Goemans standard service repairs were adequate....when you buy extended coverage - it's horrible... 3rd party service thats 3rd rate at best. You cannot reach them, when you do, they're unresponsive and leave you waiting for a resolution for problem. I would NOT recommend. Highly disappointed. read more

Not totally impressed. Bought a KitchenAid Dishwasher Dec. 29/22 with the extended warranty. We noticed that it is starting to rust on the outside panel of the door by the trim and on the bottom. Goemans said it is not cover. It is impossible to get in touch with KitchenAid which they told me to do. My microwave gets used maybe once a week as there are only 2 in the household so never been over or miss used. in touch with KitchenAid which they told me to do. I attended the store in May to purchase 8 appliances for a new home build for delivery in November. This was the outcome: - Dishwasher was not ordered properly by the sales associate leading to a delay of getting one. This was only discovered on the day prior to delivery. -One appliance was advised the day before delivery that it was on back order with no eta. -The wrong refrigerator was delivered. Goemans stated that it could not be used while they sorted out getting the proper refrigerator which was also not readily available. They then requested a $57 processing fee for their mistake. -One appliance showed up inoperable. Upon being notified they stated they would send a repair person. They advised they were not responsible for damaged appliances that the manufacturer sends. The appliance repair person attended and advised it was unfixable. Goemans was advised and the process is ongoing. It has been weeks since delivery. -During the delivery, the front door and trim around the door was damaged. Upon being notified that the trim and door were damaged I was advised to contact the builder of the home to have them repair this. While each customer service agent I spoke to presented as helpful, the issues were not resolved in a timely fashion. read more

Updating my review to 4* following a resolution of my case. I am happy with the appliances and I appreciate Tammy and Laura from Head Office reaching out to my in order to get my issues resolved in a timely manner. I am obviously still not happy with the fact that not having a range for a little over a week did require us to rely on restaurants on take out, which in turn resulted on unexpected expenses, but at last we have a new range. With regards to my experience interacting with the store manager in Kitchener, I remain by my original assessment. Original review below for reference: TL:DR: Goeman's wants nothing to do with you once the appliance is out the door - not their problem - even if the appliance is brand new, has not been used, and has been delivered severely scratched. To say that the store manager needs to educate himself regarding customer relations is the understatement of the year. Pathetic. Words cannot express how disappointed I am with the post-sales service that Goemans offers their customers. I will most definitely never do business with this store again and should anyone ask me for advice on the topic of buying appliances I will surely encourage every single person to look elsewhere. On Saturday, Nov 9, I had all my appliances delivered - range, refrigerator, microwave, chest freezer and dishwasher. The delivery folks were in and out in a hurry, not waiting for me to do a through check of all appliances for scratches and dents. I did make sure to see the stainless steel surfaces were in pristine but a couple hours later, when I finally got around to remove all the remaining plastics from the appliances, I find a cooking surface severely scratched, as you can see in the pictures - mind you that at this point we had gotten rid of our old appliances. Since Saturday, I have called Goemans customer services over 40 times, have been promised numerous call backs without having received a single one, have had service calls booked on my behalf without my consent, was told a replacement was pending since Monday, to be tolday today (thursday) that replacements aren't processed without a technician first assessing the damaged appliance, and it wasn't until I finally stopped trying to get anywhere with Goemans and contacted Whirloop and Maytag directly that I actually got someone to listen to me. First let me say the in house team at the Kitchener location is exceptional! polite, helpful, friendly, organized, efficient, you name it! *however I purchased my washer, dryer, fridge, range, range hood and dishwasher from Goeman's and every single appliance has has some defect and/or some major component break on it, every single one. everything is 2 years or younger and this is completely unacceptable. Did I get defective overstock? I would never shop here again, I would never recommend anyone shop here and don't get me started on the horrendous head office customer service experience. We purchased an LG fridge, washer and dryer (with stacking kit). Due to supply chain issues related to COVID we had to wait a couple of months to get them. This, of course was outside Gorman control. However, the fridge was scratched at delivery and was both reported by their delivery people and noted on this delivery receipt. We are now three weeks later and no one can tell us when we can expect the replacement door. We used the LG washer/dryer for the first time this past weekend and it was a disaster. Water leaking out of the bottom of the machine, rinse/spin cycle missed entirely, it got stuck at one point in a rinse cycle that went on for 45 minutes. We have spoken to both Goemans after sale service centre a number of times and at their suggestion called LG directly with regard to the washer repairs or replacement. The person we spoke to suggested the water leakage was result of the amount of soap used (although the water leaking from the machine was not soapy), and the problems with cycles was due to incorrect water pressure. We are on City water. They are reluctantly sending a technician out to look at the unit in a couple of weeks, but warned us if the tech finds nothing wrong with the machine we will have to pay for the service call. This has been an extremely unsatisfactory experience with both Goemans and LG and I would not recommend either company based on this experience. read more

