I only give them 2 stars because they did try to correct their $2500 mistake. This company owns Ashley Furniture store in Troy, Ohio. My wife and I went there and decided to purchase 2 leather rocker recliners from them. After getting them it wasn't a month and both rocker recliners were breaking down. I called and they agreed to take them in and fix them. It was another month before the parts came in. They came and got the chairs, leaving us without anything in return, and "fixed" them with new mechanisms. It's been a month and now those mechanisms are popping and cracking like the first did. And to boot, the seat cushions are breaking down and are lop-sided. They peddle trash for a hugely inflated price and then patch-work them together. If I could leave zero stars, I would. My husband and I recently moved to town and based on google reviews we came here. It is obvious that google reviews can be bought, as you can tell by all the positive ones they have, made by people who have only given one review. The yelp reviews tell the real story! The sales staff treated us rudely, probably based on our appearance. Maybe not, but that is the only thing I can come up with unless they are naturally rude. Secondly, the furniture was priced extremely high. And the delivery cost! Are you kidding me -- I have to pay you to put together some barstools? First off this store if highly over priced! Second, our helper was Emily, she was very rude and picked on the fact that we couldn't afford a $1,000 mattress. Once we purchased a bed we went home to assemble it and it was built wrong, the headboard is 2inches away from the foot board creating tension on the bed. The worst part is when we went back to return it, she told us that we could not make a return, we were not aware of that when we bought it. Awful place. read more

I do NOT recommend purchasing from here. If you do, check other stores to compare pricing before you buy. Check your delivery thoroughly to make sure you get what you ordered. They delivered a split king adjustable base which was different from what we ordered. Dallas and Tillie said the base we ordered was discontinued by Serta so we got a free upgrade. I contacted Serta and was advised the item is not discontinued. It can be purchased at Ashley's, Bed Bath an Beyond and Menards. Goffena still shows it available to purchase on their website. I feel I am getting the runaround after paying almost $6000.00 cash for our order. If it isn't resolved soon, we will take to small claims court. Update: One month later and we have new bases. I first went to the store looking for a mattress, but wasn't 100% ready to buy. I found one that I REALLY liked. I asked the sales person to come back with an offer...she said "we have a $150 coupon...so that's it." I said, "I'm going to pay 100% cash and I'll pick it up...there's nothing more you can do?" "No." I walked out. After visiting a few other stores, I never found one I liked as much as the one from this store. I went back Saturday (6/27/15) and went through the same thing. This time the salesman came back with 2 quotes...one for cash, one for financing. The total was $1,393. I said, "if we can get it closer to $1350 we can make this happen." He said, "No." So I walked out. People want to know why local shops are dying, here's a perfect example. $43 is all it would have taken to complete the sale snd for me to recommend to everyone. read more

Goffena Furniture - Interior Design Near Me - Sidney, Ohio

I highly wouldn't suggest purchasing any products from Goffena Furniture, especially from sales representatives Dallas and/or Ashley. We purchased a sectional and rug for multiple thousands of dollars and were promised the products in 6-8 weeks, after 11 weeks we finally received our products and they were damaged. We were lied to about the warranty on the couch and the chaise being powered. After confronting them about our damaged products we were offered a discount on our furniture not a replacement for brand new furniture that hadn't even been sat on. They also admitted that they didn't clearly know what products they were selling because the chaise didn't even come in a powered option. I am highly unsatisfied with their customer service and the way they treat their customers. Our order was returned on their truck and taken back to Sidney. I will NEVER step foot in their store again. I understand we may have gotten a "lemon" of a purchase, but I just wanted to warn others of Goffena Furniture's low-quality products, refusal to fix preexisting issues on brand new furniture and their terrible customer service. We had an excellent experience with the staff today in dealing with my elderly parents. Very kind helpful and understanding folks we worked with today. Terrible customer service at this store. Tilly was our sales person. They were friendly up until the point we paid ~ $3,750.00 cash upfront for our total purchase. Then all the fake friendliness went away. They were done with us and clearly do not want our business again. It took a month and a half to receive our Tempurpedic mattress, foundation, two pillows, and mattress protector. We were told two weeks and were promised that just so they could get the sale, as we told them we would just get the items from Sleep Outfitters instead since they had a lesser ship time. Every time I called, it was a new excuse as to why our order wasn't in. Then we were eventually offered two additional free pillows to make up for the extended wait time. I did not ask for any compensation, this was given to me. Those two free pillows were placed on back order so we had to wait even longer to receive those. A little over a week after we received our initial purchase, I did not receive a call that they came in, I had to call them myself to see if they had arrived. When I arrived at the store to pick up my pillows, no one greeted me, asked me how my purchase was, I was only handed the pillows by Tilly and was sent on my way. Completely missed opportunity on Goffnea's part for a new customer as I am a new homeowner. I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more
