll find me if I'm not working. read more

If you smoke cigars this is the only place to go in the Jacksonville area. Its clean, the owner Eddy is extremely welcoming, the selection is amazing, and the smoking room is comfortable and large. Pass all the roadside tobacco shops and go to Godfather Cigars. To give you an idea of the customer service level I stopped in one evening when I first got to J'ville, I chatted with the owner very briefly, the second time in there he greeted me by name and made me feel as if I had been coming in for years. If you have been to a number cigar shops you know that is a rare experience. The customer base in the lounge is great and its easy to strike up conversation with complete strangers while enjoying a nice stick. The humidor is absolutely Huge!!! Selection is vast, and there are plenty of accessories as well as pipes and pipe tobacco. They often host events with raffles and giveaways, I was lucky enough to attend the Drew Estate event while I was here and it was awesome. I cannot say enough good things about Godfather Cigars!!!!