Horrible experience. Purchased a fridge and dealt with a sales guy by the name of Joe Steduto and put a $600 deposit down. We subsequently called joe 1.5 weeks later and cancelled the order because we found the fridge elsewhere with a much better delivery. I called again and left a message for him because we had not received our refund for 3 weeks and he never returned our call. I then find out he never cancelled our order. Live ~ 2 hrs away from KW store but had a great experience ordering through Michael. I echo the experience of another review - the delivery/customer service is pathetic. We ordered a full suite of appliances in March - a substantial $ order - three months in advance of needing the appliances!! Two days before June 17 delivery we receive a call from offshore call centre telling us fridge and range hood are on backorder until June 26. Zero responsibility taken by offshore call centre. Zero flexibility in getting delivery as soon as it arrives - i.e. have to wait an extra 10 days AFTER it arrives in warehouse to get delivery to our area. Seriously disappointed in this approach to customer service. Shame on you Goeman's. I completely regret spending our hard earned money on a large appliance purchase at your store. read more

Very unhappy with this company. In October 2018 bought all new KitchenAid appliances along with the extended warranty. Nov. 4, 2019 contacted company due to issues with the switch on the convection oven/microwave and broken fridge drawer. Dealing with the warranty company and their contractors has been a nightmare. A1 appliance services visited our home the week before Christmas (yes, we had to wait that long for the parts) to fix the issue. The employee from A1 was very inexperienced. He brought the wrong part for the fridge and tried to leave the house before even checking that his repair to the convection/microwave even worked. Upon checking, he left the microwave totally unusable and said he will have to order another part. He couldn't get out of our house fast enough. Here the week before Christmas, we were left without the use of our microwave and convection oven. We contacted Goeman's and the manager and they have done NOTHING!! Even though we bought the appliances from them, and the warranty has Goeman's name all over it, the Manager has not even bothered to follow up with us. It is now January 2 and we still do not have a working appliance. Where is the customer service here? We spent over $10,000 with Goeman's and would not do so again. read more

Terrible experience. They delivered a fridge that we determined did not work the day it was delivered. Goemans refused to replace the fridge, saying that it would be referred to a repair service. The repair service eventually determined that they could not get the part to repair the fridge, so they referred it to GE (the manufacturer). It took 5 WEEKS in total to get a replacement fridge. During this time we called Goemans several times and they said that we had to deal directly with the manufacturer. We phoned GE multiple times and they never returned the call. When I finally convinced Goemans to call GE, GE claimed they did not have the serial number they needed. We produced proof that we had sent it two weeks previously. Finally, after 5 weeks, at least 10-15 phone calls to Goemans and GE, a new fridge showed up. In the interim, Goemans website showed that they had the same model in stock and could have replaced our fridge. Simply a cost avoidance issue for Goemans which meant we did not have a fridge for 5 full weeks. Terrible, terrible service. They took our money and then said it was our responsibility to deal directly with the manufacturer. read more

Not happy at all. Ordered nearly $15000 worth of appliances. All were a bit of a wait, but that's fine. When our new fridge finally came in, the delivery guys dropped it in our house and damaged a brand new wall and the fridge. We were offered a discount of $200 for a $5000 fridge. Wow. Refused the fridge and then were taken for a ride of "coming in next month, followed by coming in, in 2months and so on. 7 months later, from the original order, we cancelled. We did get a refund, but no remorse or anything extra for having our money for over half a year etc etc. After asking if they are willing to do anything extra for us, no one seemed to call back. The experience started off ok with sales person Jane. She was helpful and quick to reply. Unfortunately that where the pros end. I ordered my appliances months in advance as they were for a new home. Paid the deposit and then a couple weeks before paid in full. THE DAY BEFORE delivery was scheduled (11:30am on the Thursday) I received a call indicating that 3 of the 5 appliances that were to be delivered at 9am on the Friday we're either discontinued or back ordered. Spent the whole afternoon trying to get in touch with a manager as none of the store staff had he authority to really approve anything but kept being offered things they couldn't deliver on. I waited in store for 3 hours until manager Reid was out of his meeting. They absorbed the cost of repairs needed to accommodate the new appliances selected. I then started having problems with the water softener I purchased from them and am now going on 3 weeks of trying to get someone out to fix this thing. It was just installed on thanksgiving weekend. We renovated our kitchen and laundry room and within 3 months our microwave stopped working, our ice maker in the freezer broke and our washing machine is gushing water out the bottom. My experience with Michael at the Kitchener store was excellent from the start of the purchase process to the delivery plan. I was given quite a bit of time to learn about the 4 appliances I purchased and the price was excellent. I visited 3 other stores and Goemans was the right place for me! Goemans kept pushing the issue off onto GE and other service workers. We had someone come out FOUR times to try and fix our stove and Goemans was not only unsympathetic but refused to do anything about the issue. They took NO responsibility and delivered very poor customer service throughout the entire process. It has been over a month since my appliances were delivered and I still DO NOT have a working stove. We were connected with Goemans by our kitchen designer. While the person with whom we dealt over the phone and email was very nice and helpful, once we came in to the store to finalize our order, we felt like we were more of a bother than customers. Finding out details was like pulling teeth. No one voluntarily offer to do anything other than what was absolutely necessary to complete our transaction. Very disappointing. We had ordered all the appliances from Goeman's for which we paid some advance last year in August. In June, this year we made the full payment. We kept calling them to make sure the delivery happened on time. After a lot of back and forth we were finally told everything except the fridge will be delivered. They did deliver and install everything except the fridge on August 30th. We were told the fridge would be delivered in Sept. No one called to update us on the status. September comes and goes. we call them back and they give us a new date, Oct 28th. October comes and goes, now we have a new date Nov 30. I now have serious doubts they will ever deliver it to us. The customer service is very poor. I understand the situation is normal because of Covid, why cant they call us and let us know what is going on ? Why do we have to call up and go through the bad customer service to get an update everytime when we have paid for everything ? And btw, they sent us a small loaner fridge after a month (for which we had to make numerous calls) which turned out to be leaky ! read more

