Also, tomorrow is the last day of Vacation Bible School (VBS) from 9am-12pm! It's completely free, and there will be a water slide for the kids. The interior of the temple, has been created with loving energy and has prayer spaces inside, that gives out a pervading feeling of peace. I also occasionally go there on Friday nights just to meditate & pray. When I attend Sunday Services, I have noticed the service "type" changes depending on which Sunday, it is of the month. The speakers come from all religions, backgrounds & faiths. This includes: American Indian, Greek Mythology, Hindu, Buddhist, Wiccan, etc. Each Sunday you learn about a new Woman "empowerment figure" which is someone we can feel proud of. The message is multi-platformed with practical messages to help improve yourself and your families lives. This includes relationship / dating discussions, holistic health, caring for the environment, and ways to help your family. It also has guided, relaxing, meditation with incense blown on you with a feather, to help release any baggage from the week ... I feel spoiled. Being there, gives a feeling of camaraderie with other women, a feeling of peace, and the dancing / music making is FUN! I really feel, I have learned something practical that I can use to improve my life after listening to the talk on Sunday. There is a vegetarian potluck buffet after the service. Everyone brings something to share, then we visit and enjoys each others company. Ava has made this a wonderful sanctuary for women.

The service was hosted by Christine Caine, in which she tied numbers 27 to the women's suffrage movement. Instead of making it about what it's actually about: God's character, his justice, and his attentiveness to the needs of his people. She instead took us on a nonsensical journey of women's suffrage. Based on the Bible, Christine Cain should not have an authoritative teaching position over men. Based on her teachings today, she should not have that over women either. She is misguided, and I pray that she finds a firmer foundation in Jesus instead of progressive politics. This rebuke is from somebody who loves Jesus and thinks the word of God is authoritative. I will pray that your church finds a more biblical outlook. Maybe just stick to the Gospel instead of very incoherent ramblings. It's been a long time since I've been in a church service where I felt challenged by the Holy Spirit to get up and walk out in the middle of the service risking embarrassment in which I did. I hope you take this rebuke seriously from someone who loves Jesus and and loves you.

Thank you for the lesson in how not to treat people. I will be sure to demonstrate the complete opposite of what was shown here when i treat my patients.

Next, the pastor came right out and addressed the situation with masks, etc. (this was 2021). He calmly, but clearly, stated the leadership's thought process of how they'll be interacting with public policy, and then extended welcome for each of us to act on our own convictions. Mask or not, our only objective here is to worship our Lord. That was so freeing in such a tense time! My wife and I have grown so much in our relationships with God - learning about and experiencing Him for who He is, not who we want Him to be. This is a small church, but that means everyone is here because they WANT to be. There's no show, not a ton of structured programs, just real life.

It is the most delicious honey that I've ever found! I get the wildflower with the honeycomb inside, and by extra bottles to give as gifts. They sell the honey in their store, and the proceeds help support the monastery. Today, while purchasing honey, we had a Swami teach us about "Chaitanya". We learned that Sanskrit means "consciousness," "awareness," or "life force." It can also mean "energy," "enthusiasm," or "intelligence". It was a beautiful ride down living Oak Canyon road. There is a beautiful hiking trail in this area as well. Feeling very fortunate that we have so much stuff to do, and learn about here in Orange County!

I feel like they really put a lot of effort in their music ministry. I've also been to the afternoon UCI student Mass and it was really well done. Father Ben Tran seems like the exact fit for this Mass and the college choir was my favorite. They sang the Our Father like I remember hearing it growing up at my home Church (KMCC), bringing back memories. I pray this parish keeps on growing and maintains their fervent faith into the future.

Came here for the America 250 Years Celebration…read more Plenty of parking next to the temple. Had a great time here. The light show was fantastic! The music that accompanied the show was awesome. Very upbeat. It matched the light show perfectly! Had a blast watching the lights and music blended well together. It was a very fun experience. Free, one-size sarongs are available at a table to the LEFT of check-in (near the Men's restroom). Drop them in the return basket when done.The Footwear TrickShoes must be removed before climbing the entrance stairs. The stone steps get intensely hot under the sun (reaching ~120°F even on 90°F days). My bare feet were in so much pain that my smartwatch HR spiked instantly!The Fix: Bring thick socks before entering. Walk directly on the white marble stripes by the handrails--white marble reflects heat and stays much cooler. Experience: It was eye-watering hot before I realized the temperature difference midway up. I was stepping on my daughter's sarong to save my feet while yelling at her not to trip! Learn from me and use the white tracks from step one. Hidden Architectural TreasuresThe interior marble carvings (Italian shrine stone, Indian floors) are breathtaking. Each tier tells a story: Floor Level: Peacocks, fish, and turtles are at eye level on column bases. PCI is a group of people who aren't afraid to be imperfect, and value community, love and applying the Bible to their lives above all else!
