The Olde Mint Antiques is my favorite shop in town. They have a great selection of items. From antique and vintage collectibles, to art and books, and even a variety of crafts by local artisans, I can always spend a while browsing The Olde Mint. Located in a great historical location in downtown Bellefontaine, it's one of the many businesses that's changing the dynamic in our long idle downtown shopping district. The previous location was also very nice and I enjoyed going in there as well, but it didn't have the same charm that the current location does. I prefer when my favorite antique shop is in an antique building. ;) The proprietor is always a joy to talk to and I always learn something new when I stop in. I always recommend local shoppers to The Olde Mint for gift shopping, as you can find something nice and original that is a wonderful alternative to the big box stores. Supporting small business, your local economy, and getting a special gift is a win all around. I highly recommend a stop if you are in Bellefontaine. A great example of an antique shop filled with a wide variety of items by numerous vendors. If you are a book fan, this is great option. There are enough books in there that you won't be able to browse them all in one stop. Not officially a bookstore, but the second floor is bookstore in itself. There's also a good bit of vinyl (records) for all you vintage music fans. All in all, well worth your time. I wish Bellefontaine had more places just like this one. Every stop I've made in there has been the highlight of my day. When I travel to other old small towns, it's exactly places like this I enjoy going in the most. :) read more

I love Olde Mint Antiques! As a frequent shopper, I have found the best treasures there at very reasonable prices. I did enjoy the old location however this new location just fits better with the vast selection of items, they feel more at home here. I appreciate what the owner has done to make the browsing experience enjoyable too! Each display area is decorated with such a lovely style which inspires many decor possibilities. The lady who is there has always been helpful and has put items on hold for me for a later purchase! Incredible customer service. My husband and I have been customers for several years, we love the store, its located in a beautiful old building. Three floors of pure joy! Let me just say it's a new adventure every time we go for a visit. There is always something new and different, something for everyone.