I just went into this store a few minutes ago to get a quote for appliances for my new home. I walked in and got no acknowledgement from anyone so I proceeded to what what I was looking for as my heart is already set on the products I want. So I go to look for help and finally get this guy who clearly had no time for me. I tell him which products I wanted (fridge, stove, dishwasher (all GE CAFE) and washer and dryer (Electrolux) and he just gets numbers barely even looking at me. Then he gives me the prices on a post it note- so I said can I have total of all products and he's like yeah just add it up. I asked does that include the GE Cafe promotion which he didn't seem to even know he had that promotion then he says yeah just deduct it then- so I walked out because clearly they have enough business! If I'm spending over $10,000 in your store you would think they would be nice and not so short rushing you out. I didn't even understand the difference between 2 machines and he barely explained what the numbers he was saying even meant! In a world where 100 stores are competing for clientele I would rather take my money to people who want it and deserve it! For their prices they need better customer service. I would recommend CAS instead or even Home Depot for that matter! Maybe he bought I can't afford it- but if I'm walking in there it's because I can afford what I want- anyways, their loss! I bought an over the range microwave and was told they are standard size by their sales rep. That is not true and the unit I purchased did not fit. I requested an exchange and was told they are charging me a 25% restocking charge. This was never disclosed to me at the time of purchase or on my original bill. I have called and emailed, nobody is getting back to me. I made a comment on an advertisement FB post and they replied asking me to DM them. I did, they haven't replied. Once installed, it was obvious that the unit was installed incorrectly. After making numerous phone calls and finally when somebody came out to have a look at it, they advised there was nothing they could do and would not rectify the situation. Buyer beware.******* I drove 1 hour to their Toronto location to pick up a Samsung dryer. Drove home and installed it the next morning. Once installed, it wouldn't work. We were instructed to call Samsung, which we did. Went through all the troubleshooting and they indicated that they would send a technician to look at it. I told Samsung that is unacceptable and that if I paid for a new dryer, I should be getting a NEW dryer - not a broken one that has been repaired. The agent on the phone apologised and instructed me to return the dryer to the store and get a new one since it was less than 24 hours AND it was broken on delivery. This is where the story gets fun. I was told to bring it back and get a new one by the Toronto location. I asked if they could possibly send me a new one and pick up the old one since I had already spend 2 hours on the road the previous night. Cost of delivery would have been $100 (as quoted prior to purchase). I was told they needed to clear it with head office. Their customer service team called me back a few hours later and told me that they, in fact, would not be delivering it AND they would no longer be accepting my return of the dryer and my only option was to have it repaired. After being told by Samsung AND the manager at the Toronto location, that I could return it, this VERY rude woman is telling me that is no longer an option. Furious, I called back the manager at the Toronto location who eventually tells me I can bring it back and he will take care of it. Bottom line, I didn't get them to deliver the new dryer. I had to take an additional 2 hours of driving time AND wait for them to get the dryer ready once I arrived because they were busy dealing with potential customers when I arrived (even though they had the whole morning to get it ready for me). There was ZERO apologies once I got there. In fact, I had to hear about how 10-15% of the appliances they sell are lemons and their POLICY is to not take anything back, but to just repair it. Now I bought a mid-range appliance, but I can imagine how angry I would have been if I had bought Wolf appliances, or spend thousands on multiple products from here and they was broken on delivery. I am pretty sure this is their MO to avoid going the extra mile for unhappy customers. They were rude and unaccommodating. I would never recommend buying anything from here to anyone.
