Ashley who guided me to the patient exam room and did my triage/pre-assessment was very kind and patient, and also had some pretty stylish boots. For a medical office, I must say they were a stylish bunch and I let them know it, but I did go on their Casual Friday as they told me it was. The office was also very clean, smelled nice, and even was decorated for Christmas. It seems that they are quite booked because the physicals they had available to book were few which is a good sign. It's just a little bit challenging if you are a new patient (which I was/am). Overall, I just wished to say that the staff was very nice. Dr. Sarah (who is an ARNP, but i still call nurse practitioners and PA's doctors anyways lol) was pleasant and went through my health questionnaire and also addressed my cold/swollen lymph nodes concern. I also like that there is a pharmacy located behind the office as well. A nice added touch was the Christmas tree in the corner that had knit mittens on it that you could either take a pair from or donate a pair to. There is also a bulletin board that communicates things such as vaccine schedules, therapy help, and other things like a wellness drumming session which i did not know existed. I had to schedule my physical exam a few months out, but I appreciated the promptness of my appt. and the candor in which the staff demonstrated towards me. I hope this review helps start a positive review trend.

I never met a more amazing health care provider. She actually listens and helps with your issues. The only reason I stayed during the rough patch was her. I have never regretted it. It all started almost 2 years ago, with the excellent care from the receptionists who answered the phone who are always willing to help me scheduling appointments or rescheduling, lol, you know when life happens. They have always made me feel like I am being heard with my request!! Then when aids call my mom's name they're right there to assist her and have patience and understanding of her conditions. They are kind as they go about their duties to get my mom's chart and vitals ready for the doctor, even if she repeats herself 20 times in 10 minutes!!! Then comes in Dr. Therese Ray! - she's a GOD send to our family and I (we) feel lucky that she's not overwhelmed if there are 1,2, or sometimes 3 in the room asking questions lol. My mom's condition ranges from her heart, diabetes, Dementia etc.,etc.. Dr. Ray is honest and patient, she understands my mom's needs and I feel so confident in every decision she has recommended - from treatment plans, medications, and for the truth and about some hard issues ahead. But my mom had so many specialists before and so many doctors and doctors appointments it was exhausting and very depressing. Unfortunately I don't think that she gets paid enough like all those other specialists my mother had to go to before we came here CHC. I know Dr. Ray has a big sigh of relief when I or all of the other family members leave her room. KIND, CONSIDERATE, RESPECTFUL, and Professional, that's my experience. After visiting CHC on Pine Street for nearly a dozen appointments, our family must readily and happily report that THIS health care center CARES...Dr. Ray and the staff all CARE!! Having moved to Vermont after living in Arizona, where care is NOT so attentive and professional, I cannot imagine a better health center for my mother-in-law.

I had to reschedule a few days ahead of my appointment and was assured multiple times on the phone that this would be no problem (their stated policy is to charge a no-show fee for cancellations within 1 business day, so I checked really carefully to make sure this wouldn't count as within 1 business day, and they assured me it would not). A month later I received a $100 no-show fee bill. Called the office and they insisted that Maria Carracino (the doctor I was supposed to see) signed off on this so there's nothing anyone can do. So despite being ultra careful when rescheduling, and asking them to confirm that there would be no fee, I wound up with this charge. Super shady business practices, and I'm now out $100 despite never having actually seen a doctor there (which I obviously won't now because I don't want to risk more unexpected charges in the future). When I brought this up in a local parenting group, THREE other moms told me they had the same experience at this office. Steer clear! BTW - I called 3 separate times just triple-checking that the next appointment I had scheduled was canceled, so that they wouldn't charge me another no-show, and the first TWO times the receptionist I spoke with told me they hadn't yet canceled it despite me asking! I guess they just wanted to charge me again...

She referred me to my primary care physician, Dr. Ann Goering at Winooski Family Health, years ago and I couldn't be happier. Recently, Dr. Goering referred me back the Dr. Fleming for a consult. Since seeing her, my overall health in addition to the condition I was sent there for has improved more dramatically than I could have hoped for. Her mix of Chinese herbal medicine, FirstLine Therapy/Metagenics, vitamins/supplements, and other natural remedies and solutions have combined to get me on the mend faster than I ever have been before. Dr. Fleming takes you in as a whole person and sees connections to your illness in places where you might not know to look. Better still, she explains everything to you in a way that makes it impossible not to understand. I trust her advice wholly because the proof is in the pudding. The first visit was at a very busy time and did take quite awhile but I didn't need anything really urgent. M.D's and P.A.'s were good. This was the only place that could perform an I&D that day so was very grateful.
