Service was extremely welcoming and it feels like an extra indulgence while doing Christmas shopping at Harrods! The white chocolate chilled chocolixir was decadent, creamy and delicious, and my friend loved her dark chocolate one! I wish there was a Godiva cafe near where I lived but I would be so tempted and gain so much weight. We only ordered the chocolixirs but other things that caught our eye were the fondue, pastries and the truffles. True chocolate heaven is here at Harrods Godiva Cafe! Stopped in at the Godiva Cafe for dessert and tea this afternoon. Ambiance is great...the restaurant is really pretty and clean. Service is excellent...our server was friendly and our food came out quickly. Food itself is just okay. The chocolate cake was definitely not worth the price (11.50) and my daughter pronounced her Freakshake just okay. My gunpowder tea was excellent. Overall this place is very expensive and really should only get 3 stars, but our server was so fantastic that I bumped my review up to 4. read more

Holy shiz this place is seriously cray. Yeah girl you bet I said that. I brought my parents here and it turned them into crazies! They usually don't order massive desserts in the middle of the afternoon but my dad got the craziest one on the menu! It was this massive banana ice cream present wrapped up in crepe form and tied with chocolate! Does it get any better? I'm not sure. The man ate the entire thing, and that's saying something because he doesn't eat much. I only got one little taste! And my mom ordered fondu! Say what!? I ordered the Chocolixer which was like a chocolate milk shake. My dad looked at me and said "That's it??". What's gotten into these people!? So I guess what I've gathered from this place is the Godiva Cafe turns even the most reasonable adults into complete children that have eyes bigger than their bellies... though that's also not true because they ate everything. I had the chicken and mushroom crepe. It turns out that this is an OK crepe with a couple of mushrooms and 1 small piece of chicken filled with Tesco's chicken and mushroom thick soup. So, it tastes like Tesco's chicken and mushroom soup but costs £18.50 (excluding the mandatory service charge). Save yourself £20 by going to Tesco and getting the 50p can of soup if this is what you are really after. read more

Great place to park the worn-out husband while shopping at Harrods. Coffee, comfortable seats, chocolate in every form imaginable, and the first place I've found in a week of travel in England and France that served ice in a glass with a Diet Coke without asking for it. This review is only based on the chocolate fondue! The atmosphere is very nice and the people are friendly. We ordered the classic milk chocolate fondue and while we were happy with the plentiful toppings (fresh strawberries and bananas, but the croissants were stale and the marshmallows were oddly crusty), the fondue itself was very thin and lukewarm. Turns out, it's a "melted ganache," but it still just seemed like chocolate milk. In the US, fondue is typically very hot and thick. It was pretty bad. I definitely recommend trying something other than the fondue if you come here! read more

The first time I came here was in Feburary after a bad interview. Perfect place for a lift me up! Was greeted to a nice, spacious, white decor cafe and I knew I was in good hands. I browsed the delectable menu and chose the Citrus and Passion fruit dome - citrus and acidic fruit from all around the world. Fluffy yuzu marshmallow, lemon mousse, passion fruit and orange jelly, encased Godiva milk chocolate and served with Mango compote and a Hot Dark Chocolixir - three indulgent layers: warm chocolate ganache, steamed milk and milk foam. Sheer delight, felt like I was on cloud 9, the citrus dome was magnificent, probably the best little dessert I have had in such a long time! Cut it through with my fork gently and all the layers sat perfectly, sheer amazement, the yuzu is a great match with the passion fruit, a sense of sweet and sour. The hot chocolate was pure heaven, presented in a tall glass, looks a bit heavy on the palate, but its actually not! Very comforting during the winter months! Highly recommended. I brought a group of friends the second time and opted for the Godiva Tourbillon Warm Chocolate Fondant - a cocoa rich cake with a Godiva Tourbillon 85 chocolate baked inside for a melt-in-the mouth experience, served with a vanilla bean ice cream. Whilst shopping in Harrods with my close friends or family, I have a few times managed to get lost and find myself going here after the first impressive window display of many chocolate pastries and handmade pieces. The first time I was here, I decided to rebel against the chocolate theme and get a caramel banana crêpe. This was impressive and light, not to sweet and the banana gave the overall dish just the extra bit of freshness to balance the caramel. The next few times I have visited I have ended up being a sheep in the herd and ordered something very chocolatey. I am a psychotic victim of white chocolate. Knowing how unhealthy it is out of the three possible types chocolate, it has always been my weakness. Therefore I have opted since for a white chocolate flavoured dish since visiting here. The last one I had was one of their chocolexir cool shakes. A more chocolatey interpretation of a milkshake, the authentic chocolate and perfectly thick consistency of the drink makes it a good option when sitting down and cooling off from all that shopping. She never checked on us to see how we were doing. In my opinion she was judging us and yes we are tourists but we are also paying customers who are not poor.
