Last year his office merged with Dr Sessions bc Sessions is retiring so Dischinger office is twice as busy accommodating all of Sessions patients too-- it is impossible to get appt times before or after school, he has a 3rd orthodontist who sees many of his patients instead of him for check ups (which wasn't approved or discussed with me before this started happening), and he only uses "Spark" aligners bc he is paid by that company to push that product. There are also like 10 patient chairs in the 1 treatment area they have, practically on top of each other with no division between the chairs...so you have no privacy when you are getting treatment, and you hear everyone else's personal health information and treatments, which made me very uncomfortable. The docs hop from chair to chair and spend as little time as possible with patients, it's run like an assembly line. It's a shame bc I like the support staff that work there, but the office has gone really down hill in the last year since the merger.

We were sold on Invisalign and now I am realizing that this is a cash cow business for them. Dumb on my part to think that is possible for a CHILD to wear Invisalign for 22 hours a day(hahahahahaha), and never to lose them, and do so for over a year. But I guess I blew all of our insurance money on this set of Invisaligns so we have to stick with it. As others have mentioned, it is frustrating to get an appointment. If something breaks, or falls off, they don't save any time in their daily schedule to fit a quick "emergency" appointment in, you have to wait 4 weeks and in turn have to pause your treatment because of said problem. I look back at the appointments we've had and we've been given very little information, things were missing that should have been given to us and I just feel that we are literally just dollar signs, being rushed out the door.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, they tell you the next availability is 6 WEEKS OUT. They make no effort to get you in. Oh, and he has metal braces on the bottom and ceramic on the top. He needs to go in almost every month to fix the wire on the top that inevitably pokes him in cheek.

After an evaluation, Joe told me that he didn't see an urgent need for me to get braces and couldn't recommend that I do it at this time. I was very grateful for the honesty and approach that he took. He could have easily recommended that I do everything and sell me services, but he didn't.
